Am i the only one that wants to see an actual animated fight between Victor and Mcburn? Seriously, one of the most hype scene in the game! That entrance with the riff going crazy in the background, all the build up and dialogue until they clash is just so fucking good!

You're not the only one. I enjoyed the scene the first time.. Victor is one of my favourite characters... It's one of the things we criticize nihon falcom for: the most important fights should be animated just like Tales of games.
Heck yeah! I would LOVE to see that! However, Falcom most likely didn't want to show the full fight because they didn't want to show Mcburn's potential yet.
I just had Emma loaded with those insane gems. Art crit, then Delay build fie for backup. Probably took less than 20hits lol, yeah that's exaggeration, but emma arts is so strong.
Impede 2 and deus gem are wonders for this fight Although anyone saying that you can impede him so he never gets a turn is lying Odds are get familiar with incandescent hellfire, because you'll get hit by it at least twice (and it can't be blocked because all his crafts has the all cancel effect)
Funny how our group find the idea of McBurn defeating Valimar alone ridiculous while at that point of the story, i would say that Valimar defeating McBurn is absolutely impossible the dude is a monster

SPOIL CS4 (while staying vague) Without spoiling too much, it's pretty much confirmed in CS4 nobody on foot can take him in 1v1, only a top tier fighter in a top tier Divine Knight would have a 50/50 chance (apart from Giliath/Ishmelga, he would have higher chance of winning against McBro)

Well it was a war and rean has a limit to his ogre power. It's not something he can use freely like goku super sayain God or ultra goku. If Rean loses self control he would slaughter everyone. Including his family
Holy shit, just passed this fight tonight on my first playthrough and let's say it didn't exactly go that way :D Ended up finishing the game after this fight, but seeing such a level of mastery is insane. What I get from it though is I probably don't rely on recipe enough... Anyway, well played !
Anyone else really appreciate the work the English voice actors did for this game? I tried playing it on steam with Japanese VA and it's just not the same. I can't take them seriously when Claire sounds more childish than Millium and the large amounts of Romaji being used turns grates on my nerves. And i already KNOW Japanese so it's not a problem of understanding them
Definitely agreed. The casting and voice direction is really well done imo. Taking into account the added voice lines for the English dub and the fact Erebonia is western European inspired it just felt way more natural. I tried a bit of both, and I've definitely seen comments on S craft vids for example saying stuff like "Wow Alisa sounds so bad in English" without really giving the dub a shot. It's definitely what I'd recommend to most players.
I got super lucky with my delays in this fight, had both Rean and Fie mercilessly hammering away at him, blocking his turn as often as possible. Then, as he has not even an eighth of his health bar, McBurn drops a hot steamy S-Craft on me. I forgot I had the masterquartz on Laura that aggros enemies to her and revives upon death. She lived, I used Radiant Lion, and McBurn was no more. What a nasty fight.

I just buffed the ever living shit out of Laura's strength stat for these fights. Seriously, she can S-Craft and kill bosses at full health if you get her strength high enough and equip her with Domination.
No matter how buffed you make Laura you ain't one shotting any boss at end game. At least not on high difficulty. If you talking about Easy or Normal, just get the fuck out of here....

