Yard looks great! I'm an emerald zoysia guy myself. Recently I went to my local sod provider - Super Sod, and they no longer carry emerald : (
Not sure why. Will have to do my backyard with Zenith instead.
Zeon zoysia from Super Sod would be a much better match to Emerald.
Theres a sod farm here north of Panama city that sells the emerald
Is this also a cool season grass?

i just laid new zoysia emerald SOD
31 st March , i live in N Ftw
was advised to watered it 9pm and 5am 15 min each twice a day for 2 weeks , than after 2 weeks
water only 1 time per day 20 min
and was advised next spring/march
to throw weed and feed
are they correct ?
but not sure what type of feed to spread !

Emarald Zoysia only available in sod :) coz it's a hybrid grass. now is the right time to get them install

Hello Vic I've been watching all your vids very informative I'm also subscribed and I'm gonna be purchasing ZENITH ZOYSIA I believe have until spring to decide I'm in ZONE 7A, NEW JERSEY and my question is if I lay the SOD down early say March in my area the soil temps still not perfect for ZOYSIA so my question is will the SOD DIE or it will be fine to lay down I'm trying to educate myself best I can before this huge investment so how ever you ca help well appreciated thanks
GRASSTHIEF Thank you! In my zone 8A early April is the best time. I think mid April or early May for zone 7A. The sod shop would be the best person to check with! If too cold they usually won’t harvest it at the first place. Usually sod comes in green (not dormant). Zenith Zoysia can be grown by seed too.
GRASSTHIEF I think the sod might die in very cold temp , for example frost, since the root isn’t grown deep in ground yet

hmm. in short, use a reel mower, irrigate when soil is dry (screwdriver test), recommending sprinkler nozzle as it provide the best coverage at lower price
Hey I just installed new zoysia emerald sod. Which fertilizer do you recommend?
ahmedsi hi what’s your location ?
ahmedsi new sod doesn’t need fertilizer until it fully rooted (roughly a month later), it’s autumn now so don’t fertilize coz when temperature is cool fertilizer is going to cause disease and ruin the grass.
ahmedsi you can use a any type of fertilizer at end of spring. Use something 10-10-10, don’t go with higher number ratio as it’s hard to distribute evenly across. Pls refer to the fertilizing video on how to calculate how many pounds of fertilizer to put on.
