- Attention all units: the lights are flashing, the bikes are roaring and after 15 years, there’a a lot more freeway to patrol! But there’s not so much interstate that California Highway Patrolmen Ponch and Jon can’t cover it when they again go wherever the rubber meets the road in CHiPs ’99. Larry Wilcox returns as straight-arrow officer Jon Baker and Erik Estrada reprises his role as free-spirited Frank “Ponch” Poncherello in this 15-year reunion that adds a ‘90s sensibility to the can’t-miss elements that made the 1977-83 CHiPs TV series a fan-pleasing success: cool motorcycles, freewheeling fun and widespread disregard for the California traffic code. This time, that disregard turns dangerous. Ponch and Jon confront an automobile hijacking ring that may be the ultimate in road rage!
Back in ‘99 even though 22 years has gone by Larry Wilcox still looks the same .... he’s my favourite he’s so humble , so honest and so focused I always admired him as J.B.

Say what you want about the original, and the "99" special, Chip's will always be one of my favorite shows.

Robert Pine still looks the same! I can't help but laugh at the episode when Baker and Ponch were in the hospital and they got Baker. HAHA!!! Robert filmed him trying to parasail and he got nailed. OOPS!!!

I have seen the new movie trailer "CHIPS", which will be released in cinemas in summer 2017 and I must say I'm very disappointed, because find it different from what was the original TV series!
The gag humorous, even a little vulgar, are useless and you could freely avoided!
The majors must understand that the remakes are not always interesting ... a lot better if it was a group of new young characters, supported by small roles of the old characters, of the tv series, played by the original actors!
... And above all, keep the original structure and keep it from becoming a parody!
I love the TV series and this TV movie of 1999!
I hope the "WARNER" decides to produce a TV movie, just like this, bringing back both the original cast and a new cast with new characters younger!
