sorry grace but I would like to add due to a winter resurgence of cases in Hong Kong theaters have been closed for 2 weeks now I was supposed to watch it yesterday😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@randomguy2402 Same over here in Honduras, enjoying the spoiler video now hehe...Also hadn't been to theater since February so it was awesome. It also broke me Grace, it really did....
Grace [sobbing]: “When that happened I was like-she’s gonna be at the crap outta Max. Boy I sure would. But she didn’t. Cause she’s mature. Good for you Wonder Woman. *I woulda beat him to a pulp.* “ Iconic.
I didn't have a problem with Gal's acting in the beginning. It was just the dialogue that was truly terrible. The whole intro to the scene with Diana and Barbara having lunch was just them telling each other how great and fun they are. Who talks like that???
@Mike Demirdjian damn. That's sad. I mean I guess Diana was really sad and just needed to offload subtly that she's not "always out" partying or whatever. But it had to be more organic than the final outcome turned out to be.
The mall scene was way too cheesy and, even though it was played for laughs, it wasn't funny at all. Really, the writing overall was a total, muddled mess.
Wonder Woman flying was the most realistic depiction of flying not the reason why she flies but how they make it look it looks like she’s actually flying not just laying on her stomach in front of a green screen
So she made herself weaker by overwriting her wonderwoman powers to become a cheetah? She wish to become like Diana who was immune to electricity but electricuting her in the water takes her out.
This movie touched me very deeply because the love of my life passed away almost two years ago and there is nothing more that I wish for than to see him again.
I'm exactly the same. In fact, I even want to be spoiled, so I can decide whether something is worth watching or not. Getting a movie/series/book spoiled, never ruined my enjoyment.
Grace, “the only black character” wasnt just the homeless person. There was also Max’s assistant and the boss/manager of the museum. Also, i think the movie was BAD. I loved the first one and i’m a HUGE wonder woman fan, but THIS was bad.
I thought the same as Grace when I watched this movie, but you are right the museum boss and the second assistant at the office both had speaking roles. I am not sure why the homeless guy was so jarring though. The other 2 black characters where not as memorable but they did exist.
And the cute little girl who saw her take out the guys in the mall. It’s always nice to see us (black people) getting a heartfelt role that maybe small but would have, in the past, always gone to a cute little blonde girl instead.
Don't forget the black cop who said, "I dont know what to do." In the riot scene. His delivery was horrible. All the extras in the background had horrible acting and direction.
Is nobody going to reference that Lynda Carter later being seen to be Asteria, the original owner of the golden armor, makes the cameo in the mid credit scenes a nod to her being the original live-action Wonder Woman?
I like how they show her ability to use magic. that helps. BUT THE TIMING ... how they travel from one place to another in a day or less. hard for me to understand. Her changing outfits was weird. if she can use magic then stick with that.
i am shocked by the fact that no one, literally NO ONE raised a question about how was Steve so good with driving a 50 years modern car and a jet plane he just got into after merely 2 days of his return? Not only could he drive that car, he could even race it with battle trucks and tanks and even drift it??? Ok, tell me some more jokes.
Modern cars are easier to drive than older ones because of power steering (and 80's cars weren't the computers on wheels we have today). I think the modern aircraft would have flummoxed him though.
Grace, the part you don't like about Diana seeing Steve's image, is important because it's the "lie" she's telling herself to accept his resurrection. That's why towards the end of the film Diana returns her wish because it's based on the lie she was telling herself in order to see Steve's image instead of the actual person's image. Remember that she didn't see Steve's image at first until he started quoting thing's Steve has said to her.
@@JohnDalton4388 It would have worked so well if she just tried to dress up the guy as Steve to make it less creepy. Should have just kept the good looking actor.
@@bloodcottoncandy ehhhhhh I don’t think any amount of dressing it up makes It okay for WW to rape a man without consequences. It was a weird choice considering she’s such a great character
Don't feel alone. It happens to me as well. I cried with the "good bye to Steve" scene, specially when she was running away from the pain. That was so emotional. And also when Pedro Pascal reunite with his son. And to be more honest, I cried again when I saw you crying explaining the scene. Thank you for the great job you do with your channel and for sharing your emotions with us. Happy holidays Grace!
There was no relationship with Pedro and his son at all the whole movie and then we were expected to feel moved by them running toward each other in the end?
I thought Diana should have found the kid and brought him to Lord to be the conduit for the kid to bring his dad around. Much like a Lego Movie moment. I would have cried then. I felt nothing during this movie the whole time, aside from frustration.
18:24 It's not just weird Grace is the awful R word. When you realize that Diana just slept with a man without his consent then smiles and flirts with him at the end without him knowing they had slept together, that was cringy, they don't even question the morality of it in the movie. How would you feel if this was Superman sleeping with a woman who was possessed by the soul of Lois Lane I bet there would be far more outrage.
This movie is such an amateur outing for the whole crew. It’s a case of people being so starved for something that people will accept anything. It’s Superman 3 bad.
Wow. I was thinking the exact same thing! The "comedic slapstick" intro of Superman 3 is so BAD😆😆😆 And the mall scene and the few scenes of Diana saving people right before it reminded me of exactly that.
Grace, "Why is she a cheetah?" - I understood it was because her new wish was to be an "apex predator" like she said in the trailer. While cheetahs are not be the best pick for "apex predators," Barbara seems to like cheetahs as seen with her shoe compliment so that's their explanation of how she ended up as a cheetah.
Exactly, I was stunned Grace didn't pick that up. Apex Predator, plus leopard print (loving diana's high heels at the beginning, later on then she has some garment in leopard print), plus she wanted to be something unlike anything else, something special. Ergo Cheetah. I guess Karen to be fair to Grace, she has a lot of stuff to watch and note taking to do, can't be expected to pick up on every little detail.
Yeah I remember watching the movie thinking of Grace’s comment in the non spoiler review about it not making sense, but when Barbara followed up her wish with that addition I was like oh there we go!
why would barbara get 2 wishes? it doesn't make sense.. even Maxwell's son didn't get 2 wishes. and Maxwell didn't even like what his son wishes for. mind you that the son is the person he loves the most. this part is just bad writing I feel like.
@@fallguy4209 No. She saves a girl from dying and the mother asks her name. She says saving her was not a big deal since she's been doing it for a long time and tells her she's called Asteria, then she leaves the mother and daughter.
@@fndrnt During the whole movie are references to her. The games have a golden statue in honor of her, since she Asteria sacrificed herself to fend the men that enslaved the Amazons as they retreated/escaped to Themyscira. Later in the movie Diana tells Steve she searched for Asteria but she only found her armor, so the audience can inferred she died. But the end credits scene reveals she's alive, but it doesn't say if she hasn't found or doesn't want to interact Diana. Her saving the kid in the scene is more like a coindiciende not that she's been actively protecting the innocent.

