Thank you for taking the time and showing us the mods you did to personalize your Opus. I also enjoyed seeing what you did with your Jeep. I also occasionally tow mine with my Jeep so I enjoyed your input on what you did there. I subscribed and am looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.
Thanks for doing these videos. Picked up our OPUS 4 last October and was able to get out about 7 times so far but the winter is tough here in PA. Still getting used to the camper. We are a family of 5 and the kids love it. Had to figure out how to get the Hot Water over to the sink and would love more detail on how you did the Hot and Cold at the same time conversion there! Happy New Year.
Great video, I have a 2020 JLU Rubicon and am looking at the Opus but am concerned about towing. It looks like towing isnt as much of a concern as I thought with the OP2...
What is the towing capacity of your Jeep? We just got a new Bronco with the V6 but capacity is 3500, so we're looking at the Lite, but would prefer the features of the OP2 but fully loaded would exceed the tow rating.
Does the shower tent drain thru mesh or something? Also do you happen to have an idea what the size of the dinette bed is when converted? Was wondering if I could fit two of my kids on it, 12 and 5. I’ve just put a deposit down on one so pretty excited. May have a few more questions.
Yes, there is mesh. The bed is small. Probably like 5x5 or maybe slightly larger. Average adult can sleep on it diaginally. 12 and 5. Yes. 13 and 6. No.
Jim, Thank you for sharing great details. Could you share more specifics on the mods you did on the Jeep suspension / springs? I saw the air bag within the back-springs but I am not familiar with it. Thank you in advance! Daniel
Great video - thanks for sharing 👍 It's great to know there's no interference on the Jeep tailgate once you had removed the winch. That's a small detail I hadn't thought about yet as I'm looking at purchasing an Opus and towing it behind my JL. You've got some great mods in there too - giving me lots of ideas 😉 Nice inverter set up. Can you lower the table when packing up ok or does it just completely disassemble? How many watts of solar are you currently running when overlanding? Is the stock hitch performing ok when off-road or would you look at 'upgrading' to the DO35. Cheers 👍
The OP2 can sleep 4 if 2 of them are under 5'8". The dinette breaksndown into a bed but it is short. The OP2 has a porta potty in a cabinet that is easy to access. The shower room hangs off the back and has a standard RV outside shower along with hot and cold running water.
What made you decide on the opus vs the Patriot x1 or of grid trailers? im currently in the market for a trailer but i know the x1 is a year wait. Was the price decent on the opus? do you have any regrets thus far as I too have a 4dr JL lifted rubicon.
I have sold the Opus and built my own badass trailer. The decision for the Opus was driven by the feature set, suspension, and the amount of room inside. The decision to move away from it was primarily because we wanted zero set up time, a better bathroom, and a residential mattress.
I need to quit watching these videos. I went with a teardrop over the Opus...and have regretted it. The Opus trailers have everything dialed in. Just wish they were a few hundred pounds lighter.

Ditto in wondering how you did this

Rick Krawler rear 2.5 inch lift springs and 5x9 airlift 1000 airbags inside.
Nice mods. Can you post a link to those clear containers that you purchased? I was not able to find them.
Sorry. I just know they are at the container store in Portland.

You have to pull the leg out. 140W. The Lock N Roll has been flawless and silent over 20,000 miles.
@@4x4overlandadventures55 thanks 👍👍
Thanks for the video. I’m in Portland and I’m trying to talk the wife into opus. Can the opus 2 sleep 4 and how does the bathroom situation work?

Hey Jim
. What projector are you using. How much, is it worth the price and do you like it.
I will check
It is an axxa but I can't find the exact model. Has a built in battery, HDMI, etc.
