I forgot to say in the Description under the video that the original cushions were from Pennys (Irish department store) and Ikea, and the row of birds on a branch was part of the original design. They're pretty old cushions, so don't go out looking to buy them, as I think fashions in cushions on the high street may have moved on since then (hopefully upcycling will always remain trendy)!

Another lacemaking mini-project up next, folks. I know I promised you, before my cushions sprang more rips.

The cushions both turned out so well! Great work. I really like the mix and match of the patches on the front verses the patches on the back.

Thank you. It's an evolving piece, 'cos it keeps getting more holes to patch.

I find the invisible baste very meditative. And I love the tiny dots on the front. 💖💖💖

Yeah, it's such a lovely stitch to do, so easy, and holds things down so well that you can get rid of the pins early on, and I've used it a lot since learning it just recently. I hate the feel of pins in work. Mind you, I just got some teeny little dressmaker's pins, and they aren't as bad. I agree with you about the tiny dots; it does something cool to how fabric looks.