Oh, I don't know about y'all, but the part where WW is talking to the world and inspiring them to renounce their wishes, and we see it slowly happening - I was literally crying. For me, this ending was so perfect both for the movie and the character of WW; much better and more gratifying than if she just killed Max Lord (which is where I thought it was heading with all the "destroy the stone" remarks and knowing that she did that in the comics). I actually enjoyed WW84 more than the first WW movie and look forward to the next one!
“I know some of you are going to watch this anyways” You’re dang right I am! Spoiler reviews sometimes make the difference between me cashing in or waiting for my library’s copy😂
It was that way for me when it came to Rise of Skywalker. I did not like The Last Jedi, so I was considering skipping Rise of Skywalker, but after I saw the spoiler reviews I knew I HAD to see it, that it was my kind of movie! Rise of Skywalker is my favourite Star Wars movie 😁.
Completely with you. Never watched spoilers before the movie until The Last Jedi. Now I do it for every movie I’m interested in. Helps going in with some info- not to persuade me but to inform me.
Batman V Superman comes after this yet she can fly, has crazy armour, and is fighting bad guys around the world and somehow not being spotted. She doesn't need the WW outfit to stop some jewellery thieves. Movie is a D+ and that's for Pedro
Wonder Woman is at half strength in the first couple movies....yet beats up Ares who is a God, holds her own against Steppenwolf, Superman and Doomsday. In this movie she gets to fly, has her invisible plane and powered up to Superman type level, yet struggles with human villains? And she even bleeds a few times....luckily she speed heals later on to salvage that mess of bad writing. This movie really tanked....
By the end of this movie you could hear sobs coming from all over the theater. It happened during the Steve goodbye scene and when Max Lord is looking for his son. I got teary eyed myself.
"They just borrowed his body and Diana had sex with him without him knowing, I thought that that was kind of weird." 18:24 That's because it's rape and the double standards are unbelievable. As we all know, this would've been cancelled had it been a gender-reversed situation. Not to mention had the guy not been handsome, which is literally what his credits got to be on IMDb. Sick. That said, this was a very in-depth review just lovely as always. Keep up the nice and hard work, Grace, a delight.
That goodbye scene where she runs off crying Absolutely amazing acting That being said this movie was very poorly executed 5/10 Also Pedro Pascal acting was damn good
Wow, I was also crying when she said good bye to Steve. And then hearing you explain the scene during the video made cry again! It was so emotional. Great video as always Grace
I honestly hated everything about this movie. I was so dumbfounded that the director of the first one directed this one too. What in the hell is going on?
I have no idea what happened here. After the first two scenes it was like an overdrawn movie about nothing until it managed to squirm out something at the very end.
It reminded me a lot of Man of Steel. You had this perfectly cast actor that completely embodied the character... and then you didn't give them the movie to show it.
I’m hoping this’ll be how Iron Man 2 was to the first Iron Man movie. My favorite things about this movie were Pedro Pascal and Gal Gadot’s performances. Wonder Woman is still a great superhero and I hope they redeem themselves with the next movie!
Diana using the lasso to show Steve the truth about the armour tied in with her doing the same with Maxwell at the end - by tying the lasso around his ankle and making him see the truth, because he was touching everyone, everyone saw their truths which is why they all renounced their wishes.. At least that’s how I saw it!
@Brian Cairns She was thinking of a Cheetah a the moment of the wish because she has a tiger at the museum where she works. They only showed for a brief moment.
When i heard the BvS score at the end when Diana gives the speech i almost broke down into tears , those batfleck Martha flashbacks are doing wonders !
I didn’t realise Gal had so many haters... she’s perfect for the role! And I actually think the awkwardness works. The character would be cringy if she was quick witted
From what you shared, I can't get over how poorly Steve's return was handled. Imagine the outrage if the roles were switched and all of that happened to a woman's body, especially someone sleeping with said body without the original 'conscious/soul' knowing... and if the film wasn't directed by a woman.
