Absolutely phenomenal content
Thank you Ryan! 😀 🙌
Hey, great vid like always!
But should you include the names of your competitors with their prices on your page or not?
I’m struggling with my pricing. I have a huge competitor that always buys the top Google ads. They advertise as a much lower cost but don’t include most of what people need. It’s like selling a new car for $5,000 then charging them for “add ons” like brakes, a steering wheel and an engine. I explain it on my home page, but people still see our higher prices. My clients haven’t hired a band before. They take advantage of this fact and play games, while I’m the overpriced honest guy who tells them the truth by including what they REALLY need.
David you gotta give the people what they want, not what you think they want.
@@iLikeMyOwnPosts So lie to them so I can compete with the other company? Don’t they want honest reality based info? I would think that’s what they would want.
Hey old friend! If you're not the cheapest, THAT can be a good thing too. Not everyone's budget shopping, right? Just lay it out on your pricing page, and really hit on the fact that they get a BETTER experience with you, and why. Hope you're doing well!
What is your URL and the competitors?
Market it as a “FULL PACKAGE DEAL”!!!
Wes, that was a terrific.I have clients who are afraid of showing prices, so we're gong to run some A/B PPC to get some data, and on a few local SEO pages. I think ALL clients need to understand that we now live in an "Amazon" and an Ecommerce world where price is prevalent. Even if your business is a bospoke supplier like a plumber, decorator or fixing a wardrobe, people need an idea f pricing and I believe giving them that, will lead to less time wasters and higher appointment / sales conversion rates
So true Ken! Pricing is very important and helpful to see 👍
I wonder how to make this work for a florist ... with luxe, expensive flowers...............
I'd probably just figure out average pricing for the same type of bouquet from a number of places in your area.
Very smart idea, if the company has competitive pricing (most of my clients charge on the higher end). I do see two potential downsides: it would be a pain to maintain the page when competitors' pricing changes. But more importantly, I know most of my clients would not want to do this, because they would likely piss off their competitors. That being said, I really appreciate the video. You definitely got me thinking.
excellent tips!
Glad you like them! 😊👍
学习到了 🎉
This is so confusing. I am reading and watching all this SEO content and don't understand. What if you aren't in a creative occupation and don't blog?
First viewer! Always enjoy your insights!
Thanks David!
Your perspective is so unique - I love seeing things from a different angle.
I appreciate that! Thanks! 👍
Yeah, Wes, this video delivered, above and beyond. I also follow Merino. He's thorough.
Thanks Jay! 😀 👏
My question is a practical one. As an SEO person how would you price a page done like this considering the additional research needed, the data analysis, and the ongoing FAQ updates.
You are so on-the-money with your question. I'm going to get my data via PPC. Re the FAQ's I've noticed Google Search Console is flagging up "Duplicate FAQs" (I have an FAQ on each page). I found the workaround was not to put the Q/A in the normal accordion widget. I leave it as regular text with a link to a mega FAQ page. Hope this helps.
Hey @WesMcDowellInc, I love your content and just came across this video. Although this video is 36 months old, the 2 websites no longer post their prices as shown in your video. Have things changed SEO-wise in regards to displaying pricing? Or did it make better sense to hide pricing (request quote) for conversions? Thanks!!
No idea Joshua, I havent really kept up with them. Lots of businesses change their websites every couple years.
Remember the original Miracle on 34th Street? Granted, it's a movie, but the idea works.
Make it easy for your customers, and you'll be their first choice.
Admit it. If you deal with a business and they're not open about ANYTHING, you develop mistrust.
If you think that approach works for you, you're fooling yourself.
I went to the implant center of Miami website, and I didn’t see the page with price comparison. Do they still have it or did they remove it already?
I couldn’t tell you yaneck, no idea. sorry!
@@WesMcDowellInc I was looking for an example on the price comparison that you were discussing. Do you know any business that has done it on their web site? Do you do it using names of other businesses? I like the concept but I’m not sure how to best execute it
Hi, Wes, Thank you for the helpful tips. I don't quite understand it. Adding your competitor's pricing on your website is kind of promoting traffic to their websites. How would this help you acquire users if you have similar pricing strategies. Another question is I am offering a new software service which I can't directly name my competitors. Could I compare my product to other old-fashion human services' pricing?
Hello Wes and a big thank you for swinging education our way, I was wondering you you would name the competitors when displaying the results?
How could you apply this idea to an e-commerce store with a lot of products?
You are great, a huge amount of value from you thanks from the bottom of my heart
Happy to help!
This is great. Thanks, Wes!
My pleasure peter! Cheers! 🙌
wild
deff gonna give this a shot
How about just making up prices? How will Google bot or visitors know that the prices are accurate?
Why would you make up prices? Don't do that.
Hello, do you have a tip how I could create a similar page if I do not have very many compenitors as it is a very niche product?🙂
Hey Julia, in that case, you can only talk about your own pricing, and possibly the pricing of a more popular and well known alternative to what your product is?
Hey I've trying to get your free training course that you've added in description. But I've not get an email. Plz check if everything correct
did you check spam folder?
@@WesMcDowellInc yes.. nothing there
if you want to drop your email here - I can check on that or try with another email address. If you ever unsubscribed from my emails in the past, that would be why you are not receiving it 😕
Theres some AI that can write the whole content of this video?
Wes , your a BAD ASS!
Ha thanks for confirming what I always suspected!
More great content but doesn't your video contradict itself? The touted SEO hack is listing your pricing along with your competitors' pricing. However, Ruan then gives an example of CT Moving and Storage (and how to properly format pricing) which has a website that does not list its competitors' pricing along with its own. If this is such an important and effective SEO hack, why isn't it implimented on the CT Moving and Storage website?
There are many ways to do it Pete. These are all just ideas you can either use or not. Cheers!
Great video as usual. What do think about listing the names of the competitors? Or, maybe the city they are in?
I feel like prices from random companies wont’t hold as much value without some ‘realness’ to them.
Hey Rich, that would be up to you... I do agree it lends authenticity, and as long as you're reporting accurately I don't see any harm in doing that... though those businesses may not like it very much, so it might lead to some bad feelings. I'd just be willing to take them down or make them anonymous if they ask you to. Cheers1
