  • In this segment of Jonesie covers "Mini" Jetting Hoses including the advantage of 3/16-inch (0.188" I.D.) hoses vs. 1/8"-inch (0.125" I.D.), and the differences between Stainless-Braid Hoses vs. jacketed hoses
    FYI: Hose-sizes are determined by its INSIDE-diameter ("I.D.") NOT its outside-diameter ("O.D.")

Hi Steve, I would like more information on to get into this business

Just ordered the bronze hose yesterday with the stainless steel knuckle/down head. Looking forward to trying them both out! Lots of jack/jill sinks with a pvc cross behind the wall. I've been typically going down the vent stack from the attic to clear the line from A/C condensate buildup, so really looking forward to seeing if the down head nozzle helps out.

Curious how you faired with the hose and the steel knuckle? I have placed an order, but it seems like it is taking forever to get to me. Curious who you ordered from and if you have any tips that would be helpful?

@@andrewnewton2223 Hey bud, more than happy to share my experience. The brass hose is the best hose I've tried. It's stiff, but flexible. Can't say enough good things about it.
The steel knuckle/drop head was not as useful as I was hoping. I tried it on my home on two different sinks, but I could not get my hose to make the jump without removing the p-trap. Most of the homes I work with have a 1.5" pvc tubular drain, so maybe that is the issue. Would I buy it again? I'm sure there are some situations it would be useful, so it's a good tool to have. Maybe your area you would have better luck in, especially if they use full size DWV traps under the sinks.
Even though I feel jetting is the best cleaning method possible, it is just too much of a hassle to use indoors on kitchens or bathroom sinks. I use the Ridgid K-9 for majority of my residential work now. I sold off my old Spartan Gas Cart Jetter (4 GPM/4000 PSI) and would love to eventually buy a vehicle mounted Big Brute (9 GPM/4000 PSI) from JNW down the road.
      Hope this helps.
