I never could have Imagined that watching someone repair a stone wall would be so enjoyable. We are all rooting for you Terry, cheering you on, every stone you replace, every JUST job you find to do. You make us all proud to be part of your family’s journey 💗
Your mother is such a blessing to you. Never have I seen a woman who works as hard as she does. Gate and wall are looking great. Also it was nice seeing Jonathan again if only in snippets. Hope he's doing well.😊
A summer in the French countryside with the scent of lavender in the evening and happy voices all around you, I guess it makes all the hard labour worth your effort. It's clear that you are all very caring people and somehow your sense of honesty shines through too. You have already achieved so much to protect the chateau. Obviously, your project means much more to you than just a faithful restoration, it's seems like a genuine rebirth. Bit by bit you are finding all the scattered pieces of history, eventually their purposes and significance will be revealed. Bonne chance.
Terry, you have turned into quite the stonemason!! This fence and gate will look amazing once done. Great idea for keeping this area a family entrance. I like that the fact that there appears to be a lot of shade there too. Well done you two!!
Fantastic job. You can turn your hand to anything you do there. Please take care with your decor - try not to make it to English as it will not suit the style of the French Chauteu.
Honestly you are all brilliant! If you had just shown the wall finished I would have thought it had always been there. I would be surprised if you hadn't been approached by other people to give them lessons on how to repair their walls. What a hard working family you are and I take my sun hat off to you. Well done once again. It was lovely to see Johnathon helping out too. He is learning so much from you all. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 ❤
Terry, you and your Mum have become so proficient with stone walls, absolutely amazing!! God bless you and the whole family. ❤❤❤ Chuck in Northern New England
Love watching your channel! You all work hard and actually use your Patreon money to improve the chateau instead of traveling and buying crap constantly. A renovation channel that actually does renovations. Makes me so happy to see these older properties come back to life and the artistry involved not be lost to nature like so many others in France. Well done, and much respect!
In addition, the octagon stone suggests that it was used in a more prominent or visible location near the chateau. Granite is very difficult to cut and would be expensive even then. The other plainer stones suggest somewhere less visible.
I can't get over how quickly the wall was repaired; looks fantastic! Another job done. Well done done Terry and Tracy!!! You two are quite the team!!!❤😊
The service entrance has been transformed! Your time and effort in restoring this part of the chateau has been well spent! Your family spirit in this chateau rebuild is nothing short of amazing and inspiring! Keep up the incredible work - I love watching your vlogs and look forward to seeing each update.
Hi everyone, What’s not to love about this video. I can honestly say,i have enjoyed every minute of it,from start to finish! What with the beautiful views of the countryside, the birds whistling, wonderful music & the hard work & effort everyone put into rebuilding the stone walls ,is absolutely heart warming❤ Take care lots of love 🥰💕
I am part of your chateau journey!!! 🥰🎶❤️ The gardens look gorgeous!!! The Chateau looks brilliant in its sparkling white suit!!! You folks are AMAZING--all that you have accomplished on the family pland friends plan!!! 🥰🎶❤️😎🦋🦋🦋🇨🇦 Such incredible work ethics you all have!!! 🥰🎶🌻🦋🇨🇦Incredible progress!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Just Terry That Wall is Amazing, Your Mum and Ash are Incredible Not Forgetting Jonathan 👌👍, And Special Patrick, Love ❤️ Finding the Stones, Perfect 👌 For the Walled Garden , You Have Such Superb Outlook 👌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Although this task was further down the To-DO list it's another beast of a project you've put a big ✔ next to and looks fantastic! Hey folks if you love watching the Chateau de Lalacelle group as much as we do, take a sec to hit the Subscribe button so you don't miss any of the amazing projects that are bringing this lovely Chateau back to life, one reno at a time - it's free and just takes a sec! Not affiliated just an ardent admirer of this authentic, hard-working group!
Oh my goodness, the wall is looking absolutely amazing, well done all ,on your hard work & Jonathan helping fill the truck with branches, good lad 👏👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🤩
What ever they were, the found stones will make a small ‘Greek ruin‘ in the midst of Tracy’s rockery and be great accents for the herbs and succulents you’ve planted. The wall looks marvelous. You have become true masons - next skillset will be cutting stone.
Hello Darlings I missed your show yesterday 😢 But I fully Enjoyed watching yo working hard Progress is so obvious now Love it! Lots of to you all And always always the babies🐶❤
I would use the taller stone you found for the base of a sun dial for the formal garden. They were once very popular at old estates, just a suggestion. The repaired wall looks wonderful!
Cliffhanger ! Bravo to all . cannot wait. Your Mother deserves a Cape as well as a Day at a Fabulous Spa. That Rooster ! That Rooster !That Rooster! Love from Canada
Terry, the hex stone you have found, I think may be a end pillar stone at the end of a stone garden staircase. I was watching some else's vlog last night, and this is what prompted me. You are all doing a greatcjob rebuilding the gateway/wall ❤
I am very curious how the iron fence that's damaged as though something ran into it , can be straightened out. I love rocks , so I love watching you and your mom , rebuild the tumbled down rock walls ! They look wonderful when they are finished. They are a sort of picture frame around the gorgeous main structure . I love the rockery ! The entire property is magnificent and would have crumbled into oblivion if your family had not had a great vision for restoration. Posterity salutes your dedication.