Steve being back and leaving again looked like a cheap repetition to tug on our heart strings. I did not choke up or cried. The first movie did it so well, why does Diana’s character development need Steve again? I’d rather have more time building Diana and Barb friendship to further each other characters development. It was a Pixar “make you cry in the most obvious move” and now Steve might come back again in Flashpoint??!! What the kind of MCU cheating death is this sh*t??!! The movie has so many unclear things that I have to rewind and text my friend who has seen it twice before me. If a movie made me do that, it’s a sign of a movie failing. There are things that I like with one being Godot cementing the role as WW/ Diana but the inconsistencies and failure to clearly explain things weighed more. With one year delayed and months of pushbacks, personally I don’t think it was worth the wait like New Mutants.
Yeah as someone who probably enjoyed WW84 more than most, my biggest complaint throughout was that Steve Trevor felt so unnecessary and just slowed everything down. I really wish he wasn't in the story at all, and think it could've been a lot tighter without him. And wow that really took me by surprise at the end where you mentioned New Mutants being worth the wait lol. I thought New Mutants was alright actually but I don't think I've seen anyone say anything that positive about it.
Steve is literally the heart of the movie lol of course he had to be in it. He's there as Diana's wish and as something that she needs to give up. Like how would the movie work if Diana was lecturing the whole world about giving up their wish when she didn't have to?
I understand what tou are saying but I think the director sees her father (who was a pilot and died in service) in the character of Steve Trevor, that's why she likes him so much. I also think the movie is a very personal creation of hers, she even said that on interviews
But in the movie it was stated that the consequence is losing that which is most precious to you, it didn't say anything about the consequence being commensurate to the wish you asked for.
I commend you for being one of the only reviewers spotlighting the "GOOD" stuff WonderWoman 1984 had. I think every video I've seen has just bashed it to oblivion. Although I did give it a 5/10 myself because it just goes off the wall crazy and scenes are just happening so fast without explanation, there ARE some good moments in the movie plus the actors ALL did great with what they were given
I have never cried during a movie, but when I watched WW1984 I did. The emotional journey this movie takes you on is amazing. You will find yourself looking within
I have to say when Cheetah first emerged at the top of that building and gave that very slight smirk I loved it, Such a shame that Chertah overall got shortchanged
Just because the wish didn't work out, doesn't mean Barbara ever stopped trying to find a way to transform herself. We'll probably see her again in the future.
I loved Cheetah. She was amazing. And it makes complete sense that the character who always felt invisible and was insecure, her to care about being attractive. And she turned into a cheetah because she wished to Max to become something like no one else, an apex predator.
That’s it. Not sure how Grace overlooked this. When I saw the scene, it made perfect sense to me why Barbara became a cheetah. A chetah is in fact an Apex predator. Under the circumstances, she could’ve became any of the ThunderCats.
@@Twistedwolf-ru2qk no she didn't. her first wish was basically to not be a "loser" or "insecure" anymore and becomes the confident person like diana. if she renounced her first wish to be a cheetah, she would be a very insecure and not confident cheetah lol. and the real apex predator cheetah doesn't have the same power as a daughter of a God lol. how can a mere cheetah rip away the amazonian armor strongest in the world? bc she still has the wonder woman power that she wishes for in the beginning. so no. she never renounced it.
Is there another credit scene after that? Just saw the movie today, but asking bcs we couldn’t stay til the end bcs of safety theatre policies due to COVID, every screen has be evacuated in a certain order before all the credits roll
Don’t know if you’ve read already, but the payoff for Asteria happens in the post-credits, with the casting of Asteria. You guessed it already in the non-spoiler review.
Loved the throwback BVS music they used in the conclusion when Diana talks to "everyone". DCEU Nerd in me stood up & clapped & cried (again) lol. Patty mentioned this music track in pre-release interviews and I was waiting for it the whole movie. Thought it was perfectly placed. Also, Brilliant review, Grace. I absolutely resonate with what you absolutely loved and what you thought could have been better. Thanks as always for sharing!
Movie was dumb, what was the point of the intro ? It didn't lead to so.e foreshadowing about a lesson she would have to use later on. It was just a pilot for an Amazon show. We saw her grow up already y did they think we gave a shit about lil wonder woman again. ?
..it had its moments, but gal is a stiff as usual,, cheetah was kind cool.. too bad the ending gets preachy and political as expected.. it fails as a thriller and barely entertaining