Fie: murakumo evade 2 zeus aeolus waterfall domination calamity wrath special: temptious roar with aura armor 2, loa boots, evergreen, ice crown/ lightning belt note: this set-up gives fie 105% evade and 200% accuracy/ 100% evade with 150% accuracy - both having crit hits @ evade Laura: Brave waterfall domination calamity zeus aeolus mars rakshasha special: grail burst, artemis tears, or temptatious roar with clestial armor, virgo boots, lion heart, and ice crown or lightning belt note: Laura has the highest stregnth stat, so making her a party regular is a must against boss fights Strategy: Spam ult - each ult gives 180 - 200k+ dmg due to domination's effect; if mcburn survives, cast sol eruption since emma has stealth and stat boost due to rebellion master quartz effect. this means, sol eruption's cast only has 8 delay - enough to survive one attack from macburn - and make emma invulnerable to attacks since stealth effect would nullify both physical and magic attacks. Also, the sets listed combine both assualter and canceller builds, which will help you breeze through the game with ease. On a final note, you can farm the above-listed quartz in the last dungeon of the old school house. reach floor 16, the exit the old school house, which will regen all chests in the dungeon. It's acrually my 3rd playrhrough, and I already have all characters equipped with the quartz sets I listed. It may take a while to farm the quartz, but it's worth the strain if you're going for multiple playthroughs.
For Revolution this boss isn't at lv 200 he's like at lv 130 so at LVS Below 120 use Revolution but since I'll NEVER attempt Nightmare at and lv that is NOT lv 200 Waterfall should always be used if need be get at least 3 MORE Waterfall and Domination quartz's in the games last dungeon in addition to hitting lv 200 before attempting it.
McBurn PROBABLY trounces him. Like... Rean's power is good, especially when he goes all-out, but he's nowhere near McBurn's level. Like... He could probably take on... Normal-level McBurn and come out even.
That's obvious since Rean is not even a match for Sara ,less again Mcburn (also i never said that using it will change the outcome) but i really wanted a reaction from the enforcer and the others , since aside from the pentagruel part,never again people reacted to Rean's mixed powers
That seems odd considering Sara point blank tells Rean during an optional event that he could trounce her with her Ogre Form. Sara is not particularly strong, just unconventional. Also, Mcburn is looking to fight Rean for real in CS3, not Valimar, but Rean himself. So sounds to me like there's more of a mystery to his Ogre power than what was explored in CS2.
Well in CS3 McBurn actually seems to think Rean might be worth of fighting, since Rean starts getting quite OP. I mean, he even becomes a Divine Blade by the end of CS4
Wow. Just… Wow. I beat him by using Angel master quartz and reviving my whole party with Seraphic Ring after his S-Craft and Lost Art. And even with it I barely made it. This is absolutely another level.
When someone made a difficulty mod for pc, seraphic ring was insane. It may as well be one of the most op things in this game. It's very straightforward. Full heal + Revive +HP Recovery? Yes please says litterally every jrpg player.
Same lol had fie tanking with chevalier MQ lv 5 (free revive) so when his s craft killed my whole party i switch out fie for alisa and revive everyone then switch back before he got a turn. Then switched in laura who i always keep inthe back as my trump card, gave her 50% str food and hit him with a 200cp domination quartz boosted s craft on a crit turn for 200k damage and kill him lol i felt like a genius for coming back from that. Seeing him ignore my adamant guard/art reflect made me pee my pants i had no idea that could happen

@@nadeshiko10100 while I read everywhere that he is the most difficult in CS2 I had more problems with The end Boss and his two first phases, whatever the reason. No I would say It took me 4 death to finally get through it‘s first phase, the second was easier and 3rd was easy either. For McBurn I was afraid, because a lot say he is the most challenging in this game, but for me I got through it easy and was wondered about it, cause I’m not that great in playing that game. XD with a lot of delay crafts I got through it easily.

Victor Arseid the radiant blademaster is on par with mcburn like sharon and claire against the former Zephyr duo Oliver and Toval versus blublanc an the valkyrie brat as well as the thors students and instructors against the magic knights. The enemies may be strong but honestly the heroes came out on top will 3 an 4 have a similar ending heroes prevail

But if you really want to know (spoilers duh): He's stronger than even the Steel Maiden (who is known as the strongest Anguis) and his power transforms his entire body into a "demonic body" (he looks like an actual Devil). He also showed he can beat a full-powered Divine Knight.
Okay I get McBurn because the man is an absolute number one but do we ever get to see any boss admit defeat in sen no kiseki games... because this is getting old.
It's getting old AND boring, since in ao no kiseki we actually beat the bosses to the point they passed out. Hopefully it changes in sen 3 (I haven't played sen 3 yet so idk)
Not getting to canonically beat McBurn makes sense, but we can’t even be victorious against Duvalie (who’s not even an enforcer) and Bleublanc? Not even Leo and Xeno (who are just jaegers)? That was honestly one of my least favorite aspects of CS2 and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves the game. It nullifies the sense of accomplishment that normally comes with defeating a boss. These unbeatable boss battles occur way too frequently throughout the game. Again, I understand why it had to be done with McBurn in the finale and a few of the Act 1 fights, but the boss battles in the finale were kinda disappointing because of it.
@@ravus9935 it does make sense for an arc with 4 installments (+ another game for the epilogue). Duvalie, Xeno, Leo appear throughout all of the Erebonian games, they aren't cannon fodder villains such as ILF leaders. Good example is Rufus (heavy Cold Steel 1-4 spoilers ahead): Rufus beats whole C7 (except Rean) alone in CS2. In CS3 he commands Ironbloods in 4v4 against Rean, Elliot, Jusius and Machias (and technically loses). In CS4 Rean and Crow beat Rufus for good in the Rivalry (yes it was a 2v1, but Rufus also had the 2nd strongest Divine Knight, which also absorbed the power of the Argreion (Lianne's mech), not to mention the curse buff. In Hajimari Rean is already way stronger than Rufus. So to sum it up Power Levels aren't really that consistent or important in the series (because since Sky, characters could constantly get random power ups or nerfs, for the sake of the plot), but in CS there is at least a natural progression, which corresponds to the main cast actually growing up and getting experienced in terms of fighting.
Just remember this guy is enforcer number uno or 1 that's higher than leonhardt who was dos or 2 soooo yeah dark/hard times ahead I can get only imagine the rage of some who lost this fight
Numbers don't determine strenght in the Enforcers. Enforcers seem to number their ranks by the Tarot's Major Arcana. That's why Campanella is Number 0 (aka The Fool). That said, Number 1 and Number 2 did end up being the two strongest members.
Class 7 side from elliot and machias are pretty OP/talented in combat lore wise, this down playing of their skill every boss encounters is really.. Weird? Unnecessary?

