Love it!!!! Didnt know MINDSCAPE made so many games for the Genesis, but one of my favorite games of all time is Outlander its totally underrated!

Delighted to hear an American correctly pronounce "snooker".
My uncle was a developer for Mindscape, so I would get every Mindscape title for Christmas. In the 80's and early 90's, I vividly remember being mad at every game Mindscape released because they were so wonky. The Last Starfighter in particular pissed me off to no end. (and yes I know it is a port of the 1985 game Uridium, but it still sucks)

Gods looks like a 50hz PAL game that was brought over without reprogramming. Like Shadow of the Beast and Back to the Future III

Outlander and Gods are great games. I agree with a B for them.
If you like Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker but looking for pool, check out Archer Macleans' Pool, both use the same game engine by the same dev (Archer Maclean). I had them on the Amiga back in the day, they were great!

I wish mindscape had ported over moonstone to the Genesis, that would have been a fun game.
I never had Amiga as a kid either but, as an adult I now own a Amiga 500, 600 & 1200 all UK PAL. I also have a PowerBook G4 with MorphOS.
World Series Baseball 95 was my favorite baseball game
I traded revolution x for outlander when I was 7, I cant count how many hours I have in it. I love that game.

Cool video! I’ll probably not be buying the sports games anytime soon cuz I’m not really into those but I’ll definitely need to buy Gods. I can’t believe I don’t have that already. I have close to 400 (390 to be exact) Sega Genesis games thus far and I don’t have that one lol. I’m hoping to get a complete retail set down the line minus the football or baseball games though I might get a few just to have (NBA Jam and David Robinson’s Basketball) maybe a few of the Madden ones but by and large I mainly need to get all the side scrollers and RPG’s.
When it comes to Mindscape, all I have to say is " Dahhhh, the milks gone bad, I give all their games 2 thumbs down. " Except Outlander, that one was almost fun to play, that is saying a lot for Mindscape.
I used to have an Amiga and an Atari ST growing up. Now that they are way too expensive I love that a lot of the games I can play on Genesis for cheap.
My brother and I play NCAA Football still to this day. Surprised to hear people don't like it.
I clicked this video to see if Championship Pool was on the Genesis and what it got. I had the game on the SNES and really enjoyed it

Good video! Nice ranking of games by Mindscape for the Sega Genesis! I do have Championship Pool, NCAA College Footbal and Super Battleship. The are okay games!
Excellent ranking video overall, however, some of the video editing looks a little jittery with the cuts.

I realized something after watching this video, I don't think I played any Mindscape Genesis games. I remember playing a few NES Mindscape titles, and not enjoying them, so maybe I just avoided these. Gods, and Outlander look cool, and I may have to check them out sometime.

Hey John, did you ever play RBI Baseball 2 for the NES? I think the Oakland As were over powered with the juice-heads McGuire and Canseco hitting a ton and Ricky Henderson's speed.
Wait... John, I know you had an Atari ST growing up so you could've played Gods on it! Please note, Amigans, I'm not saying it was a better version on the ST. With that said, I can remember when Mindscape was a power house of a games publisher in the 8-bit and 16-bit computer eras. Now I wanna check to see if there's an ST or Amiga version of Outlander. Then again, maybe I'll just fire up Battlewheels on the Atari Lynx since it was in that same genre. Fatal Run on the 7800 is also kinda in that genre although more like an RPG version of Roadblasters, the more I think about it...

I tried Super BattleShip a couple of years ago. I can't say i disliked it. It was cool for a little while. I agree w/ the C. Outlander is one I'm gonna HAVE TO try out, being Road Rash is my Absolute #1 Favorite series on the Genny.

Most Amiga ports to 16-bit consoles had a ton of speed issues.
Thumbs up solely for the Outlander praise. This is one of those cases where the Genesis version was far superior to the SNES version, which is crazy when you consider the fact that the SNES has potential advantages like more buttons for stuff like firing out car windows.

You know...when you finish this series you should move to other machines of the era. For example Iguana Games for the Snes, ADK games for the AES, and so on...

I love Baseball Stars both Arcade and NES. On Genesis I like the Sports Talk Baseball Series.
I loved all star baseball 2000 fo N64, still play RBI for NES (2player allstar game only)

Is the very first games i played on a disc floppy 💾 emulator. One of the first of its kind back in 1995.

Love your stuff but the amount of edits and cuts (oftentimes mid-sentence) is very obvious. If you aren’t able to discuss topics in a more ‘off the cuff’ manner, maybe write up a quick outline of what you plan on talking about? Should make for a much smoother viewing experience.
