Ohio native here as well. King's island is my home park (>40+ yrs) and I go up to Cedar Point at least once or twice a year.... You called it, Iron Gwazi is like Florida's Steel Vengeance... Iron Gwazi look likes a variation of Steel Vengeance, but w/ it's own unique twists (pun intended)... although shorter than Steve, IG is breaking several records! Go on Iron Gwazi!!!!

We’ve been on Steel Vengeance in Cedar Point, which is very similar, fantastic coaster.
_Iron Gwazi_ looks amazing! Being a fan of true thrill rides, I know that I would love it. My son Benjamin (13) agrees, and his sister Samantha (15) would definitely love it as well. _Iron Gwazi_ reminds us of _Steel Vengeance_ at *_Cedar Point_* (Sandusky, OH), also built by Rocky Mountain Construction. That 91° drop though...wow! Someday I hope to return to *_Busch Gardens_* and give it a go.

Rode both, Iron Gwazi takes the top spot for me. Been riding VelociCoaster since opening an noticing some rattle between train and track. Starting to effect the ride smoothness which was flawless in May around opening. Iron Gwazi just gives you more thrill and feels more speed and never lets up. The theming is what will keep people placing VelociCoaster in the talk but ride, both amazing, Iron Gwazi is the victor. Check out a long relished gem in Montu and never forget what that still does since 1996.

Absolutely, takes away from that sting ray smooth, but thats why I put Iron Gwazi above it. Keep riding Godzilla

Thanks for your report. This is my kind of ride. I cannot wait to get on it! So much so, that I changed my plans, and added days to my vacation to go ride this in 3 weeks, during passholder previews. It'll also let me get 2 more days use out of my Universal pass before it expires.
This has been my most anticipated coaster for 2 years lol!! Can't wait to ride it. Love RMC coasters, they are my faves for the most part. Ready to see if this one ranks higher than Steel Vengeance for me! Glad you didn't get sick! ~Dawn
Bring Nikki to Six Flags of Georgia. Twisted Cyclone is just a smaller version of this. 10 stores high first drop, 75 degree and goes 50 miles speed. I can't wait to go to Bush Gardens and try that one. I really need to plan a trip there for all of their coasters. WOW Thanks for the preview, so glad that they invited you!!! How awesome.

One of the comments that I'm enjoying hearing the most about Iron Gwazi is that it is so smooth! and a second is that IG is relentless from start to finish.... I CANNOT WAIT TO RIDE!!!

I just rode it and think it’s actually the best in the world. It lived up to the hype for me.
I have ridden a lot of coasters in my life and I got to be honest, this was one of the best, most intense, scariest coasters I have been on….I absolutely love it !!!!

Going to Universal and Islands of Adventure in early April, then Busch Gardens Tampa late April or early May....That will be 3 brand new epic coasters that I haven't ridden: Velocicoster, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and Iron Gwazi!!!!

Rick you need to check out X2 at Magic Mountain......and Twisted Collosus which was originally wooden and presented on the original "National Lampoon's Vacation" at Wally world a snow that dame coaster is a hybrid and it's incredible....can't wait to have iron gwazi a few hours away now
Hey, on Monday morning I was at universal for the first time in 4 years and I had saw you as I was walking out of Jurassic park, I was to scared to go up to you though
I have to ride this one. Steel Vengeance is my favorite coaster and I gotta see if this is better. This ride looks like it has the better drop and it has a death roll and wave turns. But Steve looks like a more complete package and it’s very important in my life.

I rode this beast for the first time ever today. Absolutely 110% worth the long wait.

Riding any coaster several times in a row your body will feel a need to vomit! Spreading out the ride time between rides helps resolve the feeling. But yes any coastal the front seat is the best seat on the ride!!

Twisted Colossus looks to be better I think they took away from the drop by adding the twist at the bottom.
It does not feel like a twisted drop at all, in the back it is straight ejector all the way down. Seems like the general consensus is this has the best drop on any RMC besides maybe Iron Rattler.

My personal opinion its a fantastic coaster but I am really not that blow away with it. I am really surprised on how short it really it is. With coasters like Zadra and Steel Vengeance I really wasn't expecting that much from this coaster. When it comes to breaking records I think its pointless by doing it by just a foot you really can't tell the hight difference between this and Steel Vengeance. Now if they would have went maybe 220 or 230 or maybe even 250 they would have had something to talk about then and only then would have taken the record from Son of Beast the original hyper woodie. The coaster community is just hyped over this because it took them 4 years to ride no more no less.

Yeah I’m kind of confused myself because I’m thinking it has 3. After the first inversion I thought the ride went through a cutback? Some people saying it’s a over banked turn but I read somewhere that it’s a cutback. Not sure what to believe lol
I doubt it was because you road twice in a row. Back row is downright violent by all accounts.
