It's sad that they hate swap cancelling so much. This is one of the coolest and most unique mechanics in the game and they screw it up
both yinlin and chal had so much long ass animation, they should keep it that way because only sweety and hardcore people use that advantage

They didn’t, you’re just relying to CBT2 sources that is purposely for Beta Only and all of their Stats, Passive, Skills, Liberation, Intro/Outro are obviously subject to changes, if they keep all of the stats in CBT2 and applied that to all character in Global then that will be UNBALANCED and that’s how they killed the game, your judgment and critical thinking sometimes dumdum buddy you dont know how to balance the game, glad you’re not devs.

CN community and Encore main have found out that Yinlin and Encore can actually have synergies in quickswap team. I think i saw Prywden just done the vid for demonstrate how quickswap Encore Yinlin work.
Funny how you'd like to use them on different teams so they can use the same weapon... but using them together is also a really strong team
@@byeguyssry funny fact is that one of them (Yinlin or Encore) would take field time more than the other one, so the one taking more field time would want Cosmos Ripple. They are like never meant to be together but wonderfully working together!

It's just a translation thing. In chinese it's 傷害加深. 傷害 = damage, 加深 = deepen, if you translate them separately / without context. That said, if you think about it in the chinese contextual way, it translates into deepen wounds, which makes alot more sense. But we don't call it that in english, we call it damage amplify.

@@louishu8214This is the main problem of the game for now, apart from echo problem. No context awareness in all of their translations. They should bring both a native Chinese speaker who knows English well and a native English speaker who knows Chinese well so that they could supervise the localization process. That's how to get rid of all those "deepen", "uncles" who are not uncles, and other weird wording everywhere.

I also found it weird that people were downplaying Jiyan because he's a dps and Yinlin is a subdps like we should remember that they can always release a better Mortefi that will boost Jiyan's output and also release a subdps that buffs all type damage instead of electro which makes yinlin not that futureproof as they make it out to be...

I think Yinlin is on the team so that Calcharo no longer needs to use swap cancel. Previously, he needed swap cancel to maximize his damage but now he can stay on the field longer with the help of buffs and lightning strikes from Yinlin. And you can still perform swap cancels but the amount is reduced. With Yinlin, you can only use swap cancel on the last heavy attack before Calcharo's liberation disappears.
but if u swap cancel calcharo heavy it cant be knocked or cancelled in any way and u cant dodge during it. swap cancel means u can just dodge and do dmg at same time
People have discovered you can animation cancel Calcharo's long ass basics using gadgets allowing you to perform 3 Death Messengers despite dodging a couple times.

@@wolfsign9168 And that was busted as fuk also pretty easy to do, so it's an intended nerf because you shouldn't be able to have a completely safe, easy playstyle while being rewarded with the highest possible DPS.
when you mention about smoothness of the character gameplay, then Jiyan + Mortefi + 1 is really the best team right now. Easy to rotate, easy to combo with Jiyan, and the dmg outcome is very good. Kuro literally fk up the Yinlin + Calcharo combo, having Yinlin right now barely buff the Calcharo team in tower, but her weapon is still very good, and i think can still be used for a long time. really consider to get it for Encore.
I use jianxin+calcaro and yinlin+calcaro. Honestly i prefer jianxin over yinlin on calcaro reason cuz damn calcaro animation during his slam attack is quite long if u get hit during that animation it will be quite brutal. Having jianxin shield is a saving grace but dmg wise yinlin+calcaro is definitely better. I honestly just run her as sub dps for whatever team.
Learn when to commit and when not to commit. People became dependent on his swap canceling i-frames, it's lazy. If you play as intended and get gud, Cals gameplay will feel more rewarding.