Worst movie of the year. Looks cheap, horrible pace, bad writing, and bad CG. I knew Grace would love it... Anything virtue signaling or women made gets an automatic pass, justification, and even praise from Grace.
I didn’t love it. I found it hard to follow and uninteresting. Not Halley Berry cat woman bad, but it’s right up there with Green Lantern and Daredevil. Certainly not a classic super hero movie. I would have been disappointed seeing it in the theaters.
I am a guy and sometimes I cry when it comes to emotional pain or an emotional moment in movies or show. I believe it's totally cool as it keeps you light and the emotions don't get bottled up.
hahahahaha! 11:20 the moment kinda didn't land with me at all, but i always love when movies get you so much that you start to cry even thinking about it. good for you, grace
I have to disagree Grace, just watched the movie and she was great in the action scenes, but I dont think she has the acting chops for the emotional moments it comes off as corny and awkward, especially compared to the other actors in the room
Completely disagree, she can cut it as an actress but the action sequences were genuinely terrible but I actually don’t blame Gal but rather the director. The direction of the action sequences were horrible.
it was awful! wtf, where was WW? No sword, no shield, her bf constantly around. No actual climax with the superhero beating the shit out of the villain (no that fight w/Cheetah was stupid). This movie was a cheesy, romance novel with cheap stunts. I can't believe they made Diana into a cheesy little romance character instead of the badass warrior she is. 🤷🏼♀️
After Barbara told Max what she wanted in the helicopter, he says “I like the way you think. Go on...” which made me think that’s how the decision to become a cheetah happens and we just don’t see it.
After Barbara said she wanted to be the Apex predator, Maxwell said "Go on". I assume she was more specific in what she wanted to become. Still, could've been done better, I agree
Yeah, and in her origin backstory, she got her power from an ancient, powerful Cheetah goddess at an old tribe site in a jungle, they could have shoehorned that in. Something along the line of Barbara being the archaeologist she is, she knows about the mysterious lore of that Cheetah Goddess, and has her mention that Cheetah Goddess in a nerdy way in several scenes before she made the wish to be like Diana, and then when Maxwell grants her another wish, she should say sth specific like: "I wish to be that powerful Cheetah Goddess that I know about". That would make it much clearer than "I want to be an apex predator"
I watched the movie, some things are just plain silly even in the realms of disbelief suspension. But the emotional beats really hit hard, The Steve one hit hard but the one that hit hardest for me was the Maxwell one at the end. I teared up at one point. It's nice to know it had the same effect in Grace too.
@@marcsteven5532Yes, but it has to have at least some sense of realism, otherwise it will take the viewer out of the movie. That’s exactly what happened to me 😂 I checked out about twenty five percent through because it was just so silly and corny
Honestly wasn't so emotional over Steve leaving again. I was beyond proud of him for making her move on and not being a selfish guy. That showed how amazing he is and Chris pine nailed it. It was great to see Diana grow from that moment. The scene that made me emotional was Maxwell and his son. Seeing his hard life and how he realized his sons love was more than enough was powerful (cliche) and so rewarding. How can you not like Pedro Pascal!? Makes me even more hype to see him back as the Mandalorian and watch him get his flowers as the talented actor that he is. This film was a good one but I still felt like something was missing. But I'm glad that these actors has this on their resume. Awesome cinematography but I do hope Jenkins gets help for her Star Wars outing for the action. The physical stakes in this movie felt empty. Plus they should have just scrapped the Cheeta subplot. It really lead nowhere.
Just to point out something I noticed. The guy who wishes for coffee immediately burns himself on his drink. I thought that was a really clever moment and insane attention to detail in the script!
You re-describing the goodbye scene made me cry again haha. Just watched the movie and I loved it, best DC movie ever... I cried so much. Also, Cheetah was one of my favorite parts actually, I really sympathized with her pain; and when she beat up that pervert, I really felt why she was so desperate to keep her powers. Probably my favorite depiction of her in DC so far. ( Also on a side note, at 16:27 - I think the guy who wished for coffee burned his tongue because he said "Agh hot!!" if I remember correctly. Like a proportional consequence for a simple, small wish? )

