    I'm with you on everything except for red meat. Grass fed steaks and burgers are actually very good for you. A steak and a salad is a great meal.

    Bacon for breakfast,lunch meat for lunch , soda , fried food for dinner , cereal for snack .
    Cigar and beer before bed . Need to change a few .

    Nothing wrong with red meat (particularly grass fed) and bacon (uncured). Focus on whole foods. Avoid processed seed oils, abundant starches, sugary sodas, fruit juices, and food items with multi-ingredients. And absolutely stay away from sugar and fructose, except on Christmas and your birthday, and maybe Halloween. Remember, it's not what you eat in a day. It's what you eat every day that matters.

      Disagree?Red meat can be full of antibiotics plus other junk.which affects your precious microbiome (which in turn affects your overall health) Many studies show👍.It also sits in your colon giving out chemicals which are known to cause cancer's 😲
      Gave it up years ago getting protein from plants etc.
      Don't miss the smell or taste one bit!
      Plus cows polute our atmosphere with their methane gas farting!
      Not a fan anymore'
      86 yrs no medications or illnesses (So far)🙏🇦🇺🥰

      I'm not sure how much to buy into this video. What I mean is that there are teens these days who are morbidly obese and why? Because they eat too much of all the categories he just mentioned. The real problem is that all people everywhere eat TOO MUCH of them and not nearly enough non-starch vegetables and fruit, but then in addition to that, society has conditioned people to think that when you are young, you should sleep to your fill and play football and join the marines, but when you're middle aged, it's no longer socially acceptable to be athletic as though you are regressing to your childhood or refusing to acknowledge your age with dignity. i'm in my 40s hitting the gym and it amazes me how quickly the results are coming, losing 4-5 lbs./week and stacking on plates in the gym, just as rapidly as when i was in my early 20s! So if you defy the social trend and lift weights and do cardio then I think your body's efficiency at burning calories is at least partially restored so that you can afford to have SOME of those snacks and meats and give yourself some cheat meals, but also keep in mind that there is an obesity epidemic at all ages because from the day you are born you're not supposed to eat so much fat and sugar like people are doing today. So you can realistically think of dietary changes as not you being excluded from the fun but rather you eating what we're all supposed to be eating from day 1 of our entrance into the world.

      I'm 60, stopped drinking alcohol 2 weeks ago, I've cut out processed sugars and am also down the gym again. Waiting for the results 😁

    I'm 55 now and stopped drinking soda (and eating sweets in general) after drinking and eating them for 40 years ... STRAIGHT !!! .... as a result , my knees have stopped hurting and my mobility is coming back. All the yucky sounding cracking in my joints have stopped. And i just PHYSICALLY feel so much better now. And on BOOZE, that was a NO BRAINER , after a night of drinking, it got to the point where i wouldn't feel right for like 4 days AFTER. I'd feel "Dried Out" and Tired. I'M GOOD NOW, started working out again ,but now i have to lose this "SPARE TIRE" from all those years of Partying 🍕🍟🍔🥓🍗🍖🍤🍦🍩🍰🍨🍧🍻🍻🍻🍾🍾🍾🍫😲

    Agree with all except for one. My grandmother lived to 105 and had a glass of red (only red) wine every night of her adult life. NOT A BOTTLE - 1 glass less than 8 ounces.

    Avoid cookie's at all costs . Its rubbish . Just a bit of wheat with loads sugar and preservatives .If you desire something sweet Plain chocolate is a better alternative .

    I think a person’s gender and genetics make a huge difference as well. My uncle is in his 60s. He’s never been overweight, rarely goes to a doctor and has always eaten like a trash panda. My mom (his sister) who is also in her 60s, has always had a difficult time keeping her weight under control and has severe health issues even though she follows a mostly healthy diet. My uncle and my mom may share the same parents and are just 17 months apart in age but the way their bodies metabolize food is extremely different.

    Don't drink but eat many of these food items, still run cross country and do weights three days a week, am 62, 5' 7 & 140 lbs, everything in moderation, people think they can eat themselves fit instead of getting some workouts under their belt

    Thanks for telling me I'm on the right track. I've been avoiding these ten things for years. I haven't ate red meat in 15 years. Don't eat deserts. Most of them contain eggs and I'm allergic to eggs. I do drink wine occasionally. Every few months.

    Since I have cut out excessive spicy pickled eggs, onion dip, sweet potatos and other gas producing food and snacks, I am much better and my wife is happy to go out in public with me now.

    I boil or soak processed meats which removes most of the salt. Without doing that I am unable to tolerate the gross taste of of salt.

    A lot you suggested involves sodium(salts), but what do you suggest when you eat a lot of salt, but you still suffer from extremely low sodium. Every blood work I have done comes back with me having extremely low sodium levels?

    I am now 88 and I nolonger eat meat or fish, I live on Bananas and orages, with some oats and plenty of full cream milk, Some years back I made and ate a lot of "jerky?biltong this gave me gout in one of my big toes - I never again had any trouble since stopping meat. I try to keep my weight below 73kg I am 1;8m tall = 6foot.

    I am 66😮 Just had my physical. heart strong no high blood pressure. brains intact. I didn't need junk when I was young. I drank cokes. But now at my age I eat everything. But I don't eat a lot of it. I'll go out to dinner and eat half my dinner. But I love my beer. So it time for me to go it's time for me to go. I eat what it says on the back of everything. If it says 5 chips. Or I love red and black liquish. It says 2. Cokes I have the little can now a day. Or maybe I'm just lucky. My mom's 86. does not have a problem. But she did give up red meat. Thanks for listening.😅 But I but I also take every vitamin out there. And now you're talking about my husband. He's sixty six. He loves junk food. he craves junk food. And he's good. But I watch Everything he needs.

    No, don't just say "so after 50, stop eating." Instead, do what you should have been doing the first 50: stay out of those damned inner aisles of the supermarket and just shop the perimeter.

    I must be an alien because I still all but transfat,6 ft 172 pounds exercise and just had my blood come back clean as a whistle. It's about,eating in moderation with some these foods. Or I'm just lucky
