    You said you buy alot of tires from these people. All the more reason you should have made them replace the sensor. Breaking a sensor is not acceptable. The tire tech didn't know what he was doing. My son is a maintenance tech at our local GMC dealer. He said the key to not breaking sensors is having the valve stem at the 2oclock position on the tire machine when dismounting and mounting each tire. By doing this, the bead can't catch the sensor. If they break one, the dealer automatically pays for it, because it's not supposed to happen. My son installed the XLTs on mine this weekend at the dealership. One of the perks is I didn't have to pay for mounting and balancing.....hehe! Anyway, don't let them get away with that again.

    I just got 4 XLT 285 , went from a 70 down to 65 ,I wanted to lower a little as 59 year old knees don't have the spring they used to! Had Toyo before. These were on hand so I took them but$1400.00 out the door, I think he over charged a little for the convenience I guess, oh well I do like them so far, 👌

    Your rim was not moving. It’s new rubber and a little slick and squirmy for a few hundred miles. That will go away as they break in.

      What’s your opinion on road noise? I have a similar tire (mastercraft courser axt) and they’re starting to get a little noisy.

    Run what the air pressure says on your drivers door. I just put these coopers on in January. I had BFG’s KO2’s on prior. I drive an 08 Tundra. I will say the coopers are better on dry pavement and rain but the Bfg’s by far outdo the Coopers in the snow IMO. Will see what longevity is on these Coopers as I only have 26000 km’s on them so far

    • @dalephillips8250
      @dalephillips8250 3 года назад +2

      BFG's are better in snow? If you had to choose between the 2 now which would you choose? I have a 2020 Tundra and am trying to decide between AT3 XLT, Falken Wildpeaks, and Goodyear Duratrac...all in 285/75R18

    • @jackjuby9520
      @jackjuby9520 3 года назад +1

      Dale Phillips I’ve never tried the wildpeaks but have heard good things about them. Hands down in my opinion the BFG are better than the cooper XLT’s I am running now. Now I think the Cooper are a better rain tire and provide a smooth ride in the dry. The BFG were much better in the snow, slush and ice. Once these Cooper are wore out I will go back to the BFG’s...... however the General Grabbers might get a look as well. Very similar to the BFG

    • @jackjuby9520
      @jackjuby9520 3 года назад +1

      Dale Phillips the Goodyear duratrac work well but are very noisy. My buddy is running a set and that’s his biggest complaint..... and they are a new set. Will only get noisier as they wear.

    • @dalephillips8250
      @dalephillips8250 3 года назад

      @@jackjuby9520 thanks for the info sir....I may try them as they are lighter than the Falkens and the BFG's. Decisions, decisions.....I just want to make the right one because I plan to stay with that size tire for the duration of my truck and will get a spare to match.

    • @jackjuby9520
      @jackjuby9520 3 года назад

      Dale Phillips oh I know where you are at! I watched vids and looked for opinions on tires. I was convinced to try the Coopers but now regret it. Wish I would have just put BFG KO2’s back on. I have tried the Goodyear Silent Armours as well. I swore the traction control light never shut off when I had those on.

    You’re describing tire squirm. That tends to be pretty pronounced on AT and hybrid tires when they are brand new because the tires haven’t been heat cycled yet.
    I’ve got a set of 37/12.50R17s on my Jeep Gladiator and I think they’re my favorite truck or jeep tire I’ve ever run

    I have a set of General Grabber ATx that will be needing replaced soon. Looking for a different set that will have better tread life. I pull 7-14k trailers 90% of the time with my Silverado 2500HD. Mostly around town, occasional freeway but also on gravel and dirt roads. What would you recommend?

      Hey man, I read your question. I have had the BFG Ko2s on my truck for over 2 and a half years. They are excellent tires for what you are looking for. I lived in central Florida for 5 years and I bought these tires about 2 years before I moved to Alabama I did alot of traveling on the highway back and forth from Birmingham to orlando frequently and they are still on my truck with 25% tread still left. I'm an outdoorsman so I love to go off trails to go fishing and camping so they are off road about 35% of the time just about every weekend and they hold up amazing. I also have a gravel driveway as well so keep that in mind. For the dependability and durability and lifespan of the tires your going to pay big but you get great quality! I myself wouldn't have a problem buying another set however, I'm just looking around and came across these Cooper at3 Xlts and I've got to say I'm hearing some great stuff about these tires. I hope I helped you out man and answered your question to the best of my knowledge. I'm just a 30 year old country man from the south though lol best of luck brother!