Ironblood is not a race, it's a title given to the young teens groomed personally by Osbourne as his most trusted lieutenants,and the name Osbourne calls his inner circle. That's why they are literally the "Ironbreed",as they are originally called in the Japanese version, because he handpicked them and groomed them into important members of his government. Rean is the Chancellor's son, but he's not an Ironblood,in the same way Altina is not one either. They work for him, and there's a big difference between working for Osbourne and being part of his inner circle.

Mcburn is by far stronger than any human or Rean , he lost control over his powers but he grew custom to it. When you play the legend of heroes trail of cold steel 3 and 4 November of this year and next year . You'll get a deeper understanding about mcburn . Also. There is an enforcer stronger than mcburn he is the fool he appeared in trails in the sky and the crossbell Arc you'll learn about their past soon but as it turns out all these games are connected Like joshua Rean was left abandoned by their birth parents . Due to their power hidden it's why they were hunted . But in short. That sword can kill mcburn but since Victor is more of a show me you're true power he wants. a battle. Not a quick kill. The radiant blade also the Ace to the Arseid family. Woth a sword like that he can destroy. A number of soldots
Campanella is much weaker than even Loewe. And also there is Holy Trinity of the strongest characters: McBurn, Arianrhod and Ein Selnate. Maybe we'll see someone stronger in next arcs, but right now these three are the strongest.

That is the most inefficient boss fight I’ve ever seen. You could have just used S-Crafts to wrap up the fight and you would have saved 10 minutes, but instead you were just using basic attacks and link attacks instead of bursts for no reason.
its not really plotholes when stuff like Osborne being alive was foreshadowed in ao no kiseki and the anguis being named dropped,it is if you never knew this is an arc of a interconnected series.

Strategy:
Spam ult - each ult gives 180 - 200k+ dmg due to domination's effect;
if mcburn survives, cast sol eruption since emma has stealth and stat boost due to rebellion master quartz effect. this means, sol eruption's cast only has 8 delay - enough to survive one attack from macburn - and make emma invulnerable to attacks since stealth effect would nullify both physical and magic attacks.
Also, the sets listed combine both assualter and canceller builds, which will help you breeze through the game with ease.
On a final note, you can farm the above-listed quartz in the last dungeon of the old school house. reach floor 16, the exit the old school house, which will regen all chests in the dungeon. It's acrually my 3rd playrhrough, and I already have all characters equipped with the quartz sets I listed. It may take a while to farm the quartz, but it's worth the strain if you're going for multiple playthroughs.
For Revolution this boss isn't at lv 200 he's like at lv 130 so at LVS Below 120 use Revolution but since I'll NEVER attempt Nightmare at and lv that is NOT lv 200 Waterfall should always be used if need be get at least 3 MORE Waterfall and Domination quartz's in the games last dungeon in addition to hitting lv 200 before attempting it.
Shame Rean never use his true power cannonly in this fight,i really wanted to get a reaction of the party and Mcburn about Rean's power in action
McBurn PROBABLY trounces him. Like... Rean's power is good, especially when he goes all-out, but he's nowhere near McBurn's level. Like... He could probably take on... Normal-level McBurn and come out even.
Rean would still lose in about 5 seconds if McBurn fully turned his attention towards him
That's obvious since Rean is not even a match for Sara ,less again Mcburn (also i never said that using it will change the outcome) but i really wanted a reaction from the enforcer and the others , since aside from the pentagruel part,never again people reacted to Rean's mixed powers
That seems odd considering Sara point blank tells Rean during an optional event that he could trounce her with her Ogre Form. Sara is not particularly strong, just unconventional.
Also, Mcburn is looking to fight Rean for real in CS3, not Valimar, but Rean himself. So sounds to me like there's more of a mystery to his Ogre power than what was explored in CS2.
Well in CS3 McBurn actually seems to think Rean might be worth of fighting, since Rean starts getting quite OP.
I mean, he even becomes a Divine Blade by the end of CS4

