Episode 17 "The Dawn of Humanity," was quite the episode, and with a new season hopefully arriving next year, It is time we dive back into the brutal world of AOT. Where did it all begin? Decaf's quick thoughts (ignore if you want):
    Mikasa is hot, Pieck Is hot. AOT was great and it is sad to see it end so soon. The character of Eren, although flawed, was a well written character. The terror that Isayma brought to his world is amazing and just impressive. The animation (including Studio Mappa's work) and OST is great!

    Eren has no desire to kill , this shoe is amazing it shows eren has no option left because he can see past and future . So that's why it makes the best villian ever .

    Great video Decaf! I have recently started reading the AOT manga and I have seen some of the anime at my schools anime club. I have heard people say that AOT isn't that good but I beg to differ. All of the characters seem to have their own struggles and fears which I think is amazing for so many characters to have so much development. Like you said, the soundtrack for the anime is amazing!! Which opening is your favorite? I think they're all bangers but my personal favorites are Guren no Yumiya and Red Swan.

    I think you missed a crucial point of Eren’s character. He told you times and times that he was born that way. His monstrous nature was never influenced by anything from his environment, even if that was the titans or the Marley’s government. Those oppressors were simply just excuses for him to act like a tragic hero despite the fact that his crime was much more horrible than them. AoT is always about growing out of your hatred and your primal desire, somethings that Eren failed to do.

    • @viorp5267
      @viorp5267 2 года назад +7

      That's not even remotely true. Erents cry 'because I was born in to this world' is his belief that all humans in a way believe to be free. This has manifested in him since a young age due to seeing Mikasa being attacked by bandits, it is then when his desire for freedom manifested into an understanding that you need to fight against all which wish to restrict your freedom.
      Be it the First king of Paradis, the walls, the Titans and eventually the word. Eren never wished to be the one to rob others of their freedom, but he came to understand that is it us or them. Both during the conference where 'edian rights activists' still called for genocide of paradis or during Willie Tybur's speech where the whole world declared war on paradis to the cheers of everyone there.

      @@viorp5267 Eren’s desire for freedom didn’t come the belief that everyone should be freed, but from the frustration for the lack of it in his life. He was born that, and the way he killed those bandits was just a reflection of that monstrous desire. Many characters, even Eren himself was aware of it. That’s why he told Reiner maybe he was born that way and made fun of Zeke for thinking he was influenced by Grisha. Remember that he blackmailed the Scouts to commit the terrorist act at Liberio way before Willy made any declaration of war. Eren wanted to destroy the entire world for it not being like the things in Armin’s book, which would give him his freedom as long as he killed all those enemies taking it from him. But of course, he would never get satisfied as he looked at life the wrong way. Life is never about getting things you don’t have, but appreciating little things in front of your eyes. It’s Eren, not the outside world denying his freedom both literally and metaphorically. His attitude is never the answer to this story, which is always about learning to let go to grow.

    I have a love and hate relationship with AOT, well it comes down to my detest for those who worship Eren's character. He is an evil monster, who is willingly killing innocent people because of his hate towards them. I feel like there is a big misinterpretation with AOT's message. War is not black and white, there is that grey area, and viewers lack that understanding.

      I get the hate towards people for people woh warship him, but he is not an evil monster either. He seriously doesn't want to do what he is doing, and cares about his friends more than anything.

      I get that he's a monster but at the same time, he is also a fictional character and we as the audience have seen plenty of what he went through to understand why he's doing the rumbling so most of these "worshippers" you speak of probably sympathize a lot with him, I just want to say that liking a fictional character is not the same as agreeing with their ideology or ideologies related to their actions, some people just want to see Eren succeed after all the struggles he went through (ik how the manga ends btw)

      @@nimpsonkinkson1924 i still like eren and his character but understanding and sympathizing with him is where the line ends. if ure literally justifying his actions (like mass genocide, even bigger than that) then thats what crossing the line is and thats the problem with eren worshippers. yeah this is fictional but it still reflects our reality. u can like eren but accept the fact that in no way genocide is justifiable
