    Wow. You’re a legend. I’m going to show this to my 13 yr old who loves to sew. I think it will motivate her.
    Have you thought of buying an industrial machine? I bought a secondhand Juki and it is amazing but it also automatically cuts the thread! This would save you time and wastage

    To help streamline your gluing process place the bottle upside down in a glass with a damp paper towel in the bottom. It will save you time with trying to get the glue to come out. The wet towel will stop the glue from leaking and messing up the glass.

    It’s cool seeing your method of making scrunchies for your business! I haven’t seen the elastic ends glued together! I have tremors and my hands will just drop and let go of things so sewing over the elastic is a nightmare for me! I’ll have to try this the next time I make some! I love that you use thicker elastic also! I already had tons of the 1/4 inch elastic from mask making and the scrunchies just seem to slip out of my insanely thick hair. I’m going to pick up some elastic the next time I’m at the store!

    • @harmonydevaney8940

    • @jeniferalvarez2914
      @jeniferalvarez2914 3 года назад +1

      @@harmonydevaney8940 I did make some and it was so easy doing the elastic. I have really bad tremors in my hands that make everything insanely difficult. But gluing the elastic was so much easier! I did use 1 inch elastic and based on the results I believe it’s too thick. I also used non roll elastic. It doesn’t stretch much. I’m not sure if it’s the right type of elastic for my hair. I have insanely thick and coarse hair. I’d say try out different elastics and widths.

    I have a fabric addiction too .. I used to make fairy dresses and kids dress up costumes and other little bits and pieces about fifteen years ago and sell at the local markets …I’ve always thought one day I will do it again so I have kept all my bulk sewing stuff .last time I had a quick count I had about 80 x 60 litre tubs of fabrics …lol…
    One day I will get going again 😊
    I also went through a short lived quilting phase , I have several hundred fat quarters and I have hardly touched it …lol…one day 😗

    Do you have a method for pricing your items? This is always a problem for me because even though I know all my costs to make handmade items I never charge enough for labour and markup. What is your method for pricing handmade? Do you try to price them within a range or do you buy fabrics to stay within your range? BTW...you are so sweet! You have so much passion for what you do!

    I have problems with everything lol...some serious fabric and yarn addictions. I just added scrunchies to mine and my sisters Etsy shop and while they are not all posted yet I already have 64 options lol. And as a crocheter I seriously have so many different yarns it's ridiculous! Lol

    For your timing math - did you take into account that a minute has 60 seconds and that 3.42 is three minutes and 42/100 of a minute. So your speed is more like 3 minutes 25 seconds.
    Impressive:)

    Have you tried clipping the fabric and the elastic.. then when you pull it up have a line to snip the elastic at and cut ?

    • @strwbry_moon3816
      @strwbry_moon3816 3 года назад

      The elastic is way shorter than the cut fabric though to create the ripple, it wouldn’t work that way

    So....I got the thicker, wider elastic and cut It a half inch longer than I normally would. It’s way too tight! 😭 what length do you cut yours? And with yours can you do a bun with insanely thick hair? But when I do have It in my hair It actually feels really secure! I’m glad I happened to find this video! ❤️

    Would it be possible to do the elastic part at the same time as flipping them? If you put one end to the top of the stick and then slide the fabric over it, would it flip all together? It’s hard for me to picture how it fully works and so I could be completely wrong but I just figured I’d mention it. :)

    Hello, Taylah! I never tire of watching your videos. It seems that no matter how many times I view them, I always learn something new. I have another question about the wide, non-roll, ribbed elastic you use on your Scrunchies. Believe it or not, I have never worn one. Ok, so when you use the wide elastic it seems very stiff which I'm assuming is the purpose. It seems so tight, trying to wrap it around my hand twice to put over a pony tail. I remember you saying that yours stays in even when you sleep? Maybe my problem is I was trying to double the scrunchie before putting it on the pony tail. Do you double it or just slip it over the pony tail as is? Thank you so much. Congratulations on your SEVEN YEARS! You are amazing.

    Man I love this video 😍
    I have started a scrunchie business as well but there's alot left more 😌 it's all handmade but people prefer those from factories since it's cheaper, all the Scrunchies I made is still left here, not sold, just left here 😞 spend so many nights cutting the fabric, and sewing but now all the motivation is in vain 😞

    Liked your video. You could put some thick fabric or placemats under your machine so it doesn’t rock. Also, if you’re making this many, invest in a good table and comfy chair for yourself.
