I'm so proud of her and Deepti, they deserve better. Something is off with Shayne, he seems to have hidden anger issues.

Psychology In Seattle (on YT) breaks down Shayne’s responses in several problematic scenes and theorizes where it could of stemmed from in early childhood. I definitely get killer eyes from Shayne and the child like tantrums that he pulls when he is caught in his win lies.
Yea, seeing how angry he was inside with Sal for being good at baseball in his dess shoes was the turning point for me where I feared for Natalie.
I’ve wondered if Shayne is on meds or drugs causing him to act the way he does. His eyes 👀 stay strangely wide open & creepy, kinda like Ryan from Teen Mom when he was on drugs.
His mom face totally changed towards her when Natalie sad No. I was socked. But yeah shayne was all over the place
Natalie's father is a true jewel. That man's love for his daughter was breathtaking. I was so proud that she didn't allow herself to lower the standard of manhood that her father has displayed before her.

People tend to compare Shaina to Jessica. I think Jessica was just always so drunk in the show and so desperately in love with Barnett. But Shaina is evil. She lied and manipulated all the time.

Almost like she could not believe an Asian woman was more "compatible" than her. idk personally that's the vibe I got from her. Either way, she's terrible.

Just finished the finale, I absolutely love the relationship she has with her father and how it influenced her choice at the end. Honestly, I’m inspired.
The way one of the previews was edited made it look like Natalie's mom was a tiger mom, but her parents were both amazingly supportive and kind. It was so nice to see.

As an Asian American woman, having that type of father daughter relationship is rather rare and I never had that growing up. Seeing how supportive and loving he was of his daughter, I started balling because that’s all I wanted from my own father. If a grew up feeling supported and secure with my own father instead of always made to feel less than and never good enough, I don’t think I wouldn’t have chased relationships my whole life that made me feel insecure and undeserving. But how Natalie handled herself made me feel so proud of her and made me realized how I should also stand up for myself and walk away from guys who clearly are not on my level.
i’m sorry love, hope you’re now able to feel better and know your self-value. i relate to you regarding the asian type of parent bond that definitely lacks of emotional support and presence albeit me not being the first born daughter which is the worst position sadly.
I can appreciate your background and I too have a shit for father honestly. Yeah his eyes the entire time just bothered me. I thought the same when he was walking down the isle and when he got to the altar and looked towards the camera it was just disturbing to me. I thought yeah she should run. I'm glad she said no and we found out what he really said. He was so mad about not making a shot at the ball game you can see how miserable he was. You can also see him getting drink after drink so he got drunk and said his true feelings. Shayne wanted to marry her because she actually showed she wanted him and he wanted kids

Natalie dodged a bullet. Shayne seems to be a narcissist--insecure, can't take a joke, needs constant compliments, gaslights his partner when confronted with wrongdoing, uses cruel words to hurt her when things don't go his way. He even stated the reason he chose Natalie was because he was her 1st choice. It was never about her. It was all about what she could do for him. He would have broken her spirit and blamed her for it. I'm so glad she walked away.
so true, when watching the show I kept hoping Natalie didn’t go through with this relantionship because shayne always seemed to be gaslighting her and invalidating her feelings. im so glad Natalie said no and hope she meets some who shows her what love truly is.

Yesss, I noticed this when he complained that she never brags about him. And also the time when they were on the beach and she said a joke and he immediately jumped down her throat and called her annoying. ALSO back in the pods when he said he loves when they all compliment him and he's loves the ego boost he gets from it. Granted it's normal but the way he said it and how he fed off of it sounded my alarms. I'm glad she said no because she would be walking on eggshells for the rest of her days.

My main comment in Natalie and shayne is that shayne was too insecure. He always wanted to be emotionally taken care of and up to a point that's fair, but he was way too sensitive, always wanted to be fussed over and he's kinda...too immature for Natalie at times. Natalie on the other hand might be controlling or nitpick alot and from what I've seen, she can be a bit awkward and joke alot and give shayne a "hard time." But honestly, she never joked too hard. Maybe she was awkward and that was just how she handled it. She could relax there but again, shayne was just always looking for compliments and always seemed to desire praise and attention.
He was basically a manchild! The way he gaslit Natalie in the pods was absolutely disgusting and whenever there was a conflict, instead of taking the initiative or even contributing to de-escalating the situation he would up and leave like the MANCHILD he is!!!! It was so frustrating to watch

