Perfect explanation. Thank you
Thank you. The low power just popped up and I had no idea why.
LPM is same as Battery Saving Mode in laptops. I leave it always on in my iPhone. You can just turn it off when gaming or when you need some boost for heavy apps.
Truth ty
lmp makes my phone die faster
Perfect Explanation 🎉
Wow this was actually very helpful brother 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 thankyou for making this video.
Bro, from tests done on battery, according to the data:
1) If we keep the phone around 50% (impractical so people including computers and I think teslas allow a feature for you to cap your charging wif in which 30-80% is recommended for real life use).
2) Too much heat plays a MAJOR role in battery degradation.
3) Natural battery degradation happens over charge cycles (a full charge from empty) which means just charging and using your device more will cause more disturbance within the chemistry of the battery degrading it.
4) Simply making the battery and leaving it there, it will drain over time anyways, although this is the slowest form of degradation. Once again, the best way is to keep it at 50% even though degradation still happens.
Both of these are derived from the chemistry in our Li-ion batteries. Low power mode simply reduces the clock speed (and hence, reduces the heat from using your phone as much as possible while prolonging the use of a charge cycle). Inevitably, low power mode should in theory increase battery life. The feature simply wasn’t released long enough for the conclusive research is done. Saying that low power mode is bad for your battery is simply the most stupid thing I’ve heard if we look at what we know about the chemistry of the battery. This feature is just as bad if not better than using the phone with this feature off. Although, obviously, I can’t definitively say until more research is done, just wanna be reasonable here.
Im still waiting for u to finish ur first point
@@bobmiah HAHA 😂 UR RITE I NEVER NOTICED
Charging to 80 is optimal. Stop using and charge at 20 is optimal (without using the phone). It’s simple
I know I always used it on on my iPhone 7 Plus and I have 75% health after 7 years 2 months, but still not sure. I think it’s more cause I close the apps always when I’m done with them
I haven’t done any scientific testing , but one thing for certain is that low power mode disables the performance cores on the iPhone and relies on downclocked efficiency cores .
Now if you run an intensive task on low power mode ( using efficiency cores only) it might cause more heat ,stressing those cores than just using the full power performance cores. The phones CPU scheduler is actually very smart and will swap between performance and efficiency cores based on load .
So for the most part it might be more energy efficient to render a video in full power mode than Low power mode . ( less time to render , and less time under stress)
I hate car analogies ,but sometimes I picture a 3cylnder engine trying to drive 100mph vs a 6cylnder cruising at 100mph . Pushing the smaller config can be more stress than using the more powerful config.
I could also be talking out of my ass but that’s my 2cents
Battery is more important to me and when I want performance I can just turn it off. Just a simple math if my phone lasts longer and I charge less my battery will last longer and I don’t have to replace it.
So u suggest that we should use LPM all the time?
@@armansandhu10 yes I do it all the time
i agree with this up until the 13pros, with low power mode on one of its key feature which is the 120hz will go down to just 60 which defeats a big reason to get them.
Damn truly said.
@@LarryC_HQ yes i know so if you're at home use 120hz and if not I'd say use 60hz and save battery
Thank you Daniel ..❤!!
For people who don’t know if it’s bad or not it isn’t bad for your phone ❤

Ok ❤️ ( I use LPM every single day of my life )

Lpm draining your battery seems like an urban legend to me. Heard my friend telling me abt how it ruined battery life, so i watched this vid. It confirmed what i already figured lol. It just slows everything down and stops things i dont need. If it was damaging, apple would have some sort of warning built in
FAQ says that your message
Apple was also the one who recommended people to leave their phone at full charge until research came out. Literally, their brand name influence misleads so many people.
I watched my phone go from 79% to 40% in minutes after I turned on low power mode. It’s not a legend

perfect explanation nice😊
Less background processes = charge lasts longer = less charging cycles = battery lasts longer.
Just turn off low power mode if and when you need that extra boost in performance.
So u suggest that we should use LPM All the time?
@@armansandhu10 yup, although background refresh does bes off in lpm by default. So if you're a power user you might wanna reconsider
imma use it all the time except when I am gaming

