I tried something new on the channel! Let me know what you think of this kind of format. I realize it's a bit weird presenting an interview in this way, without seeing the developers actually say the things in the video, but right now I don't have the proper setup for that. Anyway, I really enjoyed making this video and it was awesome to get a chance to interact with developers for the first time. Also, a huge thank you to the developers, Timo and Joni, for taking the time to answer my questions!
A new "How Games Were Made" video is also on its way so stay tuned for that!
This format works for me so its great
It's awesome amn keep it up :D
This format is a real win-win scenario. It's one thing to hear a developer thinking back after their game is a success, but it's something completely different to hear from developers before they can tell if their game will succeed. Especially from a small studio. We get a fresh window into development, the devs get exposure for their hard work, and we all get to watch/learn from how the game performs after release. Great work!
@Connor There's so many indie games that deserve a spotlight, too many actually! Hopefully one day I can free up more time to help out more indie devs.
@@sirpaulmcd Thank you, glad to hear you liked it!
Dude you went above and beyond with this interview you could have not done much editing and given yourself a break but you went all out and it looks amazing
Thank you! I wanted to keep it more simple, but once I started editing I couldn’t help myself :P
ThatGuyGlen coming back with another absolute banger of a video. Here to hopefully juice that algorithm.
Much appreciated!
Dude, thank you so much for making this! It was so cool to hear the story of game as it is being developed, and it immediately made me want to go work on my own projects! Keep up the great content, man!
My pleasure! I always hope to motivate and inspire other developers!
I actually love this version of an interview more than over zoom or something. It let's the devs collect their ideas before sharing and let's you present that to us I'm the best way.
Love that vids can't wait for more 🔥
Glad you liked it! That's definitely true actually. I did get the sense that the developers took extra care in giving me detailed answers, which I really appreciated!
Very cool interview! You asked all the questions that I also had, and asked them very thoughtfully. I appreciate the developers’ thorough answers as well! Thanks for your hard work. It makes me very happy to see Stardew Valley inspiring similar gameplay and sentiment, since SV is my first ever farming sim game.
My pleasure, glad you liked the interview! :D
the idea of interviews with developers of small games is great but in my opinion it would be so much better if we could hear the actual voices of them
i know that you didn't have a proper setup but i tell this for future projects :)
but still a very very good idea! and a good video, as usual
introducing to your audience some indie games is very cool and even helpful both for developers and gamers to expand their "boundaries" in games
I totally agree! Hopefully I can do more traditional interviews in the future!
They had an interview on twitch like 2 days ago lol want the link?
@@ThatGuyGlen want a link?
@@xXRedLustXx sure
Omg this game looks amazing and the interview is just as amazing keep it up :D
Much appreciated!
@@ThatGuyGlen no problem you deserve all the success and more :D
The new format actually worked really well, great video!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
You still have that loving touch to the video format. I know I've said it before, but the effort you put into the feel of your videos is so beautiful. I haven't even heard of this game before, but I knew the video would be enjoyable regardless.
Thank you so much! This video originally was going to have a much more simple presentation because of a lack of art assets, not to mention not having access to the game, but once I started editing I couldn't help but spice it up a bit :P
I would love to see some more interviews with indie devs
I laughed hard at the concept of a grandma predicting the weather.
It's a common cultural thing, stating that you know an elder family member who uses their bones to know when it rains
This channel deserves far more success, keep the awesome work!
Will do!
A farming sim set in the stone age? I'm hooked already
i can not wait to play this game, it looks absolutely amazing!
The fact that you could play this co-op from the get go definitely gives me a reason to keep tabs on this game.
Somehow, the clan and ideas system reminds me of Spore.
Edit: I also love this new twist to your content. It gives me more insight about the game since we get to know the thought process behind it. Not to mention, it adds a lot to the decision of whether or not I will play (and recommend it to friends) when it gets released. Good job!
My pleasure, glad to hear you liked it! It was definitely cool to interact with developers for the first time and get information straight from the source :D
This... really looks interesting. Might I suggest, maybe.... if you want to, you can make this a series. Interviewing developers interesting kickstarter campaigns.
I'm always happy for arcade farming sims
While farming sims aren’t my thing, this looks interest, I might get it when it comes out
I cant wait to play this game.
Great video. I like this style of interview better. I want to hear more of your voice. One suggestion, instead of doing a Q&A style you can covert it into an article.
I really like this new concept.
Glad to hear it!
Darn. We should really have a combat system. In times like these, you had to fight daily for not becoming someone's dinner.
You, my guy, Make Quality content. It's not good, it's AMAZING.
Keep this up! :D
Much appreciated! And will do :D
Yoooo new video!
Man, this game looks spectacular 🙌
Awesome dude
I really hope to see hunting and combat added. Otherwise this looks perfect.
Harvest Moon game influence is so amazing :'))
The way they gather the team is like how every anime character make their gang and it make me jealous somehow. But the project is every interesting so no wonder, even i if got an invite like that will instant accept too. Hope it won't took years in early access and can't get to any where like most game sparked with high expect too early.
I’m from Chile too
Cool
YOOOO THIS IS DOPE!! I love it!!
Glad to hear it!
WOW what a lovely game
As a Peruvian, I'm rooting for this game.
Como argentino quiero ver que pachara con este juego
Love it so far hope you can continue to play like harvest moon games when will this be out on switch hope they add more to the game
Can you review How "There Is No Game"? It's so cool.
I really liked this video also! xD
Glad to hear it :D
are they developing it from scratch or are they using a game engine/framework?
i love this story of brothers :D
did you hear about Coral Island?
Maybe can you a game called please don’t touch anything, while it is not the biggest game it was played by a few big youtubers and had a vr version
Chile :3
This game sure interesting, i hope it's not like grave yard keeper
South América!
Hey, can you make fnaf how it was made?
More Stardew Valley 😳😳
I'll buy this please take my money 😍😍😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I like the idea of a stone age harvest moon game, but the art direction they chose for it looks very bad, especially the humans. And the animations lack personality. It also looks like it might have a procedurally generated world map, and if it does then I'm definitely not buying it. I'd much prefer a finely crafted environment packed with secrets
