Trust me, you don't want to start off in a shifter kart. I have tons of car driving experience and it's just a whole different level of physicality. The single speed karts are where it's at for fun. I love my KA100 air cool two stroke.
Great video man. I was there this past Saturday with my son and nephew. We’ve got one in kid karts and one in the micro. They’re 5 & 8 years old. We will be there this weekend. White trailer near track at start finish line. Come say hey to the boys. Also, I live in Dawsonville and have a sim with this kart and track if you want some laps.
Not really permits but obviously you need some experience on the track before you jump out there so coming in and doing some practice sessions on their rental karts is advisable. They rent standard public karts and they also rent out kace carts. Then on race day you have to bring your own kart but you do not need to be a member of the track to race. You can sign up and pay it's just an extra like $20 more if you're not a member.
I have my own kart, and they store it at the track for a monthly fee. I show up, they get it out for me, then I get it ready to drive. They do have rental race karts also though.
Nice job! Much respect for anyone willing to get out there, and humble enough to realize they are not going to be fighting for the podium.
Thrilled to see you karting!! I've been playing in some karts over the past few years, they're wild!!
Awesome video man. Shifters are wild enough to drive let alone race!
I'm 42 looking to get into karting.. is really want a shifter but I found a tony kart Tag setup..might get that then swap the motor out one day.

Sweet! Thank you Thomas.
Wow...driving through the pits is a HUGE no no at every track I've been to.
Looks like so much fun. Do you need special permits to race