Thanks, it was helpfull
I been putting all my iPhone in low power mode all the time lol I don’t notice a difference 😂 I did this when I had iPhone 13 mini
Low power mode is good for only battery saver
Its effects on battery health if you use daily
So there is automatic low power mode on 20%
Nice ❤to hear am already subscribed 🥂🎉
Isnt the throttling it self a problem for the components ? I mean not really cuz its intended for such, isnt this the reason we buy iPhones for how the OS works and runs? I put it on randomly just to mess with how the OS sleeps its fetch and uploads of data.
I was just looking at my 🔋 life today thanks man
Someone I know recently told me that Low Power Mode actually drains the battery . So I turned it off and I’ve been at 76 for about an hour
Watching ur video on 15 prcnt battery low power mode on 😎
So is it good to put on low battery mode?
Surely low power mode does increase the life span of your battery though because it means if you have it on all the time then you can charge it less.
Conclusion: no damage to the battery or phone only limits some performances like bg apps running and refresh which you barely notice.
E eu que não sabia que você tinha um canal gringo também 🤡 o bicho é brabo até com os gringo!😂 Sucesso, Daniel 🇧🇷

Just tell me the concision is using low power mode all the time good for the battery or bad ??? That’s it
And now on iPad are officially have this feature in iPad Os 15

If the charge lasts longer it must also mean battery wear is reduced
If the performance is only 50% for an iPhone 12, that still means it's twice as fast as an XR
i’m glad to read this!! i switched from and iphone xr to and iphone 12 lol. oh well i guess i can keep it always on and have a way better experience than the xr! thx for letting us know
I found this video because we have started seeing iOS 17 drain our batteries (iPhone 13) about 25% faster than with iOS 16. I can't find the reason why. Neither of us are power users, and honestly, the iPhone 13 is overkill for our needs as we get several days on a charge. I can see using Low Power Mode for most of the day.
Legends looking in the comments to know faster cuz video is to long
I use low power mode all the time that I don’t even notice when I turn it back on
Thank you for information
Low power mode certainly is a positive for the health of the battery or longevity of the battery. Low power mode reduces the draw or drain on the current charge, essentially the battery is depleting at a slower rate since there is less functions demanding power. For example, lower power mode will turn off some apps that refresh in the background (if you don't have that setting already disabled), it will turn off some apps location requests (if you have that setting on for particular apps), it will also dim the screen and lessen the time before the screen locks....these various things put less demand on the battery. If you choose to ALWAYS or OFTEN turn low power mode on manually, your battery will stay healthy longer, though you may lose some functionality or the full experience of the phone --brighter screen, background refreshing of apps, etc.
i dont even realise the different between 60 and 120hz, just realised it changed refresh rate to 60 when lpm is on, i use ip15 pro and its brand new but i guess this phone battery drain fast hence why i turn on low power mode all the time😂
@@HelloThere-lo3qiif you can’t differentiate between 120hz and 60hz , then you have a problem. Becuz the difference is significantly noticeable
I have 10% and it have been 1 hour it haven’t went down I recommend to use low battery power
I wish someone talk about how choppy low power mode makes the 13 pro max
Other guy: it’s because your eyes are used to 120htz in in 60htz in low pow
Me: oh
is it really because we’re use to 60 hz cuz when i use low power mode it looks so choppy and horrible
Can u pls do a video no how to open an unable to activate plsss
Video is too long. Time is precious
It's bsd or no
Sounds like it’s something Apple was saying not to use it all the time and he was recognizing it will affect the experience but when something is running the same if whatever that is it gets used to it so if you run it on low power mode long time then take it off it’s more so change in the system that it s not used to again it has to shift for that change sure very small percentages taken off your battery’s life like a hard drive on a computer but they are there

Can you charge battery on low power mode
I just don’t get it, sometimes feels like that low power mode drains my battery more than just turned off. Maybe I’m fooling my self..
U is I had my shi on all day maybe bc I wasn’t listening to music but my phone was on 80 dam near all day
Same, 11 Pro Max gives me 9 hours battery life when LPM is turned off
I just recognize that if I use my lower power mode on my battery health drain vert quickly.
It works still better than the average phone I had before lol
my phone stays on lpm and it charges faster and it last longer and if it’s giving me more battery time then its everything because battery is everything
This guy don’t explain anything in this video what I’m looking for, so can I change my iPhone on low power mode is it safe or should I charge it regular ?
i really disagree with the statement about it changing how you use your phone lol. it really don’t change anything. look into settings video optimization your battery and get rid of all the unnecessary shit that’s on by default.
Why the hell would Low Power Mode be bad for the battery, why does this video even exist?
Please is there any problems if i use low battery mode all time ? Is that make any problems with battery health or damage battery?
Thanks

I have tried using low power mode, but when i got used to it.. i kept turning it on daily (mostly everyday). Is it safe? Or should i stop.
If you don't realize the slow down on performance or other experiance using the phone might as well use it all the time. Basically the slower you exhaust your battery the longer time between changes leads to a longer lasting overall battery health in the long run.
