      Its incredible only because of these 2 week of reading, lecture from your college, etc. All the knowledge you gained through your studies was framed in this video so that you could understand it easily and simply.

    • @cooperman.incstudios4060

      Are we talking about evolution here or what?

    • @zarifsadiq829
      @zarifsadiq829 8 лет назад +3

      CooperMan.inC Studios Yeah, I don't believe in blind evolution. Something as intricate as a worm , monkey or ourselves cannot be a product of chance, i.e. blind evolution. Evolution guided by an intelligent being however is plausible in my opinion.

    • @cooperman.incstudios4060
      @cooperman.incstudios4060 8 лет назад +10

      Zarif Sadiq It's not blind, not chance, you just don't grasp the massive scale of it all, that's why it makes no sense to you. Absolutely not calling you an idiot here, any normal person can understand AS LONG AS they get enough info and do their research. I constantly look at both sides of the argument and their beliefs/theories even though I'm 100% certain, just to be fair and to know in detail what the other side is talking about in order to have counter arguments AND possibly, if something extremely convincing comes up, reconsider my position.

    • @zarifsadiq829
      @zarifsadiq829 8 лет назад +3

      CooperMan.inC Studios Same here. If someone can answers my questions with I would have no issues accepting evolution as fact. Unfortunately as far as now I have been unable to get a satisfactory answer. As I've stated I have no problem with evolution as a progressive means in which we arise at the present state of life. My objection is that evolution can be the product of chance.
      My first problem is with people calling it the "theory of evolution". If we are familiar with the scientific method then we know for a hypothesis to even be considered a hypothesis it must be testable and the test must be repeatable. Since evolution does not happen on a human time scale it is not testable, thus does not meet the requirements of a hypothesis much less a theory. The best answer I have received is of some examples of adaptation. For example a certain virus that has mutated to become a slightly different virus. The problem here is its still a virus and the claim evolution makes is not one of adaptations but of a changing of kinds. That is one species turned into another.
      Another issue I have with evolution is that it defies the second law of thermodynamics, i.e. entropy. A single human genome has about 3.5 billion base pairs or nucleotides that are arranged in the exact sequence to produce you, me or whoever they code for. Matter does not organize itself, and if we understand basic statistics we would find this random strand of DNA simply falling together is statistically impossible, even when taking the size of the universe into consideration.

    • @cooperman.incstudios4060
      @cooperman.incstudios4060 8 лет назад +2

      Zarif Sadiq There are counter arguments to the thermodynamics arguments by physicists and they know their stuff. But about the theory thing, any accepted hypothesis is called a theory. It's just science talk, a very confusing and in my opinion very stupid choice. Most important thing is natural selection and the fact that DNA tries to copy paste itself. It does it pretty well, but it makes "mistakes". Not necessarily bad results, just means that the copy is not a clone, it is a close approximation of the previous dna batch.So after millions of years we have species like us humans that have a varied population in appearance and size and strength throughout the planet. Because some of the mistakes stack up, so there are many different "bloodlines" carrying these characteristics with them. That's the result of millions of years of small mistakes and natural selection. Natural sellection is basically all about the fact that, in nature, if you are too weak you have higher chances of dying BEFORE you procreate, therefore weak characteristicstend to not be passed down very often, because if you had 2000 cubs of some sort, and 500 of them were considered weak in their environment, then 400 of those would die before they could procreate, therefore the next generation would have less of the weak ones. It's brutal, it's not nice, but through tht process, over BILLIONS of years of small changes and small changes, we have reached this point. Sorry for long comment.

    A very clear and concise demonstration of how a good ear should work That should be mandatory viewing for students. The challenge is now to progress into the effects of various malfunctions eg Otosclerosis, Perilymph fistula ect.

    I took a cognitive psych class at Uni and learned about hearing (2008), I wish I'd seen this video at that time. Thanks so much for making this!
