This is one of the best DNA test vids I have seen. You are great together.
Aww, thank you! We really love hearing that! We would love to have you subscribe to our channel if you're interested! :) Have a great day!
"I bet it says '100%' beautiful" LOL cute.
Haha! Thank you :)
This was really interesting. Mind you... I'm sure I could watch you two discuss the weather or variations of dust bunnies and still enjoy it. I just find you so entertaining and I love how you blossom in each other's company.
Thank you!! That's so nice!
This vlog was incredibly interesting!! Sherry, your hair is amazing in this vlog, love it!! I'm going to order 23 & Me right now.
Woman: your maternal haplogroup is U5b2; the Kings and Queens of Germany are U5b. Is there something more here? Your north African DNA is not a surprise since the Moors traded with Spain and you have Iberian DNA.
Man: Your sub-saharan DNA is from the 16th century. In Elizabethan England, free blacks lived in London working as servants, musicians, dancers, and performers. Shakespeare wrote about them in his plays. They inter-married into the general population. Look into this.
Thank you SO much! This is very interesting and we will certainly look into this!
french2two funny I thought you were " Black" when I just saw the photo for the link to the video
I just want to say that I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. You are such positive people and very engaging!
Thanks so much! :)
Amazing how the purple hair comes from Middle East and North Africa!!!
So cool, you two!
Who knew that's where purple hair comes from?!
I thought it was the Unaccounted for ..aka Disney/princess side!
Your DNA reveal is by far my favorite, and I have watched quite a few. Now I am even more anxious to get my 23andMe results back.
Hi Linda! Thanks so much for that feedback! We really wanted to make something that other people found helpful!
Thanks for explaining it so clearly! I ordered a kit, submitted a sample, and now waiting for the results!
This was so very cool to watch! My husband and I have been wanting to go this. I didn't know they give you so much in depth information.
I was browsing through different videos on DNA testing, and yours was pretty fun. Thanks!
You're welcome! We're glad you enjoyed it.
I guessed he would be a Brit, with a bit of Nordic and she would be a Brit with French and German... Was chuffed to see the results.
You guys are hilarious! Love this! I’ve been contemplating which DNA test provider to go with. 23AndMe should pay you. I’m sold 😂
SO glad you found this helpful and entertaining! We're glad to let 23AndMe Pay us if they are interested :)
The subSaharan ancestor was on your X chromosome. A European grandfather in the Revolutionary era had your SubSaharan grandfather.
Grandmother. The darn auto correct
The cool thing is you can export your results to other companies (The Genome Project) for one. Helps to spin to their algorithms for different views.
You can order the 23 and me book the story of your DNA. it's based on your ancestry results.
Don't joke about purple hair; this is an informational show.
This was really fascinating and cool. We've actually thought about doing this. It was so interesting to see your results.
Planet Milo we really loved doing this!
I love how people react to the Neanderthal results. I am waiting for the results of this test and there will be surprise if I have more Neanderthal than most users! haha
After watching this and seeing Riv and Al's video too, I'm more convinced than ever I want to do this!
It was super interesting to learn all of this. Pretty different than what Sherri and I expected!
100% beautiful. So sweet. My family is going to do one of these. It's very interesting.
We totally recommend it! It was SO interesting to learn all of this!
This is pretty cool. Kinda want to do this now! - Tony
We highly recommend it! We loved learning all of this!
This is such a fun idea and I am really tempted to do one with me and hubby. I'm pretty sure Im all irish/british but who knows there may well be a bit of a surprise in there
I’ve been wanting to do this so bad. How fun
While I was watching, Ellia was waving to you both and said "hi" ;) LOL! Oy, things get complicated lol I still wanna do this! I have to see if I'm Irish ..I know I'm Italian, but it'd be cool to find out! I'm ordering one of these for Brian and I!
