If it is a risk for the family, the spouse suffering abuse can talk to a priest to see a better way to deal with the situation. In some cases, the spouses must be separeted for some time. Whilst this happens, the other one must pray so they can live normaly again. Sometimes, concerning infidelities, the spouses also must be separeted. To preserve the honor of the family. You ought to remember that when a couple gets married, God Himself unite the two of them. So, no man can ever separate their “contract”. Even if they divorce, it will be only on paper. Because to the eyes of God, and angels and saints, they are still married and in sin. Hope this helps!
I left the RCC recently because the RCC tells me my marriage isnt valid or sacramental but they have the audacity to say protestamt marriages are. The reason is because we were JWs when we got married but then i left the JWs and became Catholic but my wife refuses to get the marriage blessed so i cant receive Eucharist until that happened. Im High Church Conservative Anglican now, and our marriage is recognized as sacramnetal and valid, rightfully so.
Audacity? Church is telling you that out of charity. Who cares if some other church tells you what you want to hear. And you're a liar since the church did not ban you from the Eucharist, it would have told you to live brother/sister and you can receive. I'm celibate 3 years waiting on my wife to get it blessed stop your wining. You didn't listen to any part of this sermon, troll
I will be praying for your conversion to the Catholic Church! Also for your wife, so that she accepts to marry in a valid way. Please, be patient with her! Try to show her the beauty of the faith. You’re the man of the family, be strong.
@a.ihistory5879 catholics married outside the church are not seen as being in a proper sacramental marriage because they were married outside the church. Those who never had the faith are seen as valid because they haven't bound themselves to the higher standards of the church yet. If they did, then they would need to have their marriages blessed. If a Catholic is married outside the Church to a non- Catholic, then it is deemed a sin because the Catholic (should) know better than to allow themselves to be in such a situation which is considered fornication.
Thank you Father
Wonderful sermon !
I was wondering if this sermon was going to be uploaded. Thank you.
And what do you do regarding abuse?
You need to speak to a priest, if you or your children are in danger.

The Church allows for separation in such a case, but the marriage is still valid.

Was not anglicanism invented because Henry the VIII wanted to divorce?