Same. I purposefully look for them
Same.
Hearing about it and seeing are two completely different things. So I really don't mind
i am shocked by the fact that no one, literally NO ONE raised a question about how was Steve so good with driving a 50 years modern car and a jet plane he just got into after merely 2 days of his return? Not only could he drive that car, he could even race it with battle trucks and tanks and even drift it??? Ok, tell me some more jokes.
Modern cars are easier to drive than older ones because of power steering (and 80's cars weren't the computers on wheels we have today). I think the modern aircraft would have flummoxed him though.
The same way Rey became the top Jedi with no training😒
@@bogeyman7436 Rey got Jedi powers and Star Wars instant power, Steve got uuuuh
Grace, the part you don't like about Diana seeing Steve's image, is important because it's the "lie" she's telling herself to accept his resurrection. That's why towards the end of the film Diana returns her wish because it's based on the lie she was telling herself in order to see Steve's image instead of the actual person's image. Remember that she didn't see Steve's image at first until he started quoting thing's Steve has said to her.
And then she took this guy home and raped him.
@@JohnDalton4388 It would have worked so well if she just tried to dress up the guy as Steve to make it less creepy. Should have just kept the good looking actor.

Happy Holidays to you too!
There was no relationship with Pedro and his son at all the whole movie and then we were expected to feel moved by them running toward each other in the end?
I think the reason Lord ultimately renounces his wish, is because his son wished that his father would have a moment of greatness.
oooh, well said.
Truth!
No, his kid wished to have his father’s greatness
I thought Diana should have found the kid and brought him to Lord to be the conduit for the kid to bring his dad around. Much like a Lego Movie moment. I would have cried then. I felt nothing during this movie the whole time, aside from frustration.
@@artboymoy Ya know, I think that's a good idea.
I agree with you, but was is the R word? Is it a rape?
@@alikhanperiodt6483 my question, exactly. This person is calling Grace the R word. What is an awful R word that you can call a woman?
This movie is such an amateur outing for the whole crew. It’s a case of people being so starved for something that people will accept anything. It’s Superman 3 bad.
Superman 3 is awesome
Wow. I was thinking the exact same thing! The "comedic slapstick" intro of Superman 3 is so BAD😆😆😆 And the mall scene and the few scenes of Diana saving people right before it reminded me of exactly that.
Grace,
"Why is she a cheetah?" - I understood it was because her new wish was to be an "apex predator" like she said in the trailer.
Don't be shocked. Grace seems to miss details in movies all the time, which is why her reviews can be so off kilter.
Yeah I remember watching the movie thinking of Grace’s comment in the non spoiler review about it not making sense, but when Barbara followed up her wish with that addition I was like oh there we go!
That would mean Barbara got two wishes then.
why would barbara get 2 wishes? it doesn't make sense..
even Maxwell's son didn't get 2 wishes. and Maxwell didn't even like what his son wishes for. mind you that the son is the person he loves the most.
this part is just bad writing I feel like.

