The people in Marvel Really Hate Peter and Mary Jane being together, they will do whatever they can to keep them apart.
Sadly it seems to be as true as the people at DC hating the idea of Wally West, Jason Todd, and Roy Harper being happy

I was happy that black cat is still in Spidey's corner. Hope she stays involved this run. I really want them to get together since MJ moving on is part of this arc. I know MJ is endgame, but I think a long black cat era is being set up pretty organically.
I think it's finally time for spider man and black cat to actually work together and mean something. Since we all know that Mary Jane Watson is the end game, You might as well throw the long head curveball and just give us that

People have been asking for a bit, I wanted there to be a little bit to release kind of back to back. Right now this is up to Issue 9 and tied into Avenges Vs X-Men Vs Eternals and A new Spider-Verse... So finally, we have Spider-Man again!
And for those wondering, no there is no answers as of the time of me writing this. Spider-Man's missing 6 months havent been revealed yet. So hopefully since they are holding it over our heads, it'll be wroth the wait.
So they haven't explained why him and MJ broke up or how MJ had kids in the past 6 months?

this will never not be my least favorite Spider-Man run of all time. I'm sick and tired of Peter & MJ breaking up. Can we petition to NOT make this run canon anymore?
I mean you could but I doubt it will do anything. The fact is One More Day happened in 2007-2008 meaning it has been roughly 15 years and yet Marvel and their writers can't move on and until they do we're going to get stuff like this.

Superior Spiderman is great, venom redemption was cool too as it gave the symbiote an actual personality.
I love the ending of this so much where Peter visits Aunt may it brought a smile to my face and I can't wait to see more of this run

I hate this run SO MUCH. Now I'm just wondering when Peter will go back to spandex and Norman back to Goblin. Im betting his new tech will last only a year at most. Spider-Man has been nerfed SO MUCH. The "Everyone hates Peter Status quo" got old WAYYY long ago, how many times has he broken up with MJ, Fantastic Four, Avengers & X-Men now?

Dont know about you but Im sick and tired if the spandex. Hes one of marvels GREATEST MINDS and somehow cant scavenge some scraps that can create a suit stronger than TISSUE PAPER!?
@@no.1spidey-fan182 100% Agree. The thing is marvel is famous for its heroes looking like this, wearing tights and spandex. I'm guessing they're too afraid to change these iconic looks permanently since old and new generations are used to these. In my opinion the best suit for Spider-Man is the parker industries suit. Its like the classic suit but it's obvious it's upgraded and the material is more durable then DAMN SPANDEX
@@kaine8911 100% AGREED. The Spider Armor MK4 is PERFECTION😭💯. Even if they dont want to give him armor. They have already done so many things that arent cloth BUT LOOK like cloth. Just look at Ben Reilly in the beyond story and even Spiderman 2099. They just want peter to SUCK at EVERYTHING at this point

This run is so frustrating, Mary Jane and Peter broken up is one thing but 6 months and she’s got a new boyfriend(?) and kids somehow. The mystery surrounding everything just makes the whole story worse.

I used to love Spidey when I was a kid, but I always assumed he would grow out of being a lover. It really happened with his marriage to MJ. Then the editors, er... Memphisto broke that up.
I know they wanted to keep the old Spidey that people know. Tough luck. People grow and change. For SM to be interesting to me again, he needs to change. He can't keep going back to the photographer who lives hand-to-mouth.

Man, I remember being a kid in the 90's and reading comics with John Romita Jr. as one of the first artists whose work I began to recognise, along with that of Mike Wieringo.

I liked certain aspects of this, Spider-man keeping the peace by making the bad guys be less bad out of fear? that's good.
Peter finally getting a W and getting to spend time with family? really liked it.
But they nerfed Peter both in strength and in will in this. Peter is not a beggar, he does not beg for his life because he knows any day could be his last. and him not being able to take tombstone or break the chains is absolute nonsense, this dude literally seconds later bashed through a heavily fortified armoured door, no reason he shouldn't have been able to break out of those cuffs.
They nerfed our boy to OBLIVION a LONG time ago😭. This man used to be able to swing with the BEST of them. He ONE SHOT Tombstone a while back...why is this a CHALLENGE!!!?
Exactly one of the best traits of spiderman is he WILLINGLY nerfs himself so he doesn't kill people. Main should not be having tjis problem
Peter is clearly just depressed and going through things I'm sure that has something to do with his abilities not being as strong
@@offscreenpaws4207 Sure, but after being chained down and beaten to near death while being taunted with how Tombstone was going to throw the city into chaos and kill all kinds of civilians, Peter goes immediately from "I cant break these cuffs" to the kool-aid man blasting through a vault door.
Even if he's extremely negatively effected by emotional trauma, being told that his friends and innocent civilians are going to be hurt SHOULD be more than enough to make him break some regular chains and cuffs.

The fact that Marvel put THIS out to "celebrate" 60 YEARS of Spider-Man...shows you just how much they "care" for this character.
At this point I wouldn't mind DC writing Spider-Man comics cause at least they have SOME OUNCE of RESPECT for thier ICONS🤦♂️

this is a cool change of pace the beyond storyline I didnt even finish because Ben Reilly being a hero than villain again then dying and being revived a year later is very tiring and I wasn't a fan of the kindred storyline at all the last amazing spider-man run started off great but ended so lackluster recycling more of the same ideas so I'm enjoying this down to earth peter & the subtle clues to a Black Cat Romance again. My one gripe is you don't have to make Peter a totally down on his luck guy everytime we restart on a new run let the man be happy or at least give him a stable job

So a 6 month time skip after the Beyond arc where we have no idea what happened, and Mary Jane has kids that are walking and talking. So we're never going to get to reset the timeline and get Mayday into the main canon proper.
Except Spencer's last arc revealed mephisto screws with peter & mj to prevent Mayday so she kind of has to be addressed at the very least
I'm so lost, how does the ending of Beyond lead into this? What happened to Peter and MJ moving in together? What happened to the MJ who stood with Pete through his coma? What happened to the Pete who found himself and got back on his feet after training with Cap and Black Cat? I'm just 8 minutes into this video and still have so many more questions....

It really seems like the writer is trying to blend Peter’s personality and the No responsible personality of Ben after the Beyond arc. I hope that it is less jarring in future issues

I’m really lost. I saw the video on Spider-Man beyond but this story just got me lost. I would like to know what happened to Peter after the beyond story and before this story. He’s giving me symbiote spidey vibes
Sorry to bring this news to you, but the rest of us would like to know too! Wells has been holding this “mysterious 6 months that passed” over our heads that supposedly explains this VERY jarring status quo change. The problem is that after 10 issues we still have no clue what went down in those 6 months after the beyond arc, no flashbacks, no explanations, nothing.
The frustrating writing and awful Romita art is just such a damn shame. At least the Beyond arc had gorgeous art even if it was complete filler, but this is just depressing
What the other guy said, they went from Spider-Man Beyond to this, the missing 6 months is still a mystery at the moment. I wasn't releasing this until it was revealed, but it looks like it'll be the whole theme of this run. Hopefully the reveal is worth it!

Man spider-man and marvel has the same problem as Batman and dc…they never get a break every few years or so they’re lives go straight to the toilet. It’s like water, when the waters start to calm and stay still, the writers drop stones in making it ripple and bounce. For beloved characters they never stay comfortable

No apparently not. Apparently Marvel hates them together and they've been doing this since 2007-2008 so about a decade and a half. It's time for Peter Parker to move on but the writers can't seem to do that and it's sad to see.
I really dont think that making peter miserable is the only way to make a good spiderman story..but maybe that is just me.