I can see that many people are complaining about the swap cancel thingy being nerfed, but i didn't realize it. Skill issue ig, But I don't really mind, I'm just enjoying the game however I wish. I think it's best if I ignore the community and enjoy myself, as long as I have fun I'm good 😊

i wouldnt say shes clunky, but u need a line of cocaine to play her and just swap every 2 seconds. U can play as typical 1+2+3+ rotation but its 50% lose of dmg. Just look at 1.1 characters leak guys. U might want to skip

She nowhere near a main dps. Her entire kit is centered around being a sub dps. Most of her kit is about doing damage while not on field. And she doesn't even need that much field time to do her thing. Even her weapon which is her best in slot and made for her basically screams sub dps. Just because she doesn't support quickswap doesn't mean she isn't a sub dps. Mortefi also has to switch off field clause in his outro skill yet I hear no one calling him not a sub dps.
I just think we don't have a electro dps that fits her like mortefi fits jiyan yet

Ease of use is just better overall and translates to more dps. Jiyan also has a potential to be better once a 5* Mortefi comes out.
i personally think the damage wasn't the real reason for them to nerf that team
people were abusing the fact that when you do the swap the other characters become invisible so basically with this team it's impossible for you to get hit no matter how powerful the boss is and that defeat the whole purpose of the game
but it's really sad that they had to change it that way
i don't mind that when you swap from chalcharo you'll lose the buffs but the change with her skill is really bad

Current testing shows her rotations have been significantly buffed from CBT2 when it comes to quickswapping, as her forte generations and earlier attacks are much smoother- it's her longer strings that are harder to pull off, but those are actually not wanted for most of her best team anyway?

While it's not something I think they explicitly advertise, I think swap cancelling is one of the BIGGEST selling points of this game.
And they're making it worse.
No they're not. If it didn't work like that in the beta you wouldn't be complaining. You can still swap cancel, just don't expect way more DPS than a traditional hypercarry team. The idea that swap cancelling is hard in the first place is stupid. It's actually one of the easiest playstyles because of all the I-frames it gives you.
Good because it looks stupid. Same with animation canceling. If you're to lazy to learn when to commit to a long attack animation and when not to, you just suck at the game if you are dependent on i-frames.
I mean it seems completely fine to me tbh. If anything it makes more sense to me that it works like this.

I completely dissagree with her feeling clunky, the attacks have a good satisfying rythm and an insane AoE, which is her speciallity, having to be on field to trigger her skill effects is something almost all characters have, they want you to spend time on field and makes rotations more interesting, the swap cancel tech could be more interesting if outro skills didn't end if the character is swapped back to before issapearing from the map.
She pretty much mine preferable playstyle tho and I don't even regret pulling her till my astrisk got yeet

The duo Cal Yin still fine, it just both have some actions that not smooth, so the game feels slow. But I think their coverage are good enough
I watched his stream and I agree with what he said based on his expectations. However, my expectations were from CBT1 and she feels way smoother to me now. I ran her through a bunch of holograms last night and she had no issues - very strong. So personally I don’t agree with his assessment but since I saw him struggling in stream doing what he was trying to do, I can see why he’s saying this.
So basically they kept the skill floor but lowered the ceiling for some reason. Like why punish the skilled players? It's a singleplayer game, keep the high ceiling for the skilled and keep the normal floor for the casuals.
And that's why I prefer Lingering Tunes Lingyang over the Glacio set. Not only it gives the outro skill dmg boost but also the 4 cost echo is smooth af to use.
you can put a 3 cost or 1 cost echo in the main slot.

As much I love Yinlin animations, I didn’t know this nerf goes hard as trying it myself. I thought the ONLY nerf for this team would be the Calcharo energy nerf but hell it is WAAAY worse. I love Yinlin but damn playing her feels really clunky.
I honestly dont think a lot of people care about swap cancelling. Maybe around 10% of the playerbase (those who are hardcore). Majority of people are casual, and they only care about gameplay, aesthetic, and fun.
Lmao this excuse would've worked in genshin but not WuWa.

@@Desticyit's still great I'm able to shred health bars and defense bars of bosses and other TD's but the nerf on both Yinlin outro skill and Calcharo energy regen def reduced the damage potential if you compare it to CBT2 but still overall really good pair especially with verina as damage buff and healer

Hit enemies first, when your Bar is full hold leftclick, enemies who have been hit and are in the range of your hold attack get marked. Now swap to Calcharo and enjoy

Pulled Yinlin on my alt account (lvl30 with calcharo) and she's very meh. My main (lvl 39) with Jiyan + his weapon is way better. However she's a very cool character! Great animations! But I'm saving on my main for 1.1.