Another job is nearly completed and is looking fantastic. These crumbling walls remind me of Sisyphus in Greek mythology. Every time he rolled a huge boulder up a hill, it came back down. Every time you repair one wall, another wall 🧱 is found crumbling and needs repairing. Soon, you will be creating your own legends ✨️ 💜 Great work as always! 🧱 🌚🌞
I need to stop right this minute and tell you how much I am enjoying the background music over the last week or so!!! Truly wonderful and a great change !!! Thank you !
crazy how much you have accomplished in just a couple of years. everything starts to look really wonderful and it's easier to imagine what the place will be when finished. I started following you before the first episode and I can't wait for the place to be "done". thank you for giving other people the opportunity to be involved in your life. times are hard and full of lies. provides a nice balance and honesty as a counterbalance.
Terry, the birdsong is louder than your mic:) It's so beautiful to hear along with the roosters. When I see you and your family working week after week with such faith and tenacity, it warms our hearts! Did I see Ash's dad in the beginning of the video?
Terry, watching you maneuvering those heavy stones for the wall around- it would be easier on your lower back to wear one of those lumbar suppporting belts. Furniture movers and lots of labourers wear them and they are comfortable. Just a thought to prevent an injury…❤
I love the sound of all the songbirds when your in the gardens around the Château. We have so few now in Cardiff, UK. You should all be proud of yourselves for your dedication and perseverance in the restoration process. I get great pleasure in watching your channel. Keep up the good work.
What expert stonemasons you and your mum are turning into Terry! My Great Grandfather was a stonemason too and although you don’t have to do too much shaping of the stone, your talent lies in placement of each stone. Well done, the wall looks amazing.👏🥰
Those shaped stones could be used as the support for a stone bench seat and the stone with the spike in it could be used as a plinth for a statue. The wall looks amazing...you are very talented at building stone walls!
Just binge watched yr last 10 episodes again while it rains outside, wow you’ve come a long way, how exciting to finally see the outside starting to show her beauty, I’m itching to scrape that roof 😂. Have you considered sandblasting the stone wall, wood, steel, comes up a treat.
Maybe your stone’s where part of a ornamental garden, as the square one with the groove in the side in which you have put the bubble fountain is a bird Bath. The walls look great.👏
Well done you two! The gate posts and fence look amazing! And what a gain, with a new entry and car park. So useful. Terry, you should be so proud of your work. You are making your mark on the Chateau with your stone work. The Chateau is coming back to its glory due to your family all taking it on. I hope you gain as much pleasure in your accomplishments as I do watching your videos. I’m happy to contribute in some small way to the Chateau restoration. 👏🏻👏🏻🥰🥰
It would be fascinating to see what your viewers say about those large stones. It can be amazing to see the level of obscure expertise that people have who watch these channels.
Your whole family is incredibly hard working, including Jonathan and Lord Patrick 。 Terry's eye for the rebuilding the wall and gate is fantastic, you can't even tell they were damaged before 。 Ash will we get another cooking video soonish ? Live Long and Prosper 🖖
Amazing! As always you are talented in restoring this beautiful home. I am so glad you decided to fix the post rather than leave it or just patch it up. Blessings to you all.
Thanks for the great video, Terry. Nice to see the progress on the stone wall. Hopefully there's an Ash sighting soon! Maybe he's on strike, or spending all of his time at brocantes with Adrian & Carole?
Restoring the wall is a mammoth task! Only from watching you do it I get exhausted. It is getting really beautiful the work. You are very talented and do everything with love. One more project almost done❤
Terry, I’m always “just” so impressed with your fearless ability to “just” tackle any skill. I wish I had half the confidence to “just” try without fear of failure. It’s a great lesson for all of us. I so admire the whole of the family’s ability to “just” do it! Happy Pride month to you and Ash and the entire clan. 🏳️🌈 ❤ Dan in Houston, Texas 🏳️🌈 🎉
Awesome job Terry, your workmanship is awesome, the wall looks amazing ... Tracey gouve also done wonderful work help Terry, thank goodness for the nice neighbour 😊
Such a shame that old pictures don't exist to help you piece together what those stones were used for. Im sure you will find a great use for them. Wall looks fantastic! My dad (mason) would have been impressed. RIP.
The amount of stone walls you have on your property is massive. Terry and Tracy with the help of Ash and Jonathan have restored miles of stone work. So extremely impressive, and the finished results are stunning!! I can see that entrance looking so beautiful with some flowering plants. It is a beautiful entrance and looks good now. You two are quite a team, Mom and son. The pin looks like the base of a vase of granite. Perhaps the two octagonal stones are underneath those. If you can rummage to the vineyards or antique store, you might find a couple of stunning vases to put on top, filled with flowering plants.
I love that you just keep plowing forward. You tick one more item off the list and move on. The wall is looking great. I can't wait to see what color you choose to paint the gate. With your attention to detail, it really will be a show place again. BTW... What's going on with the plan for the walled garden? I seem to recall mention of laying out the parterre pathways. Ok now…Terry, you do stone work like you’ve done it a million times before! Have you??? I swear you were born for this.❤
Your mother is such a blessing to you. Never have I seen a woman who works as hard as she does. Gate and wall are looking great. Also it was nice seeing Jonathan again if only in snippets. Hope he's doing well.😊

