Hi! I have watched this video countless times since last year and it never gets old! Thank you so much for sharing all your ideas it inspired me to make my own case from a DJ Hero case. I copied you and used the same vinyl on my case.
I love how you design it and it looks just like the more (much more!!!) expensive new "craft and go"...I love the vinyl adhesive u used, looks very cool and funky!! I cant wait to get one myself..
Hi! I've used it on grass, and it worked very well. You can also adjust the length of the legs individually so it sits level and stable on the ground. Hope this helps!
this is great! I'm going to try to make my own from scratch from a suit case. I have a condition that makes my bones brittle and my arms short so I need one that is very light and easy access to everything. my make up kit now is not. so I really love this!
Making Faces by Jemma It looks heavy...15lbs..without stuff I think...how many min walking alone with all supply do you think would be comfortable? If not this case what would be the best solution for someone walking a long ways and wants a chair and tall table?
LaurensDesigns It is quite heavy, but I wager it is lighter than most other kits out there. I'm okay walking with it for 5 minutes or so until my arm wants to drop off. But it is light enough for getting in and out of the car/public transport etc
HMM... Making Faces by Jemma I am debating on buying a cooler on wheels I saw recently..it should fit moth things..just have to test out if it will fit in my car and come in and out easy.. erp
Wow, I am absolutely amazed!!!!! I am a promotional specialist and my background is in early childhood edu. and I want to start face painting. You have gave me so many ideas I had never even thought of. I love the fact that it looks so professional and you have everything and you don't have to carry a lot of stuff around. I have never bought anything online but from what I seen you do with your kit I will def have to buy some stuff from online. Can you please give me a price rage that you bought your Hero kit, paints ect. O yea by the way I liked and subscribed!!!!!!
+kyasha Scott I found a DJ hero in the USA on Craigslist, a local website where people sell used things they no longer need.. where do you live? I was able to buy it for $20. I am in the process of taking it apart now. watching her video which is so helpful! wish me luck
ohh. I just got one. I love how you used the space where the legs are stored in. Yours is the only dj hero face paint kit video ;-( I absolutely need a little section with my fab paints that i am currently addicted to painting/ blending with..... Love this!
My case arrived this week! I love your case!! Thanks for the inspiration! It's all gutted and today I'm going to try to find that adhesive vinyl. Any suggestions on where to find it in the US anyone?
Also I saw the black water containers in Ikea but they have holes in the bottom:-/ it's a good idea to have the containers which hook onto the side of the case but how do you keep your water in them when they have holes in the bottom? X
Hi Jemma, thank you so much for the video. It is very informative. I did have a question about the tool clips. Are those the size clips you used that is in your link? Again great video and I appreciate it.
Can you share a few tips for me? How did you attach the lid? What type if hinges? Did you use screws..if yes, how did you make it so they didn't stick out with the thin walls? Also, are the legs attached with clips that just stick on or are those screwed on as well?
thank you for this helpful video. could you please explain how you attached the legs to the outside bottom of it? I see to used some sort of clip? where did you get them and how did you attach them? I'd appreciate your help. thanks again.
Thanks Mandy, this case is lovely and small and it also keeps you working tidily as there is nowhere to 'plonk' things. I would highly recommend this if you are quite handy and crafty (and have a Combi-drill!)
Making Faces by Jemma I made my other case facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.710011639030511.1073741861.566439750054368&type=3 I've had the dj hero sitting round for the past 6 months, will start on it tomorrow :)
Hi could you tell me where the metal that you attached to the piece of wood is from please? Also what lovely simmer colour that is which you have next to your black paint? Thank you and good video xxx
They come with the DJ Hero Renegade case. Normally they are tucked inside, but Jemma attached to the outside to access all the interior for face painting supplies (so smart!).
looking for the water containers any idea what there called? love your kit by the way just getting one together for my daughters birthday. She loves to practice face painting
GREAT idea, FANTASTIC kit you have. My only negative comment I have is to maybe keep your camera still on the whole kit when you are demonstrating it as it made me so dizzy watching it video move around everywhere. You have so very very talented and I absolutely love your idea and your kit. REALLY WELL DONE!!! :D
It is quite heavy! The empty box itself is very light weight, but once the legs are clipped on and filled with paints, it's got a fair bulk to it. I'm fine carrying it about for a little bit (from the car into venue) without any problems. I carry it in one hand, with my handbag over my shoulder and my chair in my other hand - so I can make just one trip when setting up. I wouldn't fancy walking longer than 5 minutes though xxx
Making Faces by Jemma thanks, I wonder if you could put it in a trolley (like those ones you take to food markets ) when you have to carry it a bit further ? r one of those collapsible trolleys.
+Making Faces by Jemma Thanks , I was also wondering . I've literally been dissecting your video, rewinding, pausing, trying to see how everything was put together. I love it, thank you
Emma Price Hi! Thanks for watching the video. These are laundry bags designed to put delicates in when machine washing. I got mine from my local village homeware store, however they are available most places - look in the laundry section by the clothes pegs, ironing boards etc. Here is an example from Amazon - www.amazon.co.uk/Dense-Delicate-Zipped-Laundry-Washing/dp/B00DNGR862/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432816125&sr=8-2&keywords=delicate+laundry+bags
Jenna Sosa i didn’t use screws, I used nuts and bolts to keep it secure. If you find it needs reinforcement you could try using some strong glue and MDF squares? x
Love this video- just got my case! I am curious though... Did you remove the DJ Hero logo off the top lid? If so, how? My husband says that has to go, but I haven't figured out how to remove it/sand it down. I don't want to cover it in anything. Thank you!
Hi Jemma, thanks so much for sharing :) Your video has been extremely helpful for me while converting my own box. I'm almost finished, so excited! I wanted to ask you, how did you attached the legs to the underside of your case? I have the clasps already, should I hot glue them on (unsure if it will be strong to enough to hold them) or screw them through (which poses the problem of the screws sticking up on the inside)? Thanks so much, Orla :)x
Sorry for the delay! I used very small nuts and bolts. The bolts are on the outside of the case, so the inside is still flat and smooth. I don't think hot glue would work x
Jemma, can you tell me what exactly the black water containers are called? I've been looking on Ikea's webpage but nothing is coming up. If you know the exact name, that would really help. Thanks so much.
Jemma, SO INSPIRED by your video...just purchased a dj hero case from ebay! So excited to create my DIY "CNG". ❤👍

