As a taller guy myself 6+ I appreciate a taller cage… funny it’s the old old chassis that were built super low.. late models and mods in the 90s early 00s were definitely not constructed with a big guy in mind 🤣
Could you gain a little head room by putting the bars under the driver even with the bottom of the frame instead of the top ? Seems like it would lower the driver a couple of inches?
We could, and have done that in the past. However, our rules state the floor pan has to be level with the top of the frame. So we quit doing that, just in case something was said.
On the cage me myself I like a little bit shorter cage but I'm a short guy I'm just under 5 8 can I have quite a bit of room between the top of my helmet to the bottom of the Halo but you definitely doing some updates that are better that's for sure but you and pops keep it up it was good to see another video but you all take care
You might check the price of getting it blasted before buying a blaster. And local guy here will blase a fully built chassis for 100. Just a thought. Yall are hammering it out and looking good.

As always Chris, another fine job that you and pops are doing. I’m sure the fella getting this hound dog chassis is looking forward to getting it!
Thank you, Steve! We appreciate you!

Understandable, Rick! We want the chassis to be appealing in every way to every driver! We appreciate you!
What size wire are you welding with? Do you push or pull when you weld tubing? Can you do a short video on your welding technique.
I’ll do a video!

Came here to say the same thing. We use a local Amish Outfit and pay less than the cost to rent the compressor and sand for the day.
@@GiardinaMG yes sir
Most around here charge 2-300 just for blasting a bare frame.
@@ontheberm oh wow
AMEN about the cage height
You know what would help sell your chassis seeing some on the track would help
I’m sure it would, but that’s out of my control.
