Booster Cables or Jump Starter watch me show you how to use both!

NOCO is a great tool to have on-hand and travel-with as well; i have helped a lot of circumstances in the driveway and in the parking lot - w the NOCO. It retains charge very very well too - so it stores well; i charge it about 3X per year I think.
Yes for what it does, it’s a bargain.
If I am jumping with another car, I will typically shut off the running car before trying to start the dead one to eliminate two charging systems interfering with each other possibly harming expensive electronics. Just my 2 cents. Well made video, subbed.
Makes sense. Thank you for your input, much appreciated.
That was the first thing he said before he hooked up the cables. Anothe4 thing he suggested is to let the good battery vehicle run for a minute or two while lightly revving the engine before trying to start the dead battery vehicle. When attaching the negative cable clamp to a ground, try to chose a metal piece that is unpainted but not aluminum.
Yes, look for something a little rusty to know it isn’t aluminum
The extra power gets absorbed into the flat battery. The dead battery can drain your good one to the point you have 2 dead vehicles. Happens if your dead battery has an internal short. Always jump from a running vehicle.
Agreed.
Dig the 3 sp Nova. Back in the day 3 of my buddies owned '66 Novas with the L79 (327/350hp) 4sp cars.
Those L79 Novas are the best! I’ve owned this one for 50 years, originally my Grandfather’s car. I t was the first car I drove, he taught me how to drive it, 3 on the tree, manual steering and brakes. I still love that old car.
@@GaryTheCarNut Hard to beat a family car, some good memories come with the car.
@@GaryTheCarNut I owned two chevy IIs back in the day. One two door HT 3sp/6cyl, '64 SS 4sp, prior owner dropped a 327/300hp engine in. Both fun cars.
Boy they sure were simple.
Only problem.. you need to charge it every 3 months
Very true, need to keep charging it a few times per year.
In warm weather they can hold a 85%+ charge for a year in some cases. I have a GooLoo 3000 and after 3 months I put it on its charger. In less than 15 minutes it was fully charged again as it still had 4 bars before I charged it. The “ fancier ones have @ digital display showing the level of charge ( 85/ 93/ 72% etc. ). I don’t see a problem with “ refreshing it “ every 3 or 4 months.
True, yes II’ve noticed the charge does last longer in warmer weather
There's a mistake in your jumper cable process. Before starting the dead car, you should remove the cables.
Ummm .., if you do that there won’t be any power to start the dead car.
@@GaryTheCarNut ya 5hat was either a misprint, a bit of sarcasm or a stupid thing to suggest.