Wow. Just… Wow. I beat him by using Angel master quartz and reviving my whole party with Seraphic Ring after his S-Craft and Lost Art. And even with it I barely made it. This is absolutely another level.
When someone made a difficulty mod for pc, seraphic ring was insane. It may as well be one of the most op things in this game. It's very straightforward. Full heal + Revive +HP Recovery? Yes please says litterally every jrpg player.
Same lol had fie tanking with chevalier MQ lv 5 (free revive) so when his s craft killed my whole party i switch out fie for alisa and revive everyone then switch back before he got a turn. Then switched in laura who i always keep inthe back as my trump card, gave her 50% str food and hit him with a 200cp domination quartz boosted s craft on a crit turn for 200k damage and kill him lol i felt like a genius for coming back from that. Seeing him ignore my adamant guard/art reflect made me pee my pants i had no idea that could happen

No I would say It took me 4 death to finally get through it‘s first phase, the second was easier and 3rd was easy either. For McBurn I was afraid, because a lot say he is the most challenging in this game, but for me I got through it easy and was wondered about it, cause I’m not that great in playing that game. XD with a lot of delay crafts I got through it easily.

It's getting old AND boring, since in ao no kiseki we actually beat the bosses to the point they passed out. Hopefully it changes in sen 3 (I haven't played sen 3 yet so idk)

Not getting to canonically beat McBurn makes sense, but we can’t even be victorious against Duvalie (who’s not even an enforcer) and Bleublanc? Not even Leo and Xeno (who are just jaegers)? That was honestly one of my least favorite aspects of CS2 and this is coming from someone who absolutely loves the game. It nullifies the sense of accomplishment that normally comes with defeating a boss. These unbeatable boss battles occur way too frequently throughout the game. Again, I understand why it had to be done with McBurn in the finale and a few of the Act 1 fights, but the boss battles in the finale were kinda disappointing because of it.
@@ravus9935 it does make sense for an arc with 4 installments (+ another game for the epilogue). Duvalie, Xeno, Leo appear throughout all of the Erebonian games, they aren't cannon fodder villains such as ILF leaders. Good example is Rufus (heavy Cold Steel 1-4 spoilers ahead):
Rufus beats whole C7 (except Rean) alone in CS2. In CS3 he commands Ironbloods in 4v4 against Rean, Elliot, Jusius and Machias (and technically loses). In CS4 Rean and Crow beat Rufus for good in the Rivalry (yes it was a 2v1, but Rufus also had the 2nd strongest Divine Knight, which also absorbed the power of the Argreion (Lianne's mech), not to mention the curse buff. In Hajimari Rean is already way stronger than Rufus. So to sum it up Power Levels aren't really that consistent or important in the series (because since Sky, characters could constantly get random power ups or nerfs, for the sake of the plot), but in CS there is at least a natural progression, which corresponds to the main cast actually growing up and getting experienced in terms of fighting.
Just remember this guy is enforcer number uno or 1 that's higher than leonhardt who was dos or 2 soooo yeah dark/hard times ahead I can get only imagine the rage of some who lost this fight
Numbers don't determine strenght in the Enforcers. Enforcers seem to number their ranks by the Tarot's Major Arcana. That's why Campanella is Number 0 (aka The Fool). That said, Number 1 and Number 2 did end up being the two strongest members.

Rean is the Chancellor's son, but he's not an Ironblood,in the same way Altina is not one either. They work for him, and there's a big difference between working for Osbourne and being part of his inner circle.

When you play the legend of heroes trail of cold steel 3 and 4 November of this year and next year . You'll get a deeper understanding about mcburn . Also. There is an enforcer stronger than mcburn he is the fool he appeared in trails in the sky and the crossbell Arc you'll learn about their past soon but as it turns out all these games are connected Like joshua Rean was left abandoned by their birth parents . Due to their power hidden it's why they were hunted . But in short. That sword can kill mcburn but since Victor is more of a show me you're true power he wants. a battle. Not a quick kill. The radiant blade also the Ace to the Arseid family. Woth a sword like that he can destroy. A number of soldots

That is the most inefficient boss fight I’ve ever seen. You could have just used S-Crafts to wrap up the fight and you would have saved 10 minutes, but instead you were just using basic attacks and link attacks instead of bursts for no reason.