very well said 😊
Beautifully said
The filming and music is so well done it really makes rebuilding a wall fascinating. It’s like watching bye-gone days come to life.
Terry, you have turned into quite the stonemason!! This fence and gate will look amazing once done. Great idea for keeping this area a family entrance. I like that the fact that there appears to be a lot of shade there too. Well done you two!!
He really has! They have done an amazing job 😊😊
Terry you have a marvellous eye to make a stone wall a thing of beauty. I am in awe.
The gatepost and wall are looking fantastic. You are truly mastering the art.
Fantastic job. You can turn your hand to anything you do there. Please take care with your decor - try not to make it to English as it will not suit the style of the French Chauteu.
@deirdregahansuttle5698 My thoughts also in regard to the decor.
I love how chill you folks are about unexpected massive jobs.

I could 'easily' guess who you may be insinuating : )
Your octagon stone and the other stone could have been foot pillars for bigger vertical timbers holding up a cross beam on the entrance to a barn etc.
They definitely look like pillar bases.

Tracy’s rock garden looks beautiful 😊🥇🌼🌻🌹🇺🇸
You guys have become experts at rebuilding stone walls. ❤

I would use the taller stone you found for the base of a sun dial for the formal garden. They were once very popular at old estates, just a suggestion. The repaired wall looks wonderful!