Omg is she wearing it.

Every time I see a new movie now, afterwards I say “now I can FINALLY watch Grace’s spoiler review!” 😂
Me too lol
Oh, I don't know about y'all, but the part where WW is talking to the world and inspiring them to renounce their wishes, and we see it slowly happening - I was literally crying. For me, this ending was so perfect both for the movie and the character of WW; much better and more gratifying than if she just killed Max Lord (which is where I thought it was heading with all the "destroy the stone" remarks and knowing that she did that in the comics). I actually enjoyed WW84 more than the first WW movie and look forward to the next one!
“I know some of you are going to watch this anyways”
You’re dang right I am! Spoiler reviews sometimes make the difference between me cashing in or waiting for my library’s copy😂
Bingo
It was that way for me when it came to Rise of Skywalker. I did not like The Last Jedi, so I was considering skipping Rise of Skywalker, but after I saw the spoiler reviews I knew I HAD to see it, that it was my kind of movie! Rise of Skywalker is my favourite Star Wars movie 😁.
Completely with you. Never watched spoilers before the movie until The Last Jedi. Now I do it for every movie I’m interested in. Helps going in with some info- not to persuade me but to inform me.
I don't want spoilers. I'm just here for Grace's popped collar.
As someone who cries over everything, and I mean everything. The Steve goodbye was incredibly cheesy. It feels weird to see Grace cry so much over it.
Hey, if it affected her, it affected her.
Everyone relate to things differently, if you lost a person you love before, that scene would hit u hard

That's what you say about a guilty pleasure, but she truly believes the movie is of high quality.
Did u see the post credit scene? The post credit scene is the reason we don’t see the big flashback on the armor’s history
Grace would have received a screener from WB and most of the time they don't have the end and mid credit scenes to avoid spoilers

Isn't it she just touches whatever plane she's in, then it turns invisible?
Well she has one somewhere. No way she’s going to be able to find that thing.
By the end of this movie you could hear sobs coming from all over the theater. It happened during the Steve goodbye scene and when Max Lord is looking for his son. I got teary eyed myself.
Grace crying externally was me internally at that scene. When your love life has been difficult, scenes like that cut like a knife.
"It's an imperfect film, but it's an ambitious film, and it's a gorgeous film and it's a moving film". Exactly!
"They just borrowed his body and Diana had sex with him without him knowing, I thought that that was kind of weird." 18:24
That's because it's rape and the double standards are unbelievable.
Spot on
When we got to this scene, I felt really uncomfortable.
Perfectly put
I didnt even know this happened cuz they cut out that scene in my theater
Yeeks that's awkward
The ending was subpar. It did not live to the first two acts. They had two great villains, did close to nothing with them.
I respect the excitement about the movie and the characters, but I do feel that there are way too many excuses being made for the script.
Seriously.. I can’t believe how non sensical everything was. Patty did so well with the first film what happened here!?
I think people are making excuses for it because they didn’t have to leave the house to see it. Not a good excuse .

I cried when she let go of Steve. “I will never love again...” - I will never forget this line.
I honestly hated everything about this movie. I was so dumbfounded that the director of the first one directed this one too. What in the hell is going on?
it was horrible. writers are different from the first one. This was a lame romance novel with cheap stunts.
I have no idea what happened here. After the first two scenes it was like an overdrawn movie about nothing until it managed to squirm out something at the very end.
Patty Jenkins fired the writers from the first film and brought her own people in …
It reminded me a lot of Man of Steel.
She wished to become the Apex predator while in the plane with Maxwell. That’s how she became cheetah.
only 1 wish per person... except cheetah because.... story needs it
@Brian Cairns She was thinking of a Cheetah a the moment of the wish because she has a tiger at the museum where she works. They only showed for a brief moment.
They definitely nailed the emotional parts to target people like you Grace, now I wish they only had some action parts so the target people like me.

