- Super Mario Odyssey has quite a lot of funny idle animations and I'm going to show you the best idle animations in the game. They even remade the Idle Animation back from Super Mario 64 where he sleeps and dreams of pasta with an extra feature which is slight bit different depending where you are. Lots of these animations are fun little Easter Eggs they slipped into this game and all you have to do is put down your controller... I called this series back then "Let's do nothing in video games" I do wish Mario's Capture Transformations had an idle animation though.

You know what I like about this game? It gives Mario good expressions, making him have an interesting character trait

KERNOS FIRUKO He was always expressive in his games, but definitely not as much as in this game, though.
I think this is the most expressive he's been in the entire series. A lot of detail went into this game.
DreadYoshi02 That's true. He was expressive in other games, but he was mostly happy-go-lucky all the time and always expressing that optimistic nature he has. But I do agree that this is probably the most expressive I've seen Mario. He makes silly poses and dances, he shivers when cold, and his light blue eyes also express so much too. There is so much detail that's been into this game! Same with Luigi, he was the most expressive in Luigi's Mansion as you could feel his fear and terror as he took on ghosts by the facial expressions he makes, and Link in Breath of the Wild was very expressive as well, and also had dialogue options to show that he can be a snarky goofball to the people he talks to. Speaking of Dialogue options, I hope Mario has a lot of those in this game as well.

There is an idle animation mario does when he is above something buried in the groud. He will kick the ground with his foot to hint that something is there. You should include that one too.
Mario is lucky that none of the birds that landed on him pooped on him.

Sleeping in the middle of the road? That seems like a great idea! It's not like other drivers are going to hit you or anything. Not like you're going to make those who have to work that day show up late and then they get bitched at by the boss man. And the best part is, you sure as hell ain't gonna have people cussing at you telling you to get your ass up! Don't worry, none of that shit's gonna happen! Just pick a good lane or crosswalk to take your nap in and you're good. And if you want the best sleep of your life just go to sleep on I-95, the interstate where people are driving at least 70 miles per hour or more! It's totally safe!

Imagine sleeping in the Lake Kingdom, the Wooded Kingdom, and the Cloud Kingdom. Between the Lake and the Wooded Kingdom, you have the peaceful sounds of running water, and waves lightly crashing. However, in Cloud Kingdom, it may just be sleeping on a cloud. All of these settings seem so peaceful.
