If the Fever gets Satou Sabali, Sabrina Ionescu, Kelsey Plum, Howard and maintain Mitchell with the mainstay Caitlin, Aaliyah and Leslie Hull... WOW what a formidable team and sure to get the championship not only once but for as long as they liked.
The Fever needs to keep Mitchell. Period. The Fever also needs to find out what the WNBA is doing to field experienced, knowledgeable, principled referees for the 2025 year. What is Kathy Engelbert doing to legitimize the WNBA refereeing? There should never be another year when one player out of 144 is charged with 17% of the games fouls.
Lexie isn’t really needing to be protected. She is truly more of a 6th player. They need 2 more stars to start. Lexie coming off the bench in key situations.
Kelsey played 6 yrs at Indiana BC (before Clark) and gained aprox $1M in net worth largely through endorsements. This past year the rest of the world has discovered KM and her value has only increased by bounds. As a business woman she'd be better off sticking at the FEVER, even playing for free, than to risk moving to an unknown. WNBA salaries are a relative nothing burger, eyes on, priceless.
They have Erica Wheeler as a backup guard. She has done well filling her role. I love the core of CC, KM, AB, LH, TF, and EW. I haven't seen much of Saxton, Wallace, Samuelson, and Berger. NaLyssa Smith was pretty inconsistent and seems to have a conflict playing against her girlfriend. Just my two cents.
E. Wheeler is on a max contract so unless she agrees to take less money I don’t see her with the team next season. Would like to see her sign for less money and stay though.

Yeah absolutely CC is the best player in the team. And if CC was a free agent, then she would get the "core player" designation. However CC is still signed until 2027 so they Fever will use their Core designation this year to offer Kelsey a max contract and get her back home. And agree, without CC, Kelsey wouldnt shine as bright
Great question! Unfortunately you got that info by watching one of those unscrupulous channels that were spreading lies about CC and the WNBA and proving their claims via badly photoshopped pictures. She has never gone to Europe, she's been clear that she wont play basketball in the offseason - opting to focus on friends, family, and golf. All her and the Fever's social media also show she's in the US having a great time. Just yesterday she was playing Golf in Florida. Other outrageous things those channels came up with are 1) Caitlin signing with Adidas (she has an 8 year deal with Nike), 2) Elon Musk starting a rival league (Elon Musk doesnt care about basketball), and 3) all the allegations about performance enhancers.
What is currently known is 1) Satou is a free agent - and she has openly declared she will be a free agent, 2) She has, at multiple times, expressed her admiration for the Fever and Caitlin Clark, 3) She has started liking posts about her joining the Fever, 4) New Fever GM (Amber Cox) was her old boss. Sounds like Satou to us :) As I said, likely she will be offered a max contract by the Fever - they can afford it and completely makes sense. She's definitely an upgrade from NaLyssa Smith!

I've recently started watching WNBA and see tremendous talent in Kelsey. She's an absolute keeper for the Fever team!!
