I'm loving these videos and getting to learn about artists I probably would not have known about otherwise. That painting, A Great Cry in Egypt, is something else.
I've long admired Hacker's 'The Temptation of Sir Percival'. Thank you for presenting a broad selection of his work. 19th century naturalist and academic painting is very important to me and this has become hands down my favorite RUclips channel for visual art. Keep up the good work! I'd love to see a video on Fernand Pelez. I saw his ' Le Marchand de violettes' in a traveling exhibition a couple of years ago and it completely blew me away.
Another great tour of an unknown artist (for me a least...where do you find these wonderful painters?). I 'm struck by the "storytelling" quality of the works. If it was only the craftsmanship and skill of the artist that brought them attention, I can understand their celebrity, on one level, at least. But the ability to tell a story in these works, delving deep into an emotional level; to me that is a talent that cannot be taught; Viewing a number of these videos, it seems to be a theme of this channel (which I applaud, BTW). Being an illustrator, I'll confess a preference to storytelling in artworks; so there's my bias. I'm hoping to see more from you. Thanks again for your work and research. A bietnôt!
You are showing artists I had never heard of before, all of them so interesting and well presented. Thank you very much. I am grateful for your videos
What a fabulous artist. Thank you so much for showing us his work. I shall remember his name!

Thank you, we have a vast inventory of books, but to your point- storytelling is powerful and illustrators are also favorites with this channel
