With all due respect, this Imam rambled a lot without getting to the root of her question(s). The proof for the existence of God is simple: things cannot come from nothing - chaos does not produce order - morality cannot be subjective.
Once you realize there is a "source" of creation and an "unseen", it becomes a 'leap' of faith for how to live a life that reflects your belief in the Creator - some of it is innate thank God, other aspects are taught to us by messengers sent by the Merciful (for our own benefit).
If you believe the honest messengers (to your best judgement) and by extension the message - which is claimed to be from the Lord - everything else falls in place.
If you are on the fence, really reflecting on these things then already you are on the right path - pray for guidance. If you don't believe in anything you are blinding and hurting yourself and potentially others - you will be vulnerable to your own wims and to manipulation by others. You are also free to disbelieve - but you bare the consequences of rejecting truth (out of greed, laziness, lust, etc..) - especially if you don't seek repentance.
Beyond that, what are the consequences? how and why does God punish? Why does Evil / temptation exist, etc... and other deep questions about life and afterlife - even if there are some plausible explanations/assumptions - the only true answer is to trust God.
Simple, the proof is, He encountered people from Adam Eve, Cain, Noah, Abraham Sarah, Hagar Ishmael, Isaac Jacob Moses etc. He came in the flesh as Jesus, destroyed death for mankind by His Resurrection to give us His Life for eternity
His tomb is EMPTY.

Consider Jesus Christ as the only true Messiah
Mark 13:21-23 clearly states Mohammad is a fake prophet why would you follow this Christo Judaic Hersey as it was known in its beginning
Note the Scriptures say to test the Spirit. (1 John 4)
"Test the Spirits
4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God."
The Qur'an is very specific that Jesus was the Christ, come in the flesh. You are therefore defeated in your argument and should have a rethink especially considering what John the Baptist was also asked when He was asked if He was the Christ. Those passages speak of a Prophet (PBUH) who would come like unto Moses (PBUH) and about whom ALL would be questioned. Judaism is still waiting for THAT Prophet (PBUH). To fulfill the promise made to Hagar (MABPWH) THAT Prophet (PBUH) could only be Muhammad (SAW). That is all anyone needs to know for their own benefit. Dear brother, please have a rethink. I'd like to make a point to the interesting question.
Nobody has ever come back after death. But is this not the whole point of the 'test'. Everything we are given and shown in this life is evidence of the ultimate. Our very creation, reflecting on the cosmos, on nature, on our ownselves. What has been conveyed by the messengers and what is in the Quran. This is clearly enough evidence, In fact overwhelming. If all this doesn't convince you then either we are being irrational and illogical, or of those who will not believe, regardless. So this forms the basis of faith, and will not only shape our concept of our purpose in life, but also influence the way we conduct ourselves, our characteristics and personality, and be the basis of our morals and values.

It’s Crystal clear in our Qur’aan that we believe. There are Do and Don’t. If we do what God Almighty the Creator told us to do and follow his last revelation, his last Prophet CSW and messenger Mohammed.That is how we know we are the Right path to heaven or Jannah some verses in the Qur’aan are giving us grantee as well if you do this you will go to jannah and will be joining our beloved prophet CSW and his companion insha Allah God willing. Do good. Be positive and hope good things from God. God said I will be what my servant is expecting Good or bad cuz the person knows better to him/her self good, so so or bad. Let all hope good and make us easy to follow all rules.

MashaAllah Mr Shafi is spot on bcoz majority of Islaamic scholars believe that our physical bodies(mud n water as per the Quraan)n Soul-Spirit (Ruhh in arabic) r complete opposite of each other. Soul-Spirit is the gift of consciousness-intellect(criteria to judge between right-wrong,good-bad).
Obviously this varies from individual to individual to a certain degree like almost all other faculties but one will be accountable for the amount of energy-resources of every type bestowed upon the individual by the Creator-God as to whether one tried to utilize one's energy-abilities-resources in line with the 'Devine Guidance' or not !!

The conversation going a bit everywhere. I would suggest tackling her believe in the existence of a creator first by going through the necessary requirements proving that. ام خلقو من أيِّ شيإا ام هم الحاليون
Then rather than go off in infinite conjectures, go through the existing religious propositions by quickly refuting the outliers and dealing with the major ones in details especially the ones that you identify as being the one she inclines to the most. Once all are exhausted, Islam can then be explained in a way that would be comparative to what you already exposed to her of the disqualifying traits of the other religion.
The methodology can be effective as it builds up a train of thought that leaves her better equipped the next time around to ask more specific questions that would be resulting from her pondering of the answers provided by Islam.
Keeping in mind that
“You don’t guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills”.
It is a process, and not all end up benefiting. Dua , dua dua.

There are people in Islam, like scholars , or friends of Allah, we say waliyyullah. They have no possibility to tell lies. They never lie to people. Their eye of the heart is open, we say, they can seen more than we see, for ex they can observe th3 situations of the people under graves... They tell us what they see and we believe them. Before them, our Prophet also had told us in his Hadith , how the situation in the Paradise and Hell and many other unable to seen things are told us by our Prophet who is informed by God, Allah.. ❤
