It is back to the beach breaks and sand bars. On Jan 1st, 2024, a sand bar in San Diego was picking up some of the remanent surf from the New Years Swell. The waves were only 2-5 foot faces but it was still rideable. A handful of surfers decided to catch a few on this New Years Day. The rights on the sand bar were the only thing lining up and ridable.

Typical surf in SD... actually that is a little bigger than notmal.

Yeah, normal session for San Diego. Which is still better than most days on the East Coast. They will take 2-4 foot anyday.
