I remember finding that skull and died so many times try to make the nade jump. Halo 3 was my 1st real halo experience. Ahh the beautiful memories of that midnight release and everyone was exchanging gamer tags in line to form full groups. I really miss those days,
Imagine you’re a brand new Marine, fighting alongside the Master Chief for the first time, and you see him just punch the side of a banshee and teleport halfway across the map.
Imagine being a brand new marine sitting on a scorpion tank just for the chief blast you all across the battlefield (tank included) into a promethean underground network with *one* grenade.

I love how you use a banshee to manipulate time and space. Pretty unique, never thought of that before.
what is even happening. it looks cool how you just *pick up* a banshee from the ground with a granade, but that's now what I expected to do with it.
@@yargolocus4853 basically you’re wedging yourselves inside of the banshees hit box so that when it tries to “reset” itself if has to teleport the player so that it doesn’t kill you. The same thing can be done with reviver flood forms. You coax it into a perfect spot on the library, kill it, stand on its head and when the game tries to revive it it says “hey, two entities can’t be in the same place at the same time,” so it teleports the player through the wall.
You should check out Garishgoblin, a halo ce speed runner who I think discovered the banshee trick.

@Kristopher Prime You don't know what you're talking about at all. The MCC port is missing multiple graphical elements that make Halo:CE stand out graphically, even from other Halo games. It did not "need" a graphical update, no classic games do, but the last thing it needed was a botched transfer from the Xbox version to PC. Research this and you will find it is all factual. Otherwise don't reply.
@Kristopher Prime nah Halo CE Anniversary completely ruined the colours of the game. They removed the easily identifiable colours of most enemies - such as in classic CE the Red Elite is stronger than Blue Elite, in CE anniversary they have fancy armour and lighting that makes it hard to identify what kind of Elite you're shooting at. On top of that, you can barely see how much shields they have left when shooting at them. Also most areas have a really odd mix of colours lighting, which makes enemies and environments look straight up ugly: I think it's the art style also. CE doesn't really NEED the graphical update to be enjoyed, literally anyone can play the original CE today and still call it a masterpiece

The biggest reason I use classic graphics when playing CE is because of the colours. Invisible sword elites specifically become a fucking nightmare because their swords are just so dim, whereas with classic they're bright blue. The shields also being a lot dimmer is a factor. I prefer anniversary for certain sections but 90% of the time I'm on classic. Playing through legendary atm and classic just makes things so much easier to read.
If only we had unreal engine…

Is that confirmed? I have a serious gripe about it, coming from the original (though subpar) PC port. I still won't be able to play it though, as I use Linux, and the anticheat doesn't work right under Wine.

Thing I miss most from Halo CE iS the fact that grenades actually killed the enemies and had a proper area of effect. In later installments, even on easy it feels like grenades don't do jack shit to enemies, but still kill you very efficiently.
That, and the shotgun and pistol. CE shotgun and pistol are the best!
2 and 3 had decent grenades. They’re just outshined by the thermonuclear warheads of CE

normally I'm more into the montage side of Halo but this was easily one of the most enjoyable videos of the year so far.
What you did with the tank had me cranking up! Every marine screaming in fear and after you landed fkn Johnson “the thing on your left is the break, you gonna get us killed.” Hilarious it was perfect

When the grapple shot hit the ceiling, I knew it was a Mint Blitz video.
Really fun idea - getting to see all these ridiculous skills in a linear path. That music kicking in when grappling on to the drop ship was great - and even though I'm eager for more grapple action, it was nice to see variation throughout. Looking forward to more.

Great concept, I really like the idea of a segmented level and just swagging around showing how much potential fun ideas you can execute in one run. And the added humor with dialogue like Johnson before and after the tank launch + small edits really add to the enjoyment of this.
Hope to see this become a series as well
And the part at 1:10 can be seen as actually reading a book but dozing off for a minute or two and you need to re-read a few pages cause you weren't actually paying attention to reading :p