@@adorali727 hahaha I was just about to say that. I think the producers knew what they were doing when they chose show both Danielle and Shayne’s experience this season.
I mean I did see some therapist reactions and in one it showed her telling him an insult when he asked her to say something nice about him. Maybe his love language is words of affirmation 😂😂but I think for her that's uncomfortable to always do that for someone. So a few times I think it was just her humor and he didn't get it or like it but honestly if someone tells you to be nicer to them overall not just the don't joke about this one thing then it's a sign you aren't suited for each other.
Also this excludes someone saying be nicer as a respect my boundary statement. I'm more so saying if someone sees a personality/character flaw and is trying to change you and you don't want to already change that then it's a bad sign for compatibility.

Leaving her crying and confused. He didn't just admit to her that he was interested in Shaina alot. They may find each other.
Shayne lost his dad 2 months before the show got shot, that's something to take into consideration regarding his behavior

It is totally legitimate for natalie to say, hey, I'm not sure enough today, but maybe we could start slow and date outside of this format. Getting married after a month is crazy even if you fall deeply in live with someone
I “get” Natalie. Like I totally get her humor and I was surprised that as goofy as Shayne was, he didn’t get it. But what I loved the most was her relationship with her daddy 💜 You can tell he’s a good man and he gave her such a good example of what a man can and should be, that she was able to walk away when it didn’t feel right. If she can just find a man like her father she can’t go wrong!

I wouldn't call Natalie "confident". She's spoken about her deep & pervasive insecurity in interviews. That she accepted some of Shayne's troubling & problematic behaviors early on, like gaslighting & emotional manipulation, is indicative of this.
Especially when he was so upset at the baseball field. He reacted like it was a real game it was a little psychotic.
I'm glad she didn't choose Shayne. He seems very problematic, insecure, and immature. He needs to work on himself before seeking a relationship. Natalie needs to be more secure in who she is as well. I get that she wants to be more outgoing but there is strength in being reserved and laid back.

Just imagine how bad he is in private!! And what he said to her during the fight, "I hate you", was crossing a line that should never be crossed!

I wouldn’t say that…think of how many people identify as Christian. Many of them are comfortable with their sexuality and might even exhibit promiscuous behavior, but they still don’t want to date a nonbeliever…She was just thinking long term. It’s hard to raise kids with someone who doesn’t share the same values.

To be fair, he is, BY FAR, much, much worse, but let's not rewrite history & pretend she doesn't have significant issues, the worst being her inability to see blatant red flags/gaslighting, her toxic "humor", her lack of self-awareness, & her pervasive insecurity.

Like everyone here is saying, Natalie’s father seems wonderful. He was so supportive since the beginning because he trusts his daughters judgement A LOT! Clearly he was right to trust her during this bizarre situation because in the end she made an educated, wise and well thought out choice. She’s incredibly classy and self reflective, and knows exactly want she needs and wants out of a relationship! Shayne has anger issues... and probably some drug problems. He's on track to be an abusive partner if he hadn't done ut already. Especially after seeing his manipulative behavior in the reunion clip. Natalie dodged a bullet. Sometimes we can't see how the villains (Shaina in this case) may be there to save you from a desaster.
Howeeeever, I think he can be a good partner if he acknowledges his behavior and actively works to be better. The way he handled Shaina, was telling of his honest character.
Natalie and Deepti are both SO stunning. I especially loved the confidence and the way Deepti carried herself. I hope she finds her true love.

I feel like Shayne was really just desperate to bring some happiness to his family after their tragic loss. He made a decision to marry Natalie and wasn't going to change his mind. He was not ready to be married and i hope he see's that looking back.

My Mom recently got into LIB, and it was interesting to hear her perspective through the lens of a counselor. She said in terms of Shayne, it seems like he is a loving person but he has a LOT to work through. She also said in terms of Shake vs Shayne as to who find fans more intolerable, with Shake he thinks nothing is his fault whereas Shayne thinks everything is his fault, which is easier to deal with but still is a lot to work through. I partly wondered if some of Shayne's behavior might've had to do with his Dad passing away 2 months before the show, but only he knows cuz grief is personal. Not excusing what he did but it makes you think. I really hope Natalie is doing well and is thriving, she was the embodiment of grace and is very emotionally mature. She knew her self worth and chose herself at the end of the day which is something a lot of people can learn from. I really hope she's thriving and doing well. As for her and Shayne now, well we'll find out on Friday.