Nice! Can't wait to hear your results!
how so fun! my moms first generation American. I'm have slovak, my husbands a redhead Indian one of the first here in Massacutts I think we are going to try this how fun , you all do fun stuff🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Very cool! :) Thanks so much for watching.
If you wanted to find out more about your haplogroups your next step would be to have Adam and any male relatives take yDNA testing and Sherri and any female relatives take mtDNA. Males pick up the yDNA from their fathers and it passes down that line. Surname projects in family ancestry use the yDNA test results. mtDNA or mitochondrial DNA is maternal line.
I took the ancestry.com version of this test back in 2014 and that is what set me off on this fascinating journey. I did take the mtDNA tests which are a lot more expensive. That is how I found out my haplogroup. The ancestry.com versions don't (or didn't back then) give you haplogroups like the 23andMe test you took does..
I am considering taking the 23andMe version of this test to see if it comes up with the same haplogroup.
Relatively new subscriber and this is my first comment here. Really enjoy watching your channel. :)
Ooooh, that's helpful! Thanks!!
Its my pleasure. I do have a diagram of the haplo groups and the migration patterns they took if that would be of interest to you? Would just need your email address.
I really want to take one of these. Though I'm pretty sure my family is just from east Asia, china, Korea. Those two mainly.
Question for you two: What drove you to share the results with strangers? I am conducting an informal research on why people like to expose their intimate things with everyone.? Thanks,
You guy,s are great, Thanks for the info.
You're welcome! Thanks so much for watching :)
Love the hair
Thank you! :)
WOW beatifull, guys !!!
Sorry to sounds like a know it all but I’m pretty sure Neanderthals were shorter so you’re lucky you didn’t get the short Neanderthal genes
Is it British or Irish I wonder? Two different countries so not the same😁
Ftdna is the only company that offers Y and mitochondrial testing. Men can test both of those and women can only test mtDNA since they don't have a Y chromosome.
Cute couple...I enjoyed your video!
Thank you so much!
Definitely agree with the 23 and Me marketing comment lol
Right?! It's just so much better than the other DNA test options out there!
Everyone came from Africa. Some times it registers and sometimes it doesn’t.
And some left Africa and others not
No they don't 🙄 you're talking about something from a 100,000 years ago. Secondly that was east africa, not north or west Africa and dna is completely different now.
This test only reflects your recent ancestry. Humans migrated from Africa thousands of years ago lol.
Make sure you upload your raw data to ftdna.com and MyHeritage.com. Free transfers and you'll be in two more databases. Also, make sure you check out your DNA relatives. People who share DNA with you and are your 'cousins'. Maybe you'll be able to find your common ancestors!
Great tips! Thanks!
Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra Sedgwick found out they were 9th cousins twice removed...lol!
You a brother lol
anything under 1% is prob just noise
You two are 100% cute and funny!
Aww, thank you!! :)
are you going to do gedmatch.com
RUclips keeps prompting me to watch this. Apparently I missed it. My results said what I already knew. I'm extra white.
This guy looks just like my brother!
Your brother sounds like one amazing guy! :)
he is we didn't find out about him until we were adults!
Bro that 1% African it shows on your face cool
Freeman Rolle agreed
I saw it too.
Freeman Rolle You’re dreaming if you think you can see “African ancestry” on his hairy mug. lol...Also, his sub-Saharan is not “1.0%” it’s less than 0.1%...likely noise.
Okay, this is cool, but you guys- over 800 subscribers?! woohoo!
I'd love to see my DNA test results - I know a lot about my mom's side of the family, but little to nothing about my dad's side. This stuff always fascinates me.
I agree, always fascinated by this stuff! Also, 800 subs, so crazy!
Nicely presented.Women do have paternal haplo groups, but either their father or brother has to be tested for them to find out what it is.
Ahhhh, that’s good info, thanks!
süperdi. 👍
we have to write this information in identity cars from the first day of birth for all people the world... new World Order
The 0.1 African comes from Adam and Eve.
