Devante Swing and The Swing Mob (aka Da Bassment) | The Sad Ending

Devante Swing pioneered the Swing Mob, also known as Da Bassment. He is the brains behind Jodeci. He is a writer and producer who once traveled to Minnesota to audition for Prince. He didn’t get to meet him but when he got home he formed the group Jodeci with his brother Dalvin, K-CI and Jojo. Then he formed The Swing Mob aka Da Bassment.
The Swing Mob grew while Jodeci’s debut single Forever My Lady was a huge success. The group became one of the most iconic groups in R&B. While producing Jodeci’s legendary albums, he began to work with other artists too. He not only produced for established artists, he wanted to find and raise up new talent.
