Dear brother... you are not a revert... in Islam, everyone is born a Muslim... the only difference is that some are born in a Muslim family and some are not... but in the end.. Everyone is born a Muslim... you are a revert to Islam... it really tickles me with people who use the word "convert"... you can convert to other religions, but you revert to Islam...take care.. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Be dutiful to your mother, as Paradise is at her foot.”, meaning be dutiful to her, obey her, and serve her and take care of her because being kind and dutiful to the parents and pleasing them is a reason of being admitted to Paradise. However, this does not apply to Muslim mothers only. Indeed, Allaah ordered us to be kind and dutiful to our parents even if they are non-Muslims.

I never seen my brain, don't know exactly how it looks like, how much it weights, ... but I believe 100% I have a brain as I have the required functions, characteristics and descriptions of the person who has a brain.
Same goes about my tender heart, never seen it, never ..., but I feel it in my chest and seen my blood pumped out of cuts in my body...
Islam is about ONE or a ZERO no gray... every time I have been asking about other religions I come across an incident where the other party said: don't look for errors, this is a small error and there are many correct ones... The true God must be perefect and so is his true religion... Look how perefect is the whole universe since millions of years, earth, every single creations all the way to atomes and what makes those zillions of zillions of atoms.
Religion must be perfect, easy to understand and crasp, yes it will take years of study to learn a major part of its contents, detaild rules, sciences, ... but It must be easy to understand enough to crasp it, believe in it and more importsntly:
