I think of my friend that was like a sister to me. She hasn't been online in 4 years... we used to play games together everyday after school. We'd wait for another to get on then start messing around lol. Our friendship was perfect our personalities complimented eachother. There wasn't a day she didn't make me laugh. But perfect doesn't last... she was depressed I knew that... I tried to help her... then one day she said she was quitting for awhile to take a break... I didn't realize that was the last summer together.
Oh my, that sounds terrible. I can never keep the same friends, by the end of the year It's just me and my siblings, everyone I knew just no longer exist. So I understand how you feel-ish, I wish for your friend to get better. Hopefully she can still do that.

I always end up having to leave my friends. No matter how close we get. And I always end up hurting their feelings as I leave. I wish I could go back. Guess you could say in stuck in time, not willing to go forward because I know no matter how good it will get, there will always be a bad ending.

I thought my life was becoming 'perfect'... For almost 7 years I had a best friend who saved me multiple times before... He was just a dog in others' eyes but to me he was my hero, a friend who would listen to me when I needed someone to talk to, he was the one to cheer me up when I had a bad day, and I loved him alot... Almost every day I'd tell him i loved him... I would make sure he was safe when he went outside... I would even spend 99% of my free time with him... I always made sure he was fed before I was... I always saved him a leftover from my meal like macaroni and cheese or some kind of meat... So that he could enjoy the food my mom made... He was always happy around me... He was a brown Pomeranian named Toby.... I thought my life was becoming 'perfect' but Toby became very very old and ended up dying due to old age... I thought that we would have more time together... I thought that if I became rich we would live in a mansion together and he'd get his own room with a doggy door so that he would be able to leave if he wanted.... I thought that we would be together 'forever'.... It was a 'perfect' almost 7 years in my eyes....

When I was nine, my dog had been less than 5-6 years old then. She, a troublemaker and a leader, led my other dog out of our backyard and they found their way over to a busy highway. She was dead before she even got to the veterinary clinic. My other dog was fine, and was returned to my family unscathed. A couple years later, last year in fact, he developed cancer nearby his liver and it grew while my family and I were unaware. He was a golden pyr, and golden retrievers were known for cancer complications. The tumor had swelled to the size of a grapefruit when the vet finally check him out. Surgery wouldn't be able to remove it. After I had a moment with him, I was forced to leave. My mom and dad stayed at the clinic to be by his side as he was.. euthanized.. and she passed out afterwards. I still haven't quite healed from either of those dogs. I loved them very much, even though he was aloof and unaffectionate and she was rebellious and too adventurous for her own good. Sometimes I have dreams of them. At least I got to say a proper goodbye to one of them.
I had a similiar experience with a Jack Russel. He died a few or so years ago. I think I was 7, or about to be/just turned 8. My mom didn't tell me until Friday when we had a friend over. He died Monday, more like Tuesday early morning. His name was Hank and he was there before I was born but he lived a good while. Unfortnutly that's when I had to learn how cruel the world really was. Before that, my life really was 'perfect' and I was super happy. Now I wear a mask of lies and deceit. I barely remember him now... I know it's stupid being deppressed over a dog, but he was my BEST friend. No matter what he did, I loved him so much. He always bit my dad's ankles because he thought he was hurting my mom, he wasn't. He did it so much, he was forced to live outside. I still visited him...he was supposed to come back in the house before he died. He never got his second chance....

i was in a relationship with this person..we were like a perfect couple.. it truly was like a fairy tale.. but then, our flaws started showing more and more. It was good at first because we accepted eachother's flaws and fought through obstacles together.. I thought we were invincible.. But now everything is like a blur.. Our problems worsen and we couldn't take it.. I decided to end the relationship..more like forced to... because I saw how much the person I love the most is hurting being with me... i noticed that he wasn't even happy with me anymore.. So we broke up. My heart shattered becayse I still love the person very much... but as I saw that person moving on... he was smiling again...without me beside him. So now, I'm just supporting him and hoping he'll stay happy. And I also realized that our "perfect" relationship wasnt so perfect... but if you see that person you love the most being happy...with or without me... I'll be happy just seeing him happy.
Happyness start with you. I can relate and yes perfect never last. If u love someone truely and had to let them go is the sadd's est thing you could ever do. Maybe somday some year it might just ment to be. Faith works in a cruel way. But if its ment to be it will always comes back.
I will give you a suggestion to you that the same words you have written say face to face to him it will be gives some happiness to you or he will come back to you if it is not happy to have a relationship with him you may say to him what problems you had with him it will help you
I had a similar experience in 8th grade. Going into the school year I had one person who I considered a friend and also considered me a friend I had some other people I would occasionally hangout with at lunch but I new they didn't actually like me they only let me sit there because it was the table for the loners and the loosers the table for broken people but anyway through my one friend I met an amazing girl and we quickly became best friends and even made some other friends and had our own little friend group that to be honest other than me and her had three 7th graders and the way the cafeteria worked in my middle school was one side was 7th graders and the other was 8th graders except for one table designated for 7th and 8th graders and luckily it was empty so we took it over and through our friendship she kept dropping hot she liked me and even telling me "I like you" but I ignored them because if we broke up it would destroy our friendship but one day she told me she wanted to start dating and of course I said yes and it was a perfect relationship at least in my mind it was so we eventually went to a real date at the mall and afterwards hung out at her house and this was the only date we would have bur our relationship would continue for some more months and during this time she said "I love you" for the first time and me being me replied with "I love me too" but we eventually started difting apart and then she broke up with me over text and didn't even tell me why so I was pissed and had the support of our friend group because two of the 7th graders basically just followed the other 7th graders decision and she took the spot of best friend and every time we say my ex for a while after the break up we uttered an insult usually bitch but eventually me and the other girl started dating and during this time I had found my exs ex on instagram and started talking with him and eventually I was over the first girl and I didn't need a rebound anymore which I hate to admit is what the second girl was se we ended our relationship but during this time I could not get myself to hate the first girl no matter how much I wanted to and both of the girls started dating and some time after that mess ended I found out she started dating her ex at the same time she was dating the second girl. So yeah my 8th grade year was the worst and I didn't even mention at some point I was the only one sitting at the table anymore so I look like a the lonely loosers but even if I tried sitting with the cool kids they probably would have let me because I was the "trench coat kid" at my school every being super careful around me as not to set me off so I was that kid at my school until I left the next year. Sorry for the long vent I should just not post this but I spent the last hour writing this on my phone so.

@@venkatreddy7475 i've had the idea to tell him how i feel for a while and even went so close to actually telling him, but then..i saw him smiling and laughing.. it made me happy and broken at the same time. It made me feel like i shouldnt bring it up anymore because he's moved on...because he's happy now. he doesnt deserve to be brought back and dragged to my mess anymore. Of course it still hurts, that he moved on so easily, but i dont have the right to think that. Thank you for the suggestion though. Maybe one day i'll talk to him again... even if its only a minute or a few seconds..

I had two best friends, we were only friends for a year but I thought our friendship was perfect. I thought it would last forever. They were the best things about my life. And honestly there were days where I’d wake up and and everything was so perfect I’d wonder if I was dreaming. But as this song puts so nicely, perfect doesn’t last. Turned out one of them had been lying to me the entire time I’d known her and yeah that broke everything. But now I kinda wish I’d just let her lie, because I lost them both and I’d do anything to have them back again. Coz sure she was lying but it was still perfect. They still cared about me. I just miss them so much.
I feel that. I've met countless people and they've called me friends, I've never been one to trust people easily, so I normally just brush them off but if I consider them a friend I will risk my life to make sure they are okay. One time I ran 20+ miles to my friends home bc they stopped texting me out of no where during lunch in the summer 5 years back. I'm glad I got there in time they fell down the stairs and were knocked out bleeding. I still visit them and they are now engaged to one of my other good friends

But my older friend, my first friend, got involved, she decided too involve herself between him and I, and she told him bad things about me. That I was unstable and he should avoid me. It hurt so bad, I felt like my only friend was being pulled away by the false friend. I, to this day, still don't know exactly why my ex best friend abandoned me. She said-- no, one of her friends said-- that I was a "bad influence" and "she would appreciate it if I left her alone". However, any time I got in trouble, it was because of HER. She was always associated somehow. She had grown distant ever since one of her old friends had moved in nearby, and I had refused to buy her a hoodie 'because she wanted one' because she had told me we weren't on "that level of friendship" the day prior. I am nearly certain that she replaced me, but I would hesitate heavily if she decided to come back to me. I'd probably downright turn her away. She was a toxic friend, anyway, I realize that now. She always kicked me in the shins, which I took as a joke, and was always fairly distant and cold towards me. I wonder how I ever considered her my 'best' friend. Perhaps it's because of my tendency to wander into toxic relationships and stay with them just because I'm afraid of being alone again.

