on the subject of gradients, when I make a shape and gradient fill it, if I try to move the shape, the gradient does NOT move with it..weird. Iif I copy it and paste, same thing. this happens when I make the shape a path too..help! I have the latest version

Did you turn on the "Move gradients (in fill or stroke) along with the objects"?
