make a more afford able trad bow for beginners or youth. I love hoyt bows in fact I am the proud owner of a hoyt ignite which performs extremely well. Me and others want a hoyt trad bow that's affordable and at a good price so people with a not so good budget such as myself can enjoy hoyts amazing quality with a good cheapish bow. when I say cheap I mean the bow coming around 200-300 dollars bare bow and like the ignite have a kit that comes with it if you pay more for it

Agreed the excel was a great budget bow that was a tack driver. They discontinued it sadly. The newer stuff im not crazy about the price or the look.

Would the addition if puffs, or anything else added to the string/limbs change the brace height?
Should I listen, and adjust the string before, or after adding quieteners?
    Thanks.

I know this is a year out from your comment, but I adjust the brace height before I put on any string silencers. That way your bow is as quiet as possible before you make it even quieter.

Given that the markings on my bow square are in one-eighth increments, I'd say four eighths makes more sense that one half.
