Korean BBQ is the best! I'm lucky enough to have a Korean mother in law! I gotta say old boy looks right at home on that grill!
You got that right!
It’s fun watching people enjoy new things outta their comfort zone 👍🏼
I get nervous about new foods but I usually like what ever I try
BBQ right off the grill just can't be beat! I don't care what country or how, as long as its beef right off the grill it'll be great. Marinade is just icing on the cake.
I agree it was really good
Glad you tried it!!! If you’re ever in Los Angeles, you gotta try it again here!!!
We will!
If you ever find yourself in a big city...LA, Dallas, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Seattle, etc....you can get something more "authentic". But that place looked okay. They had some banchan (side dishes). They had some variety in the meats. If you go back there again and can get someone Korean (or someone who has lived there) have them give you the guided food tour. I'm glad to see you liked the food.
Thank you 😊
You guys's chopstick skill is really good.😊
It’s hard I really admire people that can do it
Great video enjoyed watching your first experience with Korean BBQ! I’m in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (specifically Va Beach) and we have several Korean establishments across our local 7 cities. One of my favorite places is called HQ BBQ and Hot Pot which does the Korean BBQ like you experienced but it also includes Hot Pots which is a different experience in itself. You get to select a broth flavor out of about 8 options then order veggies and meats to go into your Hot Pot. They have a bar of Herbs and Sauces to season things you put on grill or in your Hot Pot. There is also a small bar of Banchan which has about 6 offerings that is self serve. Some other great places around here are Grammy Karaoke Korean BBQ (which a lot of Korean Celebrities have visited including BTS…they have a wall full of Polaroid pictures in the Karaoke area) and Gogi Guys Korean BBQ but this place only has the grill like the establishment you visited in your state. All of these places have great food and service and I’d recommend any of them but each one has a different vibe to them so it is worth visiting them all!
Thank you for watching the video. I truly had a great time my daughter and I are planning to go to a hot pot restaurant soon. Any thing in particular you would recommend?
@@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk At our location, they have their HQ Signature Soup which has a broth made with Pork bones, garlic, veggies and seasonings. If you like things on the spicy side, they have a Szechuan Spicy broth which is also a pork bone broth but it includes spicy peppers. I enjoy both of those and even though my location calls their pork bone broth their “HQ Signature” I imagine the place you are visiting will have some sort of pork bone broth as they are popular broths. When I do a Hot Pot, I tend to add mushrooms, potatoes (early so they can cook), and all sorts of meats….with the Hot Pot the meats such as sliced ribeye, pork, chicken will be served very thin so it cooks really fast in the hot broth (not to mention seafood which already cooks really quickly). Meats intended for the grill will be noticeably thicker and shouldn’t go in your Hot Pot.
That sounds amazing I’ll definitely to try it out thanks
Your video was in my recommended feed. I haven't tried Korean BBQ yet. I live in AR and didn't know about this place. I'll definitely be trying it. I'm glad to see you liked it. Within the last 6 years we've tried some Indian food and Vietnamese Pho. If you haven't tried them I'd definitely suggest giving it a try. Wish it wouldn't have taken me so long in life to discover their food. Great video!
Thank you glad you enjoyed it
Thank you glad you enjoyed it the bbq was great and a really great time with my daughter
I live in Vegas and we pretty much have everything here. I tried west African food the other day and it was great. Similar to east Indian imo
Lucky I have to drive about one hour or more from my home
@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk next time try soondubu soup. It's a spicy tofu soup with your choice of protein or mushrooms. It's delicious
i am a kobra ( half korean half brazilian) two countries top tier in barbecue
Have you ever tried American BBQ?
Heck yeah, Kansas!
👍
야채도 같이드시고 건강하세요😊
Thank you 😊
In Los Angeles, you can cook it yourself, but I ask them to cook it in the kitchen and serve it at the table sizzling hot.
That not a bad idea I like that
Food is the ultimate language of diplomacy, the smell and the taste. Just don't blame them when you over cook the food that you cooked yourself. Enjoy the food!!
Thank you we had a great time
Love Korean BBQ
I do now that I finally tried it big fan
Great video 👍👍
Thank you so much
Wait til you try KFC(Korean fried chicken)…
Mmmm I love fried chicken 🐔
@@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk Korean fried chicken is on a totally different level.
Is it spicy 🌶️
Korean BBQ in Shenyang. Best BBQ ever
Man that would be so cool to go there maybe someday
Didn’t know that gross thank you
Did the chicken come on the same plate as the beef and pork??! 😮
Yes it did
@@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk 😬 probably a new restaurant from the now hiring sign. Grills clean everything including salmonella right??
Not sure
Miso soup is seaweed in a fish stock if memory serves.
Thank you it is a very unique taste
Hi..Miso is Japanese. In Korea it's called Dwen Jang
Both are made from feremented soy bean paste
Good to know I guess they taste close to the same?
@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk yes..miso is much lighter while the Korean is more intense
Love Korean BBQ have eaten KBBQ in NC, GA, FL. First taste of Korean food was when I was going to Wichita State University in 1985. Usually have Korean once a week. Have about eight choices for Korean where I live in NW Georgia, if I count the ones inside Atlanta it goes to over 50 as the Atlanta area is the home to the 3rd largest Korean population outside of Korea.
Man I wish I had more than one
@@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk There are 3 Korean restaurants in the town I live in, 4 in the county South of me; 2 in the county SW of me, 2 in the county East of me and probably 20 inside the perimeter of I-285 circling Atlanta. Not ALL will be the BBQ where you grill your own but regular restaurants with entrees and banchans served along side.
Man you can surely find one you like then lol 😆
@@JohnsonNaturalFarms-so6qk Whenever I would move to a new area, one of the first things I try to do is find the Korean restaurants/grocery stores. And I grew up in central North Carolina so for me BBQ meant pork. Been to Pig Pickins where the pig was cooked in a pit all night long and when ready the pig was lifted from the ground and you picked the meat you wanted with sides galore. I have several places to go depending on where I am when I get hungry. For the last three Christmas the is a group which meet up at a Korean restaurant inside the perimeter on the East side of Atlanta for dinner and then go around the corner to grocery shop at one of the Korean Super Markets that is an experience unto itself. There are a few in the Houston, TX area if you ever go south.
Sounds fun maybe I’ll make it to one of those events someday
Wow legit Caucasian ahjussi(old man) reaction. Lol
😂😂
I wonder if Korean farmers have a video of them trying American BBQ
That would be awesome lol 😂
I havent seen vid of korean farmer trying amerian bbq, but there are videos of koreans trying american bbq. There is even videos of north koreans who escaped and living in south korea trying american bbq
I’d like to see a Korean farmer trying American BBQ
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you ☺️
That is the most un korean bbq I have ever seen the sides dont look that good and that is the whole point and not even a cast iron grill? the butter is never the way to have this meal perhaps im jaded as i was stationed in Korea in the military and live close to a Korea town, wish they could try a more authentic experience...glad he liked it anyway
I would like to try a more authentic Korean bbq but I guess this was the closest thing my daughter could find near us and you are right about the sides the meat was good though
That’s bogus as hell the stress didn’t stick around to hell you guys out. It’s obvious you guys hadn’t done it before…
It was my first time trying it
Good thing you tried before you died. You woulda regretted it!
It definitely was something new to try. I did really enjoy all of it
It's not a Korean BBQ. It's just an imitation food. You can find out by searching Korean BBQ on youtube. if it's beef BBQ, they only sell beef.
Thank you for letting me know that
That's a close one to real Korean BBQ but not a real authentic one. also, servers were not able to teach you how to cook and eat the Korean BBQ, but where you are, it's as close to the one that's authentic
Go to know I’m definitely going back and do it again
