The coolest thing I know about my family is that my great uncle on my Dad's side was friends with Steven King! Basically, my uncle worked as a manager at the university of Maine's swim team. Steven King's wife was a huge benefactor to UMaine, so Steven King would be at alumnae events and that's how my uncle and him met. According to him, Steven is super funny and nice in person. Turns out, the woods and property in the original Pet Cemetery adaptation where filmed on/right by my uncle's property!! ....😱😱
Whats amazing about king is he puts the psychological and characters first then combines supernatural with horror and even some scifi. Gotta be the best writer and story teller of all time even if his topics and darkness isnt your cup of tea! 👍👍
CONFUSED BREAKFAST!!!!! If anybody else needs a reason to check out the confused breakfast, Bert Kreischer became such a fan of their podcast that he was on an episode and they did Caddy shack. Their podcast is very hilarious.
Love me some Steven king novels 11/22/63 is probably my favorite non horror book and completely agree the dark tower was such a letdown that could have been a rated r mega franchise if they didn't consolidate elements of 3 of the 7 books into an hour and a half movie
You guys have a pretty good forum but sheesh, not even really any tribute to the og IT series besides a slight mention? Let's be honest, big budget mini series is now the mainstream and IT was the og with curry, Ritter and Jonathan brandis!? To be a film critic is to admit when something paved the way even if you don't like it subjectively!
y’all should definitely check out Silver Bullet (1985), it’s based on his novelette ‘Cycle of the Werewolf’. A really fun and campy 80s werewolf movie, Stephen King also wrote the screenplay.
Hard to pick a favourite for me - The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption and Misery would probably be my top 3. Only read 5 King novlels? Unsubscribed. Croquet btw.
The Shining is my favourite. Thanks for the video, it's fitting for the Halloween mood!
