Static was fine as hell and so talented it broke my heart to hear how he was treated at that hospital and when he cried holding his baby knowing that he wasn’t going to ever see her again 😢 . And his poor mom witnessing it all happen and not being able to help her baby boy

The same happened to me, I lost all my movement and my eye would not open and the hospital didn’t know what it was. I stayed 2 days until they realized I had Myasthenia Gravis. They offered the blood transfusion but I didn’t like that option and had my thymus gland removed, I went with the surgery instead. Static story is the reason I didn’t choose that option. So sad about his story.

My heart goes out to his wife and children. I work as a labor and delivery nurse so I’m very used to hearing all the statistics about black women dying in the hospital. I am now hearing more and more stories about Black men as well. Okay player / hip hop Dx released an article recently saying how hospitals have failed Black male artists and MF Doom and Prodigy of Mobb Deep were two names they mentioned. It was heartbreaking
He changed the 2000s. Most of the hits were summertime anthems. Grind on me was played around the clock. Lollipop as well, and we know they had like 50 remixes to it. Amazing to learn he’s behind the other culture classics.
You did an absolutely amazing job on this video, RESPECT 💯💯....as someone who was there during the Sista, Playa, Timbaland & Magoo etc days, this was a very thorough dive into the scene & goings on of that time; Static (and Playa) was always someone I felt never got the recognition he deserved and was talented beyond the credit he was given, thank u sir, for another dope look into these artists lives, not just the hype
This video was so well done, as always!!!! The most I’ve learned about Static. His passing never and still doesn’t sit right with me. So sad, true talent and underdog that was about to have his time 😢 man
I hope his wife won enough money so the family never has to work a day in their life. What that doctor and hospital did was waaaay wrong I’m shocked. I bet all of those 1200 unreleased music are fire. My hearts broken we lost such a talented young man. 😢
My GF at the time worked at that hospital, and she came home from work that day crying telling me she had been somewhere in there and his mother just started talking to her about it and my GF didn't even know he had been in there, as it should be. But she knew how much i loved Statics music because I often played a mix of mid 90s stuff and most of it was his stuff. Also, my good friend Darius Townes was his engineer a few times, and so I met him a few times at his house in Jeff in Indiana. It's surreal to be in the presence of one of your musical heroes and in your homeboys house. I still blast Crank it Up for him on his bday.

I eat this content up! I miss this era & these talented artist soooo much 🥺
Static was one of the most underrated producers/songwriters of all time. Rest In Peace Static!
man static major wrote for so many artists its crazy most of the 2000s artist was his writings
If there’s ever a biopic for Static Major they have to do it justice and no one should be forgotten from Devante Swing to Aaliyah to Timbaland to Missy and everyone involved and that includes the casting, production and writing of the movie.
I recently was thinking about wanting to learn more about Static Major's story and saw this today. I feel like I got the full story now! Great job with this!
Shiii not even, soon as u dig for his unreleased or demo songs u get a fuller picture. Man was Michael Jacksons son
Playa is one the most underrated rnb groups ❤
Absolutely
Heartbreaking, my daughter is in remission for MG. It's really not handled well by most health professionals & society as a whole. I'm so glad I didn't allow the surgery and didn't let just anyone deal with her during her IVIG. Thank you for sharing this, Static was legendary never knew that's why he passed
It's sad how he died. I hope his wife/mom sued the doctor and hospital. He was so young, handsome, and talented. Aaliyah and Static harmonizing Are you that somebody is beautiful. Pure talent
They did and the won
Man, these stories you do bro, judged by juery, Chicago Illinois rocks with you and recognizes the hard work you put into your craft. God bless you and all the subscribers too 🙏
He is also credited on Brent Faiyaz Jackie brown. You can hear his vocals all in the background!
Rip static his music still in my rotation I wish we could’ve got more of his music he’s a highly underrated talent 🙏
Wow I’m embarrassed that I heard his name but never knew the extent of his contributions to Black music and music overall. This video was a great tribute 💕💕💕🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Right same here! I was like his name familiar but idk and almost skipped this. Glad I didn’t he made some major contributions 👏 ❤ 🙏🏿
I absolutely love those two ❤
This man wrote all the jams. May he rest well
You did an absolutely amazing job on this video, RESPECT 💯💯....as someone who was there during the Sista, Playa, Timbaland & Magoo etc days, this was a very thorough dive into the scene & goings on of that time; Static (and Playa) was always someone I felt never got the recognition he deserved and was talented beyond the credit he was given, thank u sir, for another dope look into these artists lives, not just the hype
Amen🏆🥹
Wayne should have paid more homage and appreciation for Static.
Why.... they sacrifice people; that's what they do...
I said the same thing to. He's wrong for that.
Everything you do is amazing. I never knew anything about Static! A super talented brother, RIP. Such a good dude.
Im also from Louisville so this one took me back, it’s always sad to see a young life cut short, especially if it could have been prevented 😢
Cheers to youuuuuuuu for givin me a chance was my ish..playa was such a dope and underrated group. Static Major was Cold!! So sorry this happened to him❤
Being an artist from Louisville I knew how monumental he was but I learned so much more than I ever knew from this video bro thanks fr
Bad loss for the industry, was a genius. RIP to a GOAT truly