Getting lots of inspiration here!! Thank you! ☺ Mine is half done at the moment x
such an awesome idea for a face painting case, i love it! thank you so much for the video!
Awesome! What a perfect kit!! It'd be so much fun with that kit, I'm excited to make it by myself. Thanks for the great video you made.

I love how you love upcycle in recycle that it made it to your version of the crafting go absolutely amazing and creative.
Vampcat 85 yes, I would love a craft n go but at the moment I don't have the budget :-)
Making Faces by Jemma LOVE THIS You r so handy! People would buy this from you with all the additives, which I think should be essential. XOXO L

Hi Jemma,
thank you so much for the video. It is very informative. I did have a question about the tool clips. Are those the size clips you used that is in your link? Again great video and I appreciate it.
For the tool grips for the legs, what size did you use?
sweetest set up I have seen!

HI Jemma! May I ask, what size tool clips you used to mount the legs?
Lovely, very practical! I can't wait to have my dj hero case
can u please tell me the size of the tool clamps u used? I clicked on the link and it's a few sizes coming up?
She mentioned in another comment that they are 32mm tool clips. Hope it helps.
thank you for this helpful video. could you please explain how you attached the legs to the outside bottom of it? I see to used some sort of clip? where did you get them and how did you attach them? I'd appreciate your help. thanks again.
where do you buy/find the metal (steal) and how do you get it cut to fix?
Awesome, fantastic job and thank you for adding all the links :) I have a guitar case and its impressive but too big
Thanks Mandy, this case is lovely and small and it also keeps you working tidily as there is nowhere to 'plonk' things. I would highly recommend this if you are quite handy and crafty (and have a Combi-drill!)

Ino this is an old post but where did you get your legs from please, or did they come with this case x
Hello Jemma, I love your Idea of using the Dj Hero case for your face painting kit, but I have a question were did you find the collapsible legs?
They come with the DJ Hero Renegade case. Normally they are tucked inside, but Jemma attached to the outside to access all the interior for face painting supplies (so smart!).
Yea, can you please tell me as well what size clips you used.

Hi
This looks great! We want to do something similar - can you tell me the internal dimensions of the case?
I love it!need to get me one of these cases!
Jay Face Keep your eyes peeled on Ebay or Gumtree :-)
Where did you get the chair?
Where you have bought the suitcase?

Brilliant idea - now I just have to wrestle my son's dj hero off him!
thebodyrtist Wow you have one in the house! You need to bribe it from him ASAP!
Neat set up .
I can't find that vinyl on ebay... any info on this?
Where did you get the clips for the legs?
Super cool setup , thanks for sharing! the question is....how heavy is it ?
It is quite heavy! The empty box itself is very light weight, but once the legs are clipped on and filled with paints, it's got a fair bulk to it. Hi! They are 32mm tool clips - fit perfectly!
+Making Faces by Jemma Thanks , I was also wondering . I've literally been dissecting your video, rewinding, pausing, trying to see how everything was put together. I love it, thank you
2 years on Jemma can you say how it held up, anything you'd do differently? About to embark on my own conversion x
Lorna Langton it’s great, I need to tighten my bolts often, and I have replaced the shelf with a lightweight foam board to make it lighter :-)
What size grips the to use
Where did you get the bags to keep your sponges in?

awesome loved watching the video, and thanks a million.
Great video!
Amanda Moody thank you very much, I'm very much a novice at this video making malarkey!
Do you ever need to cover your paints (specifically white & black liner) so wet ones don't leak if they haven't dried out before you need to pack up?
Hi Jenna!
After a long job my black and white do get gloopy, so I just make sure that I keep it laid flat until the paint has set again x
@@MakingFacesbyJemma did you need to re-enforce the case where you installed your hinges? How did the screws not go all the way through the case?
Jenna Sosa i didn’t use screws, I used nuts and bolts to keep it secure. If you find it needs reinforcement you could try using some strong glue and MDF squares? x
Love this video- just got my case! I am curious though... Did you remove the DJ Hero logo off the top lid? If so, how? My husband says that has to go, but I haven't figured out how to remove it/sand it down. I don't want to cover it in anything. Thank you!
Most people I know have covered it with a vinyl sticker with their business name on it!
Hey dear how are you how many price
جميل. من اين اشتري مثل هذه الحقيبة؟
Could you add wheels to this?

They are called Bygel - i filled in the holes at the bottom with a glue gun x
Hiya. What glue have you used to attach the Velcro please? I tried a few ones and nothing would stick on.

Making Faces by Jemma I will try it then. Thank you.
