    When I lived in a village in Russia, we had about five cows, in the summer we would feed them with apples, zucchinis, watermelons, melons. They loved those fruits like crazy.

    Pumpkins naturally deworm cows due to the seeds, look it up it’s actually very good for the cows to eat pumpkins like so people can see

      Then Suzy, then curly. After that it #4#5and so on. Oh yeah . Before all that we had "Boss" She was the oldest biggest smartest cow. She gave the ranch 22 calves back in the day. She never had a number .

    Last year I gave my cows a few jack o lanterns after Halloween. They turned up their noses at them but the chickens loved them. I think because the pumpkins were slightly soft and maybe started to get bitter or tasted off.

    Have you tried conserving the pumpkin during longer periods by making silage?
    We produce styriach pumpkins just for the seeds, and want to try making sillage to preserve them for the winter, any experience in this?

    we get pumpkins for free after Hallowen they love them. If they eat enough it has natural deworming factors, last few years we fed around 38 truck loads. These are the mother cows so we don't eat them they are all in calf.

  • @nakalteep3580

    • @wreckandraceify
      @wreckandraceify 5 лет назад +5

      Do bison, mountain goats, deer, moose, eat under shelter?
      Through evolution animals have everything they need to survive.
      As long as cows have some type of windbreak (timber, treeline, low hollows) they could care less about snow and cold. Most cows out west never see a barn.
      They are so well insulated snow will sit ontop their backs and not melt.
