Lol, yup. Actually, most pentaholics can identify roughly what year the video is from based on Kirstie and Mitch hair and wardrobe for nearly all of them. They used a lot of the same stuff from the sing off in the beginning. I watched another reactor much earlier this morning with someone that I used to know, and Kevin was wearing a sweater that he wore during the filming of the sing off. Not the performance wardrobe, but his personal clothing.

Mitch looks short when he’s standing next to the other guys and he doesn’t wear shoes with heels, I prefer him that way, then he looks short and adorable

I’m jealous. I tried to get it but my Apple Pay situation was weird and I’m too much of a boomer to fix it (and I didn’t want to ask hubby how to fix it cause then he’d know I was buying it haha). But at least I figured it out enough to get my Pentaholic hat.

I prefer only using my own personal credit card and interacting with the person I am paying. Safer for me.

@@adam.4487 I was able to pay for patreon with my regular debit card. My issue with the merch is more because we have a family plan for RUclips premium and all purchases have to made out of a specific account but my husband has that card. I think I made the hat purchase before we were in the family plan.

Yeah, Mitch's abilities can be a problem, but only to his competition, they're a gift for the rest of us. I loved Kevin's beat-boxing in this as well.

Since you like live versions you should check out when they performed this on a radio station. Good sound and they actually got the mic balance right. If you want look up pentatonix problem live. It's on the youtube channel 3FM Live Box.
I had to come back and say thank you so much for this recommendation. Holy shit that was so good.
They got Avi's bass & Kevin's beats perfectly balanced, Scott's falsetto was fire (as was his confusion at the beginning with not understanding the language lol), and Mitch's rap was...🤯🤯, even better than the studio version (I imagine at that point they'd performed it a fair amount, so he had the pacing just right in the sweet spot) and his bouncing as he went on. Goddammit just when I think they can't get better I see something like that.
@@hawkeyescoffee6399 it really is so good. I too was laughing at Scott's face when they were announcing them. I think Mitch's rap flows better here because they slowed the whole song down a tiny bit from their studio version. Their recorded version is faster than Ariana and Iggy's orginal. So he had to rap that much faster. Probably after performing it live they figured it would be better slowwd down a bit. I keep this performance in mind anytime someone tells me they can't replicate their songs live. They're usually better.

That was just flat out mind-blowing. I've always enjoyed their version of this, especially Mitch's rap portion, which usually just cracks me up. But I also noticed something for the first time in this - starting at around 2:20, Kevin's beat-boxing contains actual WORDS - at least, recognizable fragments of words. I'm sure he does this elsewhere, too, but I'd never before actually been able to see/hear it happening. I'm agog!

I agree with another reactor that said his favorite PTX video/song is the one he's listening to at that moment. I saw this live on one of the PTXperience videos, 2014 or 2015, and it was so good.
First time I heard this one (years ago) I rewound Mitch’s part like five times! Something else I’m impressed by is this song shows Scott’s range, his falsetto is ridiculous in this, then you hear his deep voice in Sound of Silence.
You can’t say this is your favorite until you’ve heard their covers of Mary did you know and imagine. Those two are haunting and amazing and bone chilling and beautiful! It’s like you get smacked with a wall of sound! Love love love your reactions! 😆
As I’ve stated before, one of the 1st signs of Pentaholicism is saying repeatedly “This is my favorite” after numerous PTX songs🤪🤪🤪

No, Scott, at about 6'4" (should be about 6'7" without his scoliosis), is a lot taller than you thought and Kevin is 6'1". Avi is about 5'11"