Here’s my story related to this song..
I had a best friend who was there my WHOLE life. We were inseparable. She was the other half of me. Everyone knew we were best friends. We told each other everything! At one point we even dated for a while but that didn’t work out. Me and her were truly the definition of “perfect”. But perfect doesn’t last.She was there up until 7th grade. We were together all through elementary and split in middle school. 6th grade was hard considering the fact that I didn’t have a phone cause my parents didn’t ever get me one. In 7th grade I like bought a Amazon tablet with my pocket money and we talked through tiktok. Everything was perfect. Until one night we were talking about school and she said “I have this crush and I met this really nice girl” I wasn’t really bothered until she said “she’s my BEST friend” and yes you can have more than 1 bestie but she was talking about her 24/7 and would interrupt me on call to tell me something “funny” about her. I had enough and I told her that she’s rubbing the fact that she’s doing better than me in life (I was doing therapy at the time) and all she said was “lol” I got so mad and I started sending her paragraphs about how everything we went through was a joke to her and when I ended our friendship she said “I’m sorry it’s my fault your literally an angel”.
That argument happened years ago and today, I still remember those last words. I hope I see her again. I’m not really a fan of second chances but just once more would I like to run up to her crying about something stupid and feeling safe in her arms.
I'll think from time to time and 🙏 you get a second chance. Think that you deserve it. Just don't get discouraged.

Sob story time! When I was in kindergarten I had a boy best friend. I was new in town and he was my first friend. We spent more time together and I soon developed a crush on him. Life seemed perfect. On the second-to-last week of school there was a fierce game of tag. I chose the girls's side because I was afraid of getting abandoned by them. I think he got hurt about that. After the game he started being mean and ignoring me. We weren't BFFs anymore. My heart broke.

I used to think perfection could last forever. When I was down on my luck, & no one to turn to, she was there for me, & stuck by me even through the bad times. I had never thought I would of ever been so happy, so in love, but before I could blink, months had passed, & we just grew apart. It was like no other kind of pain I'd ever felt, but until this day, I miss her, & can't help but wonder what if things were different? I used to have a guy friend. He was my everything. We would call each other everyday. One day, a big fight came between me, him, and my other friend. I was like the mother of the class or the second teacher. Still, every single time someone gets hurt I'm always defending them, like as if I'm the shield of my class... but since yesterday was our last day of school... and most of us are leaving and each person I met disappeared since nothing is perfect. I fell in love and out of it, within a few days.
He was this amazing person. He was cute and so nice. He healed me, he was there for me. He told me I mattered to him and how much he loved me.
Well you see it was kinda hard because him and I were so far apart. (He lives in USA and I in Europe.)
I spent so much time for him, but now I feel betrayed.
After a week or so we finally decided to get together. He had seen me at that time, but it was a filtered photo. I finally felt brave enough to show myself on cam. Just my face. I though we were fine, until he dmed me.. he told me how he thought I was ugly. He told me he didn’t want to hurt me, and that he was sorry. But it didn’t matter for me. That night I cried myself to sleep. Then suddenly a switch in my mind flipped over and now I finally accept myself. Now I finally understand that you can only love others if you love yourself.
Before this I thought that was bullshit, but now I finally understand it. You can only be in a good relationship when you love yourself, because you can judge if this person is good for you, and judge them on how they treat you.
Anyone who reads this and feels the same, don’t try to force relationships with self hate. Self hate takes time but you can love without loving yourself, but those will never be good relationships, because you don’t value yourself.
I love you all, although you don’t know me, I hope you could learn from my experiences.

I remember my younger girl best friend who passed away two years ago and three day ago was her death anniversary. Our friendship was the strongest, I thought we were able to support each other and were able to help each other move forward but it turns out that she is just helping me fix my life and she already gave up on fighting her. She was seven and I was nine when I thought everything's going to be alright, we have each other, we have each other to lean on to but she hid her condition, her terminal condition and I couldn't do anything even though I was the last person she talked to before she gave up. It's so painful. Still very painful.
I know now that perfect doesn't last.
