I just completed the first section of the proadvisor test. Your quick notes saved my life. I’ll be working on lesson 2 tomorrow. You make the lessons so simple and relatable.
I COULD CRY!!!!Your course is everything! I don't learn by reading but having your course videos and following with the practice account has given me so much hope. I though for a second that maybe being a bookkeeper for a year for a small business wasn't enough since we use desktop so thank you!!!!!!
Yay! I'm so glad it was helpful! Intuit is changing the test at the end of this month, so there will be an updated version of this video in a few weeks.
Omg I will try your site because, yes, nothing matches up exactly! I’m not new to quickbooks or accounting software in general, but I’m very particular and want to know I’m understanding exactly what I need to know!
Yes. In the new Certification hub, you will find Sample questions for each of the tests. I have not yet reviewed them to see how well they match up to the actual test questions. It's on my list!
First of all I want to study books and after that I will take the admission process. When I will complete ready to all questions then I will appear to test. I have this way only, because busy.
Thanks a lot dear and really appreciate the effort you have put in to explain everything in so much detail and in simple manner. Respect all around. I am on it now. Thanks again ❤️
Hi! Very clear video, thank you for that. My question is, will all the questions in all the sections be MCQs or will there be other format questions like typing in answers or creating invoices or journal entries etc.?
At the basic level, all the questions are multiple choice--some with radio buttons, so there is only one correct answer, some with checkboxes, so there are multiple answers, and some with drop-downs, with multiple drop-downs per question. At the advanced level, in addition to the above, there are a handful of questions that require you to do a math calculation and enter your result. There are no questions that record your keystrokes creating transactions, but you do have to know the keystrokes to get the different features. Use the Sample Company to test this (in a different browser or incognito window)--you do not have to have it memorized. HTH
Hi I'm so glad I found your channel. I just got certified in Intuit Bookkeeping through Coursera and I wanted to get certified in QBO as well. I used the link you provided however, they aren't accepting my zip code I live in Canada. I was wondering if you encounter this situation or one of your subcribers. Looking forward to hear from you
I'm glad you have found the channel; however, I'm afraid I can't help you. I only work with the ProAdvisor program in the U.S. I recommend you reach out to Intuit directly to find out how to get access to the Canadian program.
Yes. A few weeks after I recorded this they changed it all up!! Unfortunately I can't make edits to videos already on RUclips, but I recorded a separate video about the changes here: ruclips.net/user/livejfqdvtW1UWo?feature=share HTH!!
Hello I have a question for you, while reviewing my uploaded receipts it was going well. Then I went to my invoice tab just to look around, go back and now the receipt details are showing tax type and tax amount. It's automatically adding the taxes and everything is wrong, is there a setting for this or do you know what happened? Thanks
You always have access to the course, yes, but it is specific to getting your certification, so you won't need it after you have passed. You do have to recertify every year, but that is a separate course and is offered as an add-on. Hope this helps!
I don't know why I just saw this! So sorry! Coupon codes are available through a variety of groups. If you belong to a bookkeeping group, check with your leader. If they do not have a coupon available, they can contact me.
I want to purchase the QBO certification study course from you but in case u dont finish the rest by Oct 31st can u still use that study guide course i bought or do i need to buy it again?
You do not need to buy it again, however, you will not be able to use the same study guide either. After Intuit releases the new material, we will create a new study guide, and you will automatically get the new version. We aim for on or before December 1.
I am a "newbie" wanting to learn QB and work into the QBO Pro Advisor. Is this a good place to start or do you have other suggestions for me? Just so you know, I do not know QB at all yet. ;-)

Is QB Online the same as the software QB Desktop Pro? If I learn how to use QB Online, will I be able to use QB Desktop Pro? Is QB Online the one that most businesses are using?
That should cover everything that is included in the Section 1 test, but please note that I do not work for Intuit and cannot advise you on their training. I can only vouch for my own training to prepare you for the test.
Good day, Ma'am, I tried to access the free quickbooks proadvisor certification, i cant proceed because the portal requires to input the accounting firm name and zip code number. I don't have my own business yet. Is it possible to proceed still? if yes, how? thanks in advance for your response.
You can just add any firm name and zip code--they are easy to change later. Also, be sure to watch the 2023 version of this video for updated information about this year's program: ruclips.net/user/live8SU5lLSjG-0
Question I was trying to figure out that's not obvious, are certifications tied to a person or to a company? Seems you can add multiple users and get multiple users certified, if one of those users moves to another company do they have to get re-certified?
Hi, I have no clue about being a bookkeeper is it worth it for me at the age of 58 to start this? So is the Certified and Advance ProAdvisor in the same courses you give?
I cannot say whether bookkeeping is for you, but I can say that many many people, including myself, started in their 50s. I only teach the certification test. For more information on bookkeeping in general, I recommend Bill Von Fummetti's Booming Bookkeeping course. You can find out more here: www.crystalclearcashflow.com/Bill Regarding the certification, Intuit offers both basic level and advanced level ProAdvisor certifications. You can get the Intuit training for free, as described in the video. My courses teach the same material, just in an easier and faster way. You would still go through Intuit for the test itself. Hi, ok I was just told that I don't need any prior experience in or with bookkeeping also I'm not or have any experience in accounting having said that can I still take the QB Pro certification without any experience what so ever how would that help me with bookkeeping with something like a restaurant?
You do not need any prior experience bookkeeping or accounting to take and pass the ProAdvisor exam. However, that does not mean you're ready to be a bookkeeper. Getting your certification is like getting your learner's permit--you still need to learn how to drive. I only help with the exam. For everything else, I recommend Bill Von Fumetti's very comprehensive course called Booming Bookkeeping Business. He teaches you everything you need to know from soup to nuts. Hi, I have some question, If I want to exam ProAdvisor Certification, Where can I exam? I live in Cambodia, Can use QBO or Can not use? When I sign up, QBO need phone number as US or Canada only. How can I don?
I'm sorry, as far as I know, certification is only available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Brazil. Currently our course only supports the US version.
No. This is for the 2022-2023 season. The 2024-2025 season is starting in a few weeks (usually November 1, but it looks like it might be early this year).
Is there a way to determine which exam sections cover which Self-paced training modules? i.e. so I can study the appropriate modules and then take the related test - - rather than study all of the modules and then go back to start taking the exams? Thanks
Unfortunately, no. However, the questions are chronological, so you can study a few modules and then try the test. If there is a question you haven't studied yet, just click Leave Exam and come back to it. There is no penalty for leaving and it does not count as one of your three tries. FYI, our courses are ordered by Section, so you study exactly what's on each test. www.fastandeasyqbo.com
