How the hell is Erik getting some of those shots, like the one near beginning with sun shining through sails, from underneath?! He's a wizard. And I love this combination of John and Kai, hope they do more together. They are a really good fit for collaborating. Favorite line " did we tighten that one?" As they sail out 😅
This is one of the best sailing films out there. Accurately shows the realities of a high performance foiling boat, the thrills of foiling, and the learning curve. Also incredibly cinematic.

Yeah I got old and started sailing and it's kinda a similar feel. Being at one with the boat and the wind and when it just picks up and goes it's a great feeling. I think it's just being at one with nature and working with something you can't control. Great vid.

When the Nacra Carbon Full Foiling Catamaran first came to California I got to join a group where everyone was a least a National Champion, and spend the day. So frick’n cool!

John John come to New Zealand for the America Cup and you will see us Kiwi's fly on our foil yachts. I am lucky to see Team NZ boats out on the water most days and its sight to be seen 75 ft foiling monohulls. Kiwi's pioneering some of the best innovative technologies ... who else would bring pedal power to a yacht race!
It's films like these that need to be submitted to Banff Mountain Film Festival. They need to get inundated with all these awesome sail adventure videos!