Honestly, I'm just a casual and a lot of techs don't make sense to me so maybe that's why but I genuinely don't get why people say Calcharo is clunky to play with? I might not be playing him right but I do have fun with him just smashing his ult and skills and attacking like that. I came here to know if I should pull Yinlin for his team but I'm more confused now
personally, I love playing her, but I do agree that she can feel clunky at times, would love to move some of the ui elements around so I can keep track of the skill easier since I am a pc player
Swap cancel is kinda stupid like forcing everyone to do that like meta. You can play all characters the way you want 🤦🏻♀️I use all my characters without doing the swap thing because I enjoy watching their animations.
Can't also do the 3-4x jump because if you use her plunge animation can't press any buttons no more. i was looking forward exploring with her but disappointed when i found out it doesn't work on her.

What do you mean you can't cancel many of her attacks? You can swap cancel many of them (second skill, NA3,4, Fortitude) and save a lot of time. Dash canceling doesn't work well in this game. Sure, you don't wanna swap cancel back and forth with Calcharo during his burst window, but it still works the same for the charging/energy building phase.
Good video. I pulled for her and I have to say I dont find her kit as cluncky as you said but I see your point. I think it gonna take time to get used to her puppet atack delay animation.

I use her and calcharo with super fast rotations and swap cancels. It's very cool. Within a few seconds, both of them can deliver a lot of hits. If there's a display of how many combos are achieved, maybe in one minute it could reach 1000 combos. She's really worth it. She's fun, challenging to play and thicc as hell 😏
Im playin Yinlin + Calcharo and what I've noticed is- its about setting up the fight, like start the combat with Yinlin and then switch to Calcharo for massive burst.
More reason to not get yinlin is she's outro will disappear after calcha swap cancel🙃
I understand what you are saying, you want smooth gameplay characters and seamless transition when you are changing between characters but the majority of us don't care because we look at Yinlin and we instantly say we must get her😍 I don't have her yet but soon she will come home (sorry wallet)

It's crazy how Yinlin has literally no other benefit besides off field damage if you play quickswap shit. She might as well not even have an outro since it does literally fuck all if you quickswap
it's like the problem with Chixia you can do any thing in the hold E state. I really like Chixia if she could dash while E that would be perfect. (She can swap cancel a bit to to my tiny knowledge)

True but yinlin is a subdps where she deal DMG when not on field thus increasing DMG for infield characters.
Remember each character has different playstyle thus making them unique .So for now both jiyan and yinlin are almost equal in combat terms.

Yuanwu>calcharo in yingling team tbh, they need to get rid of calcharos dodge counter during his ultimate form. Dodging twice means u cant do 3 Mercy attacks and dodging once without cancelingg it with the skill means u cant either. Theres just no ammount of skill that can allow u to do 3 mercy attacks on calcharo 90% of the time unless the boss is staggered.

Is it reccomended to run Moonlit Clouds or Void Thunder? I know before release it seemed like CN prefffered Moonlit, but now I'm just getting mixed responses.

@@nanomachine3425honestly I’d suggest void thunder. Calcharo’s reliance on quickswap makes any buff on him useless, whereas the electro set can actually buff Yinlin’s off field and on field damage.
Does energy regen affect concerto or only resonance? If so and not playing quick swap then maybe moonlit, but pretty sure her personal damage (incl off-field) is notably higher with void thunder.
I'm using 2pc 2pc with an off-piece because holy substat hell 😂
Even tho jinhsi isn’t electro, I think she’ll work pretty well with yinlin because of yinlin’s liberation dmg bonus

Honestly aside from her skill canceling when dashing/swapping (yikes) everything else feels like game/Calcharo problems instead of problems with her own kit. These same problems could affect many more characters in the future, not just Yin + Calcharo combo.