Thanks for sharing your raw emotions with us Grace.
Your bravery is appreciated.
I didn’t realise Gal had so many haters... she’s perfect for the role! And I actually think the awkwardness works. The character would be cringy if she was quick witted
She is wonder woman but her acting skills are B-
Facts. She's amazing as Wonder Wonder
I like that she shows awkwardness to her character cuz it shows how human she is like the rest of us which makes her even more relatable
I think Gal Gadot really fits this role perfectly but I also think she could use some acting classes. She could be better I think..
Helder Almeida I haven’t seen her in other roles so I don’t know; however, I think she kills it as Wonder Woman !
From what you shared, I can't get over how poorly Steve's return was handled. Imagine the outrage if the roles were switched and all of that happened to a woman's body, especially someone sleeping with said body without the original 'conscious/soul' knowing... and if the film wasn't directed by a woman.
Yeah, I didn't even realise the potential of that while watching it. I just thought it felt kinda weird that it wasn't actually him
did they sleep together tho? or just played hide and seek naked? still a mystery lmao.
I wonder if Grace has lost a loved one that all these scenes hit her hard... I got teared up while she was talking about Steve disappearing
No, she just appreciated the movie
Grace, in the “Could Be Better” section you seemed to be wishing like the characters in the film.
LMAO DONT COME FOR MY BABY GRACE😭😭😭
it was worth it for Lynda Carters eyes.
I just realize when they guy wish for coffee at the beginning of the movie it burns his tongue, which would be the consequence for his wish
nope
Baha I guess, it is a pretty small wish so i guess it would have had a small consequence
But in the movie it was stated that the consequence is losing that which is most precious to you, it didn't say anything about the consequence being commensurate to the wish you asked for.
Grace, the Amazon in the golden armor is Linda Carter that’s the end credits scene
OMFG
I commend you for being one of the only reviewers spotlighting the "GOOD" stuff WonderWoman 1984 had. I think every video I've seen has just bashed it to oblivion. Although I did give it a 5/10 myself because it just goes off the wall crazy and scenes are just happening so fast without explanation, there ARE some good moments in the movie plus the actors ALL did great with what they were given
Grace crying is so precious 🥺
I have never cried during a movie, but when I watched WW1984 I did. The emotional journey this movie takes you on is amazing. You will find yourself looking within

I have to say when Cheetah first emerged at the top of that building and gave that very slight smirk I loved it, Such a shame that Chertah overall got shortchanged
Maybe she will make a better comeback in the 3rd movie
Just because the wish didn't work out, doesn't mean Barbara ever stopped trying to find a way to transform herself. We'll probably see her again in the future.
@@sarcasmxkate i agree her and probably circe the witch
I loved Cheetah. She was amazing. And it makes complete sense that the character who always felt invisible and was insecure, her to care about being attractive. And she turned into a cheetah because she wished to Max to become something like no one else, an apex predator.
That’s it. Not sure how Grace overlooked this. When I saw the scene, it made perfect sense to me why Barbara became a cheetah. A chetah is in fact an Apex predator. Under the circumstances, she could’ve became any of the ThunderCats.
@@CommodoreGT no one overlooked anything. Cheetah's transformation was incredibly lack luster. Stop defending bad writing

@@emanthescripter1076 I think she became a cheetah as the side effect of being more powerful, that was the downside

Completely disagree, she can cut it as an actress but the action sequences were genuinely terrible but I actually don’t blame Gal but rather the director. The direction of the action sequences were horrible.

"i would have beat him to a pulp" 😂😂😂gold
After Barbara told Max what she wanted in the helicopter, he says “I like the way you think. Go on...” which made me think that’s how the decision to become a cheetah happens and we just don’t see it.
Also she asked to be an apex predator so I though that was pretty obvious that was the cue for her tuning into cheetah
Its an 80s throwback even more than that, not Everything has to be cynical. ........ .
Excellent comment. Most underrated in the entire section so far 🤩
Just to point out something I noticed. The guy who wishes for coffee immediately burns himself on his drink. I thought that was a really clever moment and insane attention to detail in the script!
Oh maybe this attention to detail is what allowed Steve to fly a modern jet and a car. ( In 1918 cars were like Model T or something).
I was so disappointed with this movie. The first movie to me was gold probably my favorite DC movie.
Zack Snyder made the first one great, but then Patty Jenkins fired everyone that made the movie good to bring in her own people.

Like a proportional consequence for a simple, small wish? )