Terry ,you should smile ,real stonemason ,👍
I can tell this is back breaking work but you all tackle it with enthusiasm and pride! Well done. Looks magnificent! ❤️

Out of all the restore Chateau channels, you are ALWAYS choosing the best background music. Not sure who's editing your video's but WELL DONE.
Such a great job...boy that was exciting lifting those huge stones.. just amazing to watch the transformation.
Terry, the birdsong is louder than your mic:) It's so beautiful to hear along with the roosters. When I see you and your family working week after week with such faith and tenacity, it warms our hearts! Did I see Ash's dad in the beginning of the video?
I love to hear the roosters too. Where I live we can only have hens which do provide joy in the garden as well as eggs.
Terry, watching you maneuvering those heavy stones for the wall around- it would be easier on your lower back to wear one of those lumbar suppporting belts. Furniture movers and lots of labourers wear them and they are comfortable. Just a thought to prevent an injury…❤

Love, love hearing all the birds in the background. Incredible, the variety you have.
No lesser humans could have saved this chateau, you guys are such hard workers. It is looking amazing.
Thanks Sindy 😊
Looking great, I really love hearing the birds happily chirping in the background.👏👏👌👍👍👊❤❤
Brilliant congratulations on the wall repair the stones are very interesting 👍🤗🤗👍💐🍻🍻

Terry your stone work is fantastic such an excellent job between you and your mum there is nothing that stands in your way well done
Outstanding work on the stone wall, just think you won’t need to do that again, I bet the neighbors will appreciate looking at the wall now . 🐨🥰
Another wall crossed off that’s Brilliant! Look forward to the gates
What a mind game deciding what stone goes where and the. Why and wherefore … not a job for me .. well done Terry
Well done you two! The gate posts and fence look amazing! And what a gain, with a new entry and car park. So useful.

I don’t know how you all do this, day after day, week after week. Labour of love, I guess. Well done.
My favorite RUclips ever, you make me belive dreams come true with hard work ❤❤❤
Lovely job. Getting the huge top stone on was brilliant. Now you will be itching to get the gates cleaned and painted! Every job leads to another job.
A beautiful job on the wall Terry ,well done .
You never ever leave a little bit undone Terry - its very therapeutic to watch 🌈 amazing to see the results 🎉 🌟 fence looks amazing 👍😍

He’s become a master! They have both done amazing with this! 😊😊
Brilliant job, Terry.
Everything is so beautiful … well done family!
Your doing a great job. I don’t know how you’ve all managed to get all that work done in such a relatively short time Massive respect ❤
Thanks Pauline 😊
Well another of the dreaded jobs sorted and lovely. And another place to plant bulbs or flowers along wall.
It pays to be meticulous with all your hard work!! Good job!
I was thinking the same thing, those octagon stones would look nice in the walled garden with a statue on it.❤
Amazing! As always you are talented in restoring this beautiful home. I am so glad you decided to fix the post rather than leave it or just patch it up. Blessings to you all.

I hope you will complete this job by painting the gate black, it would look amazing and stop the rust.
Just remarkable what all of you can do. 🍁🍁🍁
Week after week you all astonish me with what you accomplish! Very, very inspiring! ❤
Amazing job! It will look wonderful with some beautiful low shrubs on either side ❤❤❤❤
The wall looks amazing, you all work so hard and so well together,
Ready to see the gate going on 🙌🙌
You gotta love the intrigue of this stone puzzle!
The gate post and wall look fantastic a huge improvement and now you will be able to use the entrance.
Terry, you’re simply amazing. And after this wall is finished you’re going to have the biceps of Hercules! 😂💪🏻
Awesome job Terry, your workmanship is awesome, the wall looks amazing ... Tracey gouve also done wonderful work help Terry, thank goodness for the nice neighbour 😊
Wow! The wall looks fantastic!!😍Even without the capping stones. I love the new stones you found, so interesting, the drone shots are lovely.
Thank you Sonia 😊😊
Yes, love the drone shots!
The longer you wait, the more time weeds have to reinvade the space. Will you install a drip irrigation system?
Love to you all!❤❤❤❤❤
Wall is looking great. I'm hoping you filled all the voids well with mortar. The joints all look good from the outside. I know you had to mix a LOT of mortar for this project and I hope you didn't skimp anywhere. Best of luck with all the hard work you have ahead of you.
Bet you’re brilliant at jig saw puzzles Terry!
