      Hi Geoff,
It's fairly straightforward on this model once you know where to put each wire. ...
      Jim....

Hey i have a question i did this process , but my lights arent working. Do i need to run that blue wire from the center of the board that went to the light to the decoder common?

Hi Brian, not 100% sure as it was over five years ago this fitout..best to use a multi meter tester to find out..
I did add a corless motor to this model too at some point..
      Jim.

Hi some are much harder to do e.g permanent double headed special set locos and locos with complex lighting , this is an easy one to do...once I sussed out the wiring. ..so I thought I would share this info....

If you have the pre-1999 ICE 1 Model, you can't fit a decoder like that, as the motor bogie chassis is live.
