- Alpina Bahn is a large steel roller coaster that travels German fairs, appearing at many major festivals each year. It was designed by Werner Stengel and Anton Schwarzkopf and is still the second largest travelling roller coaster in the world. It has no inversions, but instead contains tight turns and high g-force transitions. It first opened in 1983. Video features a full front seat POV filmed at the Hamburg Sommer Dom in 2004 as part of the European Coaster Club's Colossal Coasters Tour of that year.

After riding All American Triple Loop, I’m now obsessed with these portable Schwarzkopfs. Though this one doesn’t have the loops, it still looks like it’s great fun.
Indeed - this one is intense and fun...and proves a good ride doesn't need inversions
It’s amazing how much ride they packed into a tiny footprint.
Indeed - compact but super fun and intense
It's huge
Schwarzkopf Knew How To Make Great Coasters :)
Just Sucks They Aren't Around Anymore :'(.....