I honestly think that's why ptx's video numbers don't do as well as they used to. As fans we used to watch their videos over and over again on their own channel but now we watch it once there and then watch the videos over and over again on reactors channels. Ptx reactors have gotten very popular are very big nowadays with most getting thousands of views. Probably why SME puts out strikes all the time. I'm guilty of it. I rarely go back to their channel to watch again since I've usually seen the video so many times with reactors.
Mitch really told us, that's for sure.
When it comes to the difference between Avi & Matt's bass, I off how _feel_ (especially in something like this) them... Avi's is heavy and ice cold, makes me shiver like someone ran cold fingers down my spine and hard enough to rock my core, where Matt's is rich and warm, it wraps around you like being wrapped in a warm blanket... but it doesn't make me feel like someone is shaking the earth under me the Avi's does.
Mitch says he's 5'10" (he said one of the things he wished people knew about him was that he's not short it's just because he's next to the giant that is Scott), but the cm translate to nearer 5'9.5", I believe Avi and Kevin are both 5'11" (although KO's tends to vary depending on source lol), Kirstie is 5'4" and Scott is 6'3.5"
Kevin is 6'1. That's why he appears taller than Avi. I do believe Mitch is 5'10. He and his friend Austin discussed it on his podcast. Austin said he himself is 5'9 and they both agreed that Mitch is taller than Austin at 5'10.

Matt recently said he was 6'1. Standing next to Scott he seems shorter.
Google says Avi is 5'11 and Mitch 5'10 Don't know how accurate this is since they both seem shorter than what google says.
Kirstie is listed as 5'4" but a lot of people that have met her says she is shorter. And people who have met Scott say he is ridiculously tall!😅

From their bios (ages ago). Scott 6'3", Kevin 6'0", Mitch 5'10" (although I think that's a stretch), Avi 5'9" and Kirstie 5'2" (although I've seen 5'4" a couple of places). Mitch and Kirstie master the heels.
I don't think those are quite correct. Mitch has said 5'10". Kevin's height I have never seen noted but he seems closer to Scott. Scott has been listed at 6'3" or 6'4" in many things. Kirstie at 5'2" and Avi is noted at 5'11" in his Wikipedia listing.
Yes, when you stand next to Avi you can tell he's right at 6 foot

Avi, at 5'11" is taller than Mitch by an inch, but both Mitch and Kirstie always wear shoes with heels that are between 2 & 6 inches, so they often look taller than Avi.

Yeah, our lovely Mr. Kaplan is not much taller than Mitch, but Kevin and Scott are very tall so it's not a fair comparison to the rest of everyone. Personally I don't mind if he's a bit on the vertically challenged side. Being 4foot 10inches myself anything over five feet is a tall guy. Kirsty knows where I'm coming from. She risks her ankles every day in those platform shoes just to make five feet.

Kirstin's heels in that video are a lot higher than 4". Maybe the heels themselves are 4", but those are platform shoes with a whole lot of height underneath the balls of her feet.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anybody react to it and it’s FANTASTIC. They’re on a Dutch radio station and perform 3 songs (Problem (even better live!!!), La La Latch, and On My Way Home. All freaking fantastic!!! I’d love to see your reaction, but some of the chatter is in Dutch . But if you want to try reacting to just the songs, here are the times:

Mitch is 5'10" and Avi (you are right) is around 5'8". Scott is 6'3", Kevin is 6'1" and Matt is 6'. Kirstie is 5'3" and doesn't like being that short, so that is why she always looks taller, because she always wears shoes to boost up her height. I really like this one, especially Mitch's rap. And I don't even like rap!!!! in general. I like Mitch's last word in the rap. What a look! So glad you survived.
Avi is 5’11”. Mitch often looks taller because he wears heels. If you see videos of Mitch in flats, he’s definitely shorter than Avi.

I don't like the new video cover in this one and in the other one because now you just can't see anything it's like listening to the radio it's not a reaction anymore (in my opinion) and because of that reason, I did not finish watching it. I don't like it anymore sorry. I know it's hard with youtube but maybe blur it or put something over it but so you still see something maybe, or not it's your channel, it's just a little sad I used to like your reactions a lot. so I guess it's just me who misses out. wish you all the luck with the channel though x

@@SauceyDad I know it's tough with the copywriting but there are a lot of people who react to ptx and they don't all cover the videos fully as I said mostly with blurring or putting words over the video. but I also understand that that may be too much trouble for just a reaction video, what do I know right. I know most people don't mind it and honestly, most of the time I don't mind either but when it gets fully covered is where I draw the line I can't see what you see I can't see what exactly you're reacting to I can only hear by sound and have to guess, and that's where it stops being fun for me. but it's good that most people did like it. I guess it's just me then. that's oke too. I might still check out the occasionally live performance if they aren't covered I do wish you all luck though. x
