    ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
    -Don't worry Electricity is to weak to shock you.-
    This is how we hook up and use computer fans to help our rabbits get through the summer.
    Wiring- I should've mentioned the light switch isn't needed. That's something I added for fan maintenance and colder days when the fans don't need to run. The switch is only on the positive wire.
    Battery Wiring-Simply connect and wire the battery directly to the solar charge controller.
    If you want a maintenance switch; just wire a switch interrupting the positive wire. The negative wire goes straight to the solar charger. Use a female terminal connector to connect the neg/pos wires to the battery. All these links are in the Rabbitry section below.
    Any questions at all, please leave them in the comments below. Thank you for watching.
    Warning- Don't purchase a cheap computer fan under .2 amps.
    They're so weak that they won't be strong enough to push air.
    It's like having a fan stuck on low even when the suns out. Try to purchase fans that are at least .3 amps. They work much better. But you may need to use a higher watt solar panel.
    A 20 watt solar panel will run (5) .3 amp fans. AmpsxVolts=Watts.
    -Try to keep your solar panel and battery wires as short as possible so you don't loose a lot of power traveling from the panel to the controller. I use 16 gauge speaker wire on the battery and the panel.

    I want everyone to know the light switch isn't necessary. Wire the battery's positive and negative wires straight to the solar charge controller. The switch is only for maintenance and cold days. More details in the description. Don't get discouraged it's easier than it looks. Any questions you may have put in the comments below. I'll answer them ASAP.

      Ha! Hardly. Just some basic DC wiring. I think this does save some of the bigger rabbits . Especially on those super hot muggy days and nights. Thanks for watching.

      @@TheRabbitryCenter no problem, I have one question. Can I let sister and brothers make babies? Or mother and sons/dad and daughter? Thank you very much

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  5 лет назад

      @@webmash8878 Short answer is yes. The dna is the same so this will amplify traits in a positive or negative way. Breeding siblings for meat. Knock your socks off. Worst case scenario, one paw has 4 toes instead of 5. One ear might be twisted a touch. But most likely, nothing out of the ordinary.
      But if your breeding for quality stock or looking to sell them in the future its best to stick to mother to son / father to daughter or get unrelated for customer comfort. Many people compare their rabbits to humans which is a mistake. Rabbits are part of the rodent family. There's nothing wrong with building stock through line breeding. It's actually a great way to build up the colors and shape you want in your rabbitry.

      @@TheRabbitryCenter so its okay for meat rabbits? It doesnt bring weird problems to the meat? When do i seperate the babies from eachother? Thank you very much for your advices

    • @TheRabbitryCenter
      @TheRabbitryCenter  5 лет назад +1

      @@webmash8878 Not at all. Rest assured it'll be some of the best meat you'll ever eat. You can separate them lots of ways at different times. I can tell you I separate them at 6-7 weeks.
