I just realized the dlc took a while because they repolished and improved the whole game. The dev team really put all thier effort into this game. Respect.
More than that. The coding they made had to work with _hand-drawn_ animation. Frame by frame animation takes forever, and to actually put it together and create hitboxes, trigger points and making sure it runs smoothly? With the _Covid Pandemic_ and MHDR being one of the few game studios that’s known that the studio directors actually care enough to actually make sure their employees get breaks and rest? Five years is actually relatively fast for the sheer quality we got.
I love this because for the dlc, they didn’t try to bother releasing it early and just did everything they could to improve the gameplay and quality. Major respect and worth the wait
That final boss animation and art was truly stunning. His close up part was really amazing. A feel I have only seen a handful of times. Similar to the devil's close up final phase. Amazing art and animation that makes even Disney's Renaissance and Old Windmill short look bad at many times.
Kinda reminds me of Ikaruga mixed with Silhouette Mirage, with the polarity shift changing based on which direction you're facing. So double the Treasure love, on top of the fact that Cuphead is basically a loving tribute to Alien Soldier as it is :D
In the epilogue of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course, if you listen closely to the lyrics of the song called "A Chef's Coda", it clearly shows us how Chef Saltbaker made errors of his ways on how he had that power to become a psychopath cooking a living soul. This later proves that Chef Saltbaker is redeemed as a good chef rather than a bad chef. Edit: Not to mention, the whole song is 1st person, meaning that we are in the perspective of Chef Saltbaker. He is not only Wacking so scary, the arena we're standing in is being held by him, look closely, and these we're fighting was his good side and evil side. When you beat them, they got sucked to the devil skeleton eye, even the sand timer was broken before the fight. And you can't do this fight twice unless you change the fille or use hacks plus the way the devil skeleton staring at you make it more dark
look I recommend the convergent shot (yellow) because in the last phase will appear other demons and this cross shot ie will give damage to the devil and the demons will not disturb
Something cool to notice during the end scene when the boys give the news about the devil to the bosses you can see Wally warbles isn’t there most likely because the other birds ate him

I think if you say yes to the devil you turn evil but after if you want the good ending you need to restart the game but if you say no you will get the good ending
cant trash on devil since the dlc was basically to be amazing and look amazing and to be harder.
