What will now happen to the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India which are prime minister's flagship programs BTW .... what plagues our bureaucracy for taking decisions and why they don't have the spine as if they are worried about their jobs rather than taking decisions which are critical for countries defence and security and take them fast .... All these questions are very important .... MFs are wasting our time and resources .... 🙏 ....
The government can allow the Indian Air force to choose the top 10 fighters across the globe which produces. Based on tactical requirements and as per neighbour's strategic operational dilemma they have to choose a variety of versions of aircraft. They must consider the below: Air superiority Multi Role All weather bird Twin Jet Engine More hard points Extensive Radar Technology Air to Air Air to ground fire capability Trainer jets can be avoided since HTT 40 is almost ready for induction. The deal must allow to obtain technology transfer agreement and license to build domestically to avoid unnecessary expenses. Multi Missile Carrying capabilities. Compatibility. This time IAF must choose 10% of powerful brands from each brand. Hope India signs deal as per the fighter pilots requirements to counter Air fight which should be user friendly and agile. 😊
It's time we bring the Tedbf or orca projects that were put in the backburner and build our own fighter aircraft instead of being subjected to restrictions in international supply chains . Fourth generation fighters will be required even in the future so it's better we build it ourselves and only look for the engine like the AMCA as such a large project will even give an impetus to our msmes
Dassault has an order book of 180+ Fighter jets with a production capacity of less than 20 jets in a year. Even if we order today the wait will be for 9 years. Thats a practical problem. Maybe put in a formal request for the F35 becuz in that case the delay will be worth it.
Either its going to be Rafale or Eurofighter Typhoon you bet... Sorry to say this but IAF needs way more than just 114 fighters we need home built n produced Tejas Mk2 AMCA 5th n later 6th n 7th Generation Stealth fighters
Rafale and Eurofighter are Airbus, F-15 and F-18 are Boeing. So you can’t have those two, only support aircraft that can come out of this is F-21 because that’s made by Lockheed.
Govt should go for our own ORCA IAF version of navy aircraft..It will take 10 years from now for foreign vendors to supply their outdated aircrafts at exorbitant price
Nothing has changed since 70 years. Our glacial pace of acquisitions. Sadly the armed forces suffer. This has become a joke. Our adversaries are modernizing at a fast rate, let some aircraft come atleast for the IAF

after 30 yrs of starting its back to to starting point
The government can allow the Indian Air force to choose the top 10 fighters across the globe which produces.
Based on tactical requirements and as per neighbour's strategic operational dilemma they have to choose a variety of versions of aircraft.
They must consider the below:
Air superiority
Multi Role
All weather bird
Twin Jet Engine
More hard points
Extensive Radar Technology
Air to Air
Air to ground fire capability
Trainer jets can be avoided since HTT 40 is almost ready for induction.
Fourth generation fighters will be required even in the future so it's better we build it ourselves and only look for the engine like the AMCA as such a large project will even give an impetus to our msmes
that would be best for india, but not enough cickbackdollars for politicians, burocrats and generals.
I think Indian airforce should forget about the fighters and concentrate on Drones
Air Marshal Sir's scary words.. 1000 5th generation aircraft with Chinese Air Force by 2035..... 😱😱😱😱😱
India should buy a few of each and will have the best airforce. No weaknesses if you own them all.
Are u brain-dead?have u ever heard logistics and spares?
Brain dead is the right username😊
Rafale and Eurofighter are Airbus, F-15 and F-18 are Boeing. So you can’t have those two, only support aircraft that can come out of this is F-21 because that’s made by Lockheed.
We have brainless politicians!
corrupt
Mod should be serious on this. Not like the previous one, and wasting time.
There are new plane coming tejas mk1 mk2 and amca there is little engine issue will be solved.
They are many fighter jets is coming tejas mk1 mk2 amca their is engine issue will be resolved .
This is hilariously amusing that since a decade the government is not able to finalise a fighter jet deal which is quintessential for the Indian Air Force to maintain operational readiness vis-a-vis it's competitors Pakistan & China..
Indian are in search of these 114 fighter jets from 20 years....
We need 55 squadrons ..not 42. The number 42 is an 1980's concept
western region and South east asia and borders are alarming ...we seems to waking up now!!. we just can't accept such an mismanaged Governance issue from Govt. Defense and Country security is at most important. Need of the hour is Robots(500) + long and mid range security surveillance systems+ anti missile deference mechanisms like IRON drome( 4 sides with 3 layered approach ) ?? + high tech Drone launchers ( min 400) + Ground to air and Ground to Ground missiles( types min 6 to 10 types of missiles with range of 200kms to 500kms to 1000 kms to 300kms to 7000kms) + EMP protection systems + submarines( min 50 ) + war ships ( min 100) ..+ new tech 5th gen fleet - min 150 to 200.... this is what is need of hour.
Hasn't the Airforce already identify what it needs? Do A G to G deal? And what is the 2.0 for? None of these are 5th generation fighter
Cant we restart production of locally made su30 upgraded version ..no lag in production..known platform with low lifecycle le costs..
This can be a stop gap til tejas mk2 / amca comes online ? Maybe add abt 36 su57 and modern su 35+ upgrade option.
Of course we go with114 mrfa deal but for it to come into full production impact min 3/5 yrs.
A combo of su30 / tejas ..made in india will add the strength...
A procurement deal which will take another 20 years like the MMRCA
I just heard the deal will be signed on the day Salman khan gets married.
The contest is really between Rafale and F15ex. IAF won’t go for a U.S. plane so Rafale is default choice.
Is AMCA not good enough?
AMCA is still 8-9 yrs from mass production
From 20 yrs Mrfa jokes is going on both from IAf and government.Even IAF don't know what to do,MrFa tender will be go on till 2060 😢😢😢
Go for the F15 ex. Or Gripen
Rafale production Line if fully booked with current orders, So virtually ruled out...
According to my perception India should make 114 SU 57 in its arsenal which will be less expensive than rafale and India should get 5th generation infrastructure before AMCA, which may help IAF in bringing modifications in AMCA
India badly needs some 5th Gen like su 57
Su 57 is not a good fighter jet. Not stealthy
Mother... this has become grandmother now😅😅
The boy who cried wolf...no takers of this MoAD. Atmanirbartha? Thats for Indian citizens
India needs deep collaboration with Napal . Avoid relation any Muslim nation. India need to follow china policy , solve any internal or external problem.
Just buy rafales and fast. French indian co-operation is trusted and enduring. Nonsense of tendering will only increase cost and increase shortages. And why unnecessarily increase the variety of planes in indian arsenal? Drag on logistics.
Why not 5th generation in new open tender????or upgrade version????
Frankly we don’t have much of an air force left … new air chief said he’s living his dream after becoming the chief … with around 12 squadrons less , jaguars antiquated … what is he leading ? Nothing much … Air Force folks seem so worried and rightly so … are politicians and defense secretary sleeping ? ?????
India really should get those fighters from Russia. Sukhoi SU-57 fighters
Dear All, earlier during previous regime when govt wanted to buy fighter planes or war machinery people from agents to govt officials to contractors , especially press used to make lot of money under the table. Everything has been stopped now so do not heed to rumours pl