I can almost see they will drop a Raiden level lightning DPS down the line. No doubt with massive personalities to boot.
What the hell are you talking about, they utterly buffed her forte generation and she can definitely be canceled between her Es for better forte gain if you want to. This just seems like you didn't test her various moves at all.
She is best in slot sub dps with every non-Jinyan main dps (including really good synergy with Havoc Rover), though her specific synergy with Calcharo had the obvious nerf everyone already knew about.
Thanks for the honesty, but I think you´re wrong at a lot of points. Yinlins animations get smoother once u understand her swaps and her swap back. E.g. you can do e1 e2 aa1 aa2 aa3 swap out, swap backm aa4 (combo continues, cause its "swapbackable" .
Despite of that her role in generall is a sub dps. There isn´t anything currently that is a better sub dps then yinlin, even though there´so only 1 other electro dmg.

That's what characters trial are for, you should have tested her and see if you like her or not before pulling
Even when her outro buffs are wasted after switching characters, the combined damage is still the highest we have in the game at the moment. Imagine if buffs did carry over, she'd be disgustingly broken. It's just boring that she's good plainly because of her damage multipliers and not because of actual team interactions and synergy. I'd rather her personal damage was lower but the buffs carried over after swapping so that an entire part of her kit wasn't useless.
Very true but the thing is if you lower her damage and keep overall team damage via swap CANCER teq its much worse for 90%+ of community because they never wanted to swap every 0.5 seconds. And i personally dont want damage to be gated behind ultra sweaty gameplay

I really hate what Kuro did to swapping in this game. One of the biggest advantages of WuWa, in comparison to other games, is combat, and for whatever reason, they've decided to turn its most unique aspect into shit, for no good reason. And it's unlikely that it will ever change, which is a shame.

@@kaionyoki3670 Eh, not exactly. The outro skills that give a 14s DMG deepen to the next characters seem to have been nerfed, in general. (Apparently, in CBT 2, you couls swap buffed characters without losing the buff. Though I'm not sure if this was intentional or not.)

After you Use ult use calcharo skill to cancel combo so he can stack up his passive faster so he can do the heavy attack before the boss get up

I pulled Yinlin because I want to use her as a DPS, I never cared for pairing with Calcharo.
Same here, i planned to use Yinlin as main dps until they release another dps with similar gameplay to pair with her.
Who should i use with her if i want her to be a main dps? I still picked calcharo from the 5 star selector a week ago cuz i thought their combo was still good.
Or should i still use her and calcharo?
@@lllvvThe combo Yin+Calc combo is still her best team as of now but generally I would say you should do what you want.
@@lllvv the issue with yinlin rn is she has no ideal DPS to use with her. Ppl who spent their selector on calcharo because they thought they would be broken becuz of CBT3 are left with a team that isn't inherantly better than Yinlin + Rover, Yuanwu, Encore, or even Jiyan.
I'm not saying Calcharo is bad with Yinlin, but it's not crazy broken like it was in CBT3. Maybe Yuanwu would be the closest thing to a Yinlin support, but if u have Calcharot built and you like him, by all means play him. Basically, play whoever u have built with Yinlin, but if u don't have Calcharot or dont have him built, don't bother pulling/building him for Yinlin because it's not better than running any other S tier DPS.
@@manofthepeople2165 yeah i already picked calcharo a week ago bc i thought their combo was still solid and didnt do much research and just went by what people said. Now here i am, it is what it is i guess. I have jiyan too so i could use him with yinlin like you said but i can just prob use him on another team for toa. Same with rover possibly with danjin.

I think i may hold out for an Encore / Changli team, especially since i dumped all my limited summons into Jiyan and Attempting to get his weapon 🤪😭
At 1.0, when I discover Outro skill's buff ... Oh shit ... for KURO switch cancel technique is not the meta, and Yinlin confirm that for me, especially because she is with Calcharo wich has ... many things that can be cancel. So if the kit design of Yinlin go against that, that means KURO don't want. But maybe we need math to evaluate the gain of switch cancel against loosing outro skill's buff. We will see.
I already hate Calcharo's playstyle, and after trying out yinlin she felt clunky and unsatisfying for me...At least I still have a week to get jiyan because he actually feels good.
